We're taking our very first Disney cruise with family and friends. It's me 30 with 2 1/2 year old son, My mom, My godparents, their children who are two guys age 33 and 36, their children two girls age 5 and 7. And two female friends age 37 and 40.

Anyone on this cruise with us? I'm in stateroom 6560 deck 6 with a verandah with my mother and my son.

Can't wait to meet some of you!:flower3:

Alas, it's a long way away, but we are in as well. Can't wait for cruise #3!

DH, Me and DS who will be 10.

Hey! We may be joining you as well...currently have this cruise booked with a SPH room. We are sailing the Magic next month for the first time so I hope to rebook this to get the OBC and 10% discount. It will be me, DH, and DD who will be 8 on this particular sailing.

I had booked this cruise before our recent cruise on the Magic the week of April 11th (Eastern Caribbean). I was successful in being able to rebook it onboard, keep the same cabin, and get the discount and OBC - woo hoo!!!:thumbsup2

We had booked a cat 12 for the cruise we just took, got upgraded to a cat 9 and then purchased an upgrade at the port to a cat 5. We got an awesome deal on this cruise by doing it this way vs. buying the cat 5 upfront. Of course, we were running the risk of not getting an upgrade and / or there not being any upgrades available at the port, but thankfully it turned out well for us. Jenn, you will love the verandah!

All in all, it was a great trip for our family, who is me, DH, and DD 7. I look forward to having this group to talk Disney with over the next year since DH sort of can only take so much Disney talk !!!

Ahoy! We'll be aboard as well for our second cruise! "We" being myself, my wife and two DDs - who will be 14 and 12 at the time.

Also, we're bringing my Dad along for his first Disney cruise and will be celebrating his 80th birthday a couple of months early.

Welcome CharlieZ!

This thread is quiet...hmm....

Well anyway, we may be changing our date on this cruise. We sailed this same week this year and it was awesome, I highly recommend this time of year to go. But, I am sort of thinking it might be fun to go on a Christmas cruise, so we may switch to Christmas 2010. Not sure whether we'd do the 7 or 11 night (probably 7 just due to the cost alone!), but we are looking at both as options. But I'm not moving this reservation until we make up our minds for sure, as I have my onboard discount and OBC tied to this week and will need to "move" the resevation to keep those...so for now, we are planning on sailing at Easter again and looking forward to doing the Western itinerary this time. DH, DD, and I have all been to Grand Cayman before on a land vacation, but DD has not been to Key West or Cozumel. DH and I have been to those places, but to see it through her eyes may be totally different.

Count us in on the 4/3/10 sailing! It will be myself (Allison), DH (Dan), DD (Haley-18) and DS (Calen-13). Is anyone interested in participating in FE's? We have never done this, but it seems to be a lot of fun and a great way to get to know other DISers. Looking forward to another great time aboard the Magic!!! :yay:

We are looking forward to another great spring break cruise on the Magic! We are in 3 cat. 4 rooms- 10 of us in all! My family, my parents, celebrating their 80th b-days, & my brother's family. At sail time the kids will be: ds-14, dd-5, nieces 9 & 6. We would like to do FE's. They were a big hit on our last cruise.

Wake up! Wake up! The spring break cruise is only 8 months away! We just switched from the Thanksgiving to the Spring break cruise.

My family is looking forward to Key West and DH is looking forward to the stop in Mexico.

Yes we need FE's and we need more members! And we need to start chatting!

Our family is me DM, then DH, DD 14, and a DGM who is on her first cruise. I want to be sure DGM has a great time.:wizard:

Yes, I am sending all of you PM's to say hello again. Disboards are my fav way to ramp up for a cruise.

Okay -- Evidently DIS is blocking URLs making use of the Tiny URL service. Sorry, I didn't get the memo! (Nor did I put a cover sheet on my TPS report... but I digress.)

Anyway, you can replace those 7 stars with Tiny URL (no space) or just go directly to the Disney Blog. I promise, nothing nefarious about my link - it was just a very long URL!

Hiya Charlie!

I'm looking forward to seeing progress on Castaway Cay too! I think the leaky house thing is my fav so far. Of course they could just triple the number of hammocks.

It really feels like we are in the home stretch after booking more than a year in advance! Thanks for the link. I'd totally go for one of those private beach cabanas!

Howdy!

It looks like we have few members, but a couple of the members are bringing a large number of family. That will be fun. I think the cabanas would be so great for a situation like that.

I've been working on my cruise payoff budget and my non cruise expense budget. It's down to the wire now and we need to be ready.

Are there any excursions you are planning? I'm thinking of skipping all but a historical excusion in Mexico.

Hello fellow cruisers!

DD and I were in JoAnn etc this weekend and saw lots of new Disney Notions and Scrapbooking supplies available. We are trying to think of ways to use them in door decorations and FE creation.

I hope all of you are doing well and we can get together on the boards and on board soon.

TTYL:hippie:

We are traveling with my husbands family. My family of 4: husband and two boys (4 & 8); sister-in-law and her husband, daughters (10 & 1), son (8); and my mother & father in-law. We have done Disney together twice and decided to go for the cruise this time!!!

Has anyone ever put their kids in the kids club? Or do you plan to? It sounds like a lot of fun.

Also, does anyone know if DCL does anything for Easter?

We went on the Easter cruise in 2008 (on the Magic), and there was an Easter service on Sunday morning in the Sessions piano lounge. We also ordered two Easter baskets for our girls, which were waiting for them when we came onboard.
