Firstly I apologise if the above thread title is confusing, but the removal of borrowing restrictions has presented some interesting opportunities to us!

Currently we have a March 2023 trip booked split between Poly (standard) and Riviera (standard studio) as our home resorts. We are however going to be doing 4 nights previous to this and based on 50% point borrowing we were going to book a standard SSR studio when the 7 month window opens (we like 3 resort stays, what can I say!).

Thing is though, we aren't planning on travelling in the following UY so now we can borrow max points we are thinking of splurging (not everything, but you know). So were are kinda torn, we could upgrade our RRV studio to a 1 bedroom and book the SSR studio for the first 4 nights. Or alternatively we could book an SSR 1 bedroom for the first 4 night (as opposed to the studio), or wildcard option we could book a 1 bedroom BRV for those first 4 nights. We do own at BRV but not enough points to stay in a 1 bedroom ordinarily and we have been waiting for the refurbishment to be completed before we stay there again and it seems theres a chance it will be!

So the 3 choices are essentially, split stays comprising either:
  1. 1 bedroom SSR/Poly studio/Riv studio
  2. 1 bedroom BRV/Poly studio/Riv studio
  3. SSR studio/Poly studio/1 bedroom Riv
So assuming availability remains the same (big if!), what would you do! :)

I like to roll the dice and think that the BRV renovation will be done or close to it by next March (HAHA, I know), so I would take a shot on staying in a refurbished room there.

I voted for you ending up in a 1br Riv. I think it's hard going from a 1br to a studio. We often try to finish at Riv to have some slower paced days.
This would be my choice, too (although I think your trip is too short to move twice. Idealy, I'd do a Poly/1 Bed Riviera split).

I voted this way too for the same reason as you mentioned, but also because I want the in-room laundry closer to the end of the trip so I can was the clothes that we've already worn.

We're actually away for 14 days, so current plan is 4 nights somewhere when the debate has been settled :rotfl2: , then we're doing 4 nights at the Poly and then the remainder the Riviera.

It's an adult only trip, so the switching of resorts shouldn't be a problem!

Yes, I too voted to end with the 1 Bedroom for that reason. Always finish strong!

Unfortunately I voted before realizing the op was listing them in order.
I agree to always end with the larger unit for laundry :)

I voted for RIV studio as our family would prefer 2 showers rather than 1 tub & 1 shower
