Brrr.. It's cold out there!

I only lasted for an hour and a half at the campfire tonight - too chilly for me.. This is the time of the year when we need more of a bonfire than a campfire, but since my DD and her DH are using the smaller pit, the fire just isn't warm enough for me..

Is the autumn chill setting in now in your area? Our nights are getting chilly - sometimes downright cold - but during the day isn't too bad.. Mid 60's to mid 70's.. Love that kind of weather!

Sure isn't!!! This is my first fall away from VA and I am loving this Florida weather! I wouldn't call it a chill but the nights are balmy and a breezy and just downright delightful for me.

Our night's are getting cold here too. Last night it got down to 51 degrees and I had to close all the windows earlier than I normally do. I do love this time of year though. It is comfortable throughout the day and and perfect sleeping weather at night. It is also good for hot chocolate and spiced cider before bed.

We have a kind of muggy feel in the air today. (we don't get humidity here!) It's supposed to rain tomorrow (another rarity for this time of year).

DH & I are fighting either colds or allergies and didn't go to our godson's football game this afternoon. My sis said it was just as well - it was too breezy.

But, yes, our evenings are getting noticeably cooler. We watch our younger DS & DDIL play softball on Tuesday evenings, and it's blanket weather now.

california is much dryer weather, so the cool fronts last for days. Not too chilly, but much cooler during the day and night than florida weather. Dallas is pretty humid with all the rain they've had. So it makes me feel like i'm, back in florida.
I am not looking forward to the longer winter of california, although it does not snow in the valley. But i love the cool summer breezes.

I was at a festival today and it was in the 90s. It was brutal...all concrete, NO shade, no breeze. I was glad when it got dark! Our low today is supposed to be 77.

I can't really complain though. I prefer the heat to the cold.

We had a few nights in the 30's this week.. It's 49 right now - and still dropping.. The "good" part about that though is the leaves will start changing colors faster.. In that department, we're a little behind this year..

Well, I had to clean the filter on the Air Conditioner today, so no, not chilly here yet. We are getting close to the time when I can open the windows and not have the A/C turn on, but not there yet.
We normally have at least one 100 degree day in October, so I won't switch off the A/C yet.

It is currently 1C here which is 33F. We have a frost warning tonight for the first time this year. Well, this season. We have had snow here every month of the year at some point so it's not surprising that it has cooled down so fast. From here on out, every day that we don't see snowfall is a blessing.

It's not fall here (in VA) yet acejka! Still high 80's, some low 90's being predicted this week. Flip flops, shorts & tank tops all around. I am a summer lovin' girl, but after this summer, I'm over the heat, want some crisp (not cold) air so I can open my windows and turn off my A/C!

You're making me jealous. I don't like cold or chilly days and love Florida at this time of year, but with the new grandbabies coming, we won't head south this year till January so I'm just going to have to adapt to the cold. Right now its 49 degrees outside - Brrrrr!

Autumn temps are just beginning here C.Ann, not a moment too soon and I'm enjoying open windows and fresh air ! Honestly, it was so unbearably hot in Md. this summer I am thus far breathing a sigh of relief and enjoying the cooler weather . Our morns are delightful 60'ies* with days warming up but not hot enough to need AC and the nights mid 50’ies.* Our county fair is usually too hot or too wet, but today was a pleasant 75* making for an enjoyable outing to get my annual funnel cake fix . Def. no frost yet, but by mid Oct we should have beautiful leaves.

Still way too hot here. Upper 90s during the day, 70ish at night. And muggy! To quote our (horrible) new weekend weather girl, "heat indices won't be much into the 100s next week"......
