Brownies--Frosting or no frosting?

I sprinkle chocolate chips on top before baking. Then, after they are cooled, I sprinkle powdered sugar on top! My kids LOVE them!
 
I prefer no frosting, fudgy. If your event is outdoors it might be better without frosting due to warm weather. Frosting might get runny if it is too hot.
 
I prefer nuts and no frosting.
 

Frosting is for cakes, don't do it!!!!! :laughing:
 
Prefer no frosting, but I will eat it either way. Oh and no nuts. I might pass it up then. I don't like nuts in my brownies.
 
The thought of frosted brownies makes me feel a bit sick, I think it'd be too rich.

Definitely prefer no frosting, but I also make 'em more fudgy than cakey. If they're closer to cake texture, frosting is okay. :thumbsup2

(and I :lovestruc walnuts in my brownies, like my mom used to make 'em)

Anyhow, I will not refuse a brownie no matter what is on it or in it. I'll take it with or without frosting, with or without nuts, with or without ANYTHING really. I LOVE BROWNIES!!!!!!!!!! :lovestruc


BUT when I make them there are only TWO ways I make them. I either put a bag of chocolate chips in them or I make a cream cheese/mini chocolate chip mixture and spread it on the top of the batter before baking them.

I don't like frosting and I undercook my brownies a few minutes. My kids like they gooey!
 
I would go without frosting if kids are going to be eating the brownies. Less sugar and mess.

I buy the big box at Costco, and use 3 mixes in a large pan. I line it with quick release foil, bake, cool, and freeze. Then, I cut off what I need (I'm on the baking committee), and the brownies have straight edges (no crumbles). Everyone asks for my recipe!

OP, although ds12 LOVES when I frost the brownies, I don't think it's needed. I love nuts (walnuts) in mine, but most don't.
 
OP here...It looks like I'll be going with no frosting (so far) and definitely no nuts. I like the idea of using the Ghiradelli mix.
 
If they're gooey and not cake, then without frosting.
If they're more like a cake, then frosting.

Absolutely no nuts.
