Okay, after a FREEEEEEEEEEZZZZZING morning at Animal Kingdom, we were on our way back to the warmth and comfort of our Lodge!!!!! We did have to wait ten minutes for a bus. As we walked up to the bus stop, the Grand Floridan/Wilderness Lodge bus was pulling away!!! There were just a few people on our bus and we were the only ones to get off at WL.

We really wanted to rent water mice, but they weren't allowing any small boats out today because of the weather -boo hoo, so we rented a surrey bike instead! DH and I peddled with Marcus sitting between us. What a gorgeous day!!!!!! It wasn't as cold anymore and we really enjoyed the path to Fort Wilderness. We did see the Wilderness Lodge sleigh ride. WOW! It looked like so much fun! It was a quick ride to FW -about fifteen minutes. We got to FW and went to the petting zoo. Marcus did not want to ride the ponies, but he did feed and pet the other animals. While we were there, we got a call from my inlaws. There were here! We rode back to the lodge. On our way, a family came along walking. A little girl was crying and had a nice size boo boo on her knee. The mom asked us if we had a bandaid. Dh started to say no. I said, "Of course we do" and reached for his fanny pack. I am me and I'm in Disney, therefore, I've got bandaids-it's that simple. On our way up to the lobby we met my FIL. He informs us that grandma is in the room unpacking and that their room is on the seventh floor! They were upgraded from standard to concierge! How do you like that? Well, DS had to see his grandma, so off we went to the seventh floor! I have to say that we weren't too impressed with the lounge ( or lack of), but they did have nice food offerings , even just for tea time. After visiting for a bit and Marcus opening his birthday gifts, we went back to our room to rest. Mousekeeping left us a towel penguin today. Very appropriate. Finally, mom and Luc returned from a full day at MK!!! I thought they were too tired to go out! Well, maybe they were just tired of keeping up with us!

Around 6:30pm we dropped Marcus off at the Cub's Den. When we walked in, the CM looked up and said, "Marcus?" These people are good. We had to sign something and she took my cell # and asked where we would be. I asked about dinner and she said that they would let him choose what he wanted. Good enough. There were about six kids there, all around his age. He saw the art table and that was that.

We checked in at Artist Point and went to wait in the Territory Lounge with the others. We got some drinks and watched the end of the Florida-Florida State game. Well, two minutes to go and Florida scores a touchdown! Yipee! All the Florida fans are happy! However, that doesn't mean anything, since they always choke. Well, they lost. Oh, well, my pager goes off and we're off to dinner!

Artist Point was wonderful! We started off with the venison Springs rolls and the mussels. I had the buffalo, DH had the scallops, others had the salmon and scallops. Everything was very good and only came to just over $200. I have to say that I prefer Jiko (at Animal Kingdom Lodge).

After dinner we went to pick up Marcus at the Cub's Den. He didnt' want to leave. Okay... so we came back for him a half hour later. Very worth the $25 to keep him entertained and fed.

Off to bed. We had a great view from our balcony of the Magic Kingdom fireworks . We watched for awhile and then got ready for bed. I just love turndown....

tomorrow: Marcus birthday at the Magic Kingdom and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!!!!!

GO FSU!!!!:teeth:
Enjoying your reports-get going on the next! We arrived at WDW the day you did, but left earlier. Interesting to note differences in the parks etc.
