The cast: just me and my dh, Greg. (me 50'ish, him late 40's). Newlyweds, just married April 1, 2001.

Our day began in East Rutherford (NJ), where we woke up at 4 (yucch), and left around 5 to drive to an off-site long-term parking facility near Newark Liberty Airport. One of their vans drove us to the airport where we checked in and were able to get the emergency row (YES!!!). Our flight was uneventful (a muffin for a "snack"). We arrived safely in Orlando and met up with our Tiffany Towncar driver, Hector. Hector stopped at the Kash n' Karry so we could do a beer run. Then on to the Port Orleans Riverside.

We checked in and got Room 9740 in Parterre (water view, corner room). After saying "oh look! a boat" about a half dozen times, I figured that was gonna happen frequently so I gave up on that. We just rested the rest of the day (this is a resting vacation, last month we were in WDW in a "commando" visit with my sister and her husband). We ate at the food court (burger for me/quesadilla for Greg), then our Tiffany Towncar driver, Sam, picked us up at 6:15 to go to the TD Waterhouse Center (arena) in Orlando, for the Bruce Springsteen concert (our main reason for being in WDW two months in a row). Sam was great, told us a great place to meet him afterwards, which we did with no problem at all. The show was (of course) great! Started a little after 8, finished around 11, and we were back at POR by 11:45 (thanks Sam!).

to be continued...

What a way to start off your trip - thanks for posting!

How wonderful! A WDW world vacation plus Bruce Springstein!!! Wish I had been there!!!

I told my sister we should have went to Orlando to see Bruce. She has been to many other states as my sister has more time to follow him around then me! Disney and Bruce - perfect together!!!!

The women sitting next to us actually had tickets to Tampa on Sunday too. Unfortunately, they couldn't use them due to a family situation. They were trying (???) to sell them. I doubt if they had much trouble doing that! It was magical!
