Friday, Nov 28th

Got up at 6am and got dressed. I had to go down to the front desk because my room key was not working. No problem- got a new one within seconds!

It was about 7am so I walked over to mom's room. They were asleep. Eek!!! Time to get moving...

We all took the van to MGM at 8am. At rope drop, mom and Marcus went to the Great Movie ride and DH, Luc, and I headed over to Tower of Terror with the masses. It took us a total of about 5-10 minutes to actually get on. OH MY GOD!!!! It was so scary!!! My butt was about 18 inches off the seat! Never again....

We met up with mom and DS over at the GMR. Dh, Luc, and Marcus went back on and mom and I decided to get some Grapefruit cake from Starring Rolls. It was very good. The characters were out in full force and dressed for Christmas.
Pluto and Minnie were together. She was dressed in a cute Christmas dress (floor length) and Pluto has reindeer antlers.

We all walked over to Star Tours. No line at all. Just Luc, DS, and I rode. Then we all went on the Backlot tour-5 minute wait.

I took Marcus over to the Honey I shrunk the Kids playground, while everyone else took a bathroom break. We stayed about 10 minutes. It was crowded, but no more crowded than any other time we'd been there.

It was finally time for our PS for lunch at Sci-Fi Dine In. We checked in and had to wait about 20 minutes. The restaurant was sooo cool!!!!!! It really felt like we were at the drive in! DH and I shared the reuben and it's a good thing, because it was huge!!We had a blast here and the food was great!

After lunch we headed back to the Lodge. I was really wiped out.

DH and DS napped while I studied on the balcony. Mousekeeping left us a cute little bunny to go with our turkey. So far so good-crowds were not bad and the weather was great. Some things were about to change.....

We had a PS for dinner at Teppanyaki, so we decided to get to Epcot by way of the Boardwalk! This was our first time there. Mom and Luc stayed at the Boardwalk Inn in May and loved it.

We parked the car and headed to the Boardwalk. WOW!!! It's so pretty and the lake was not as big as I imagined. Our goal for our May trip is to stay in this area. As we headed through the International Gateway we noticed the sky. It was black with clouds!!!! It started pouring as we got to the turnstiles. We had to stop right there to buy ponchos (all five of us) because our Mickey ponchos were back at the WL!!!! Well, as soon as I paid for the new ones and got the stroller, it stopped raining. It never rained again. Those ponchos came home brand new!!!!!! Lesson learned! It did start to get cooler.

We stopped in Great Britain and Marcus got a new mask to work on. Next stop- France. Saw the movie, Impressions de France. Very good, but it made me a little bit tired/queasy. Saw the Beast in one of the little shops in France- no line, so mom and I got our pictures with him! He's so huge! Walked over to Japan and checked in at Teppanyaki. Had a long wait here, but it was worth it!!! This was the highlight of our trip! Our chef was incredible. We laughed so hard and DS fell out of his chair twice from laughing. The chef made a volcano out of an onion and was trying to serve us shrimp tails. The food was delicious. We had a great time here.

After dinner it was a little cooler outside. We walked over to France and got some pastries and coffee and went over to the bridge to watch Illuminations. It was very windy and we were all exhausted, so we decided to skip Illuminations and head out. Of course DH had to run into ESPN club and buy a huge glass. We were back at the Lodge and in our warm beds in no time. Mouskeeping had turned down our beds and our bathroom was nice and tidy with clean towels. Did I mention that I just love the Wilderness Lodge???? DS had a sleep over at mom's room tonight, so DH and I got a break.

Tomorrow....
Animal Kingdom, inlaws arrive, and Artist Point
