There was a rumor that main attractions like BTM would be closed in stages, and would re-open temporarily over seasonal periods....does anyone know if that has been confirmed yet either way?

Debating whether or not to go this Christmas or wait until 2017 :scared1:

This is what the official Disneyland Paris website says about it. Seems like it's closed from early November to September 2016.

I've not heard that rumor at all. As far as I am aware once the ride closes it will be for the duration of the refurbishment, the BTM refurbishment is a huge undertaking and involves re-painting the whole ride (which means draining the Rivers of the Far West), installing new ride controls and changes to the carrages. They will also be installing new special effects. So I can't see any of this being done in stages. The offical DLP website states it's closed for the duration of the refurbishment.

Sorry to thread hijack a little...... but whats involved in the thunder mesa riverboat refurb? Are the boats getting refurbed as well? Would be awesome to see both the boats back in action at the same time, or just the dock and draining the rivers? Is this the refurb where they hope to get the geisers working again?

Was sad to see Mark Twain rotting away in the corner.
