They used to make appearances at the Canada pavilion at Epcot, but on my visit there in 12/04, the CM told me they no longer come there. She suggested that they sometimes show up on the Character Bus at Epcot, and I have heard that sometimes they are at Animal Kingdom (maybe at Camp Minnie/Mickey?).
We saw Kenai and Koda in April at EPCOT near the entrance.
And I can speak from personal experience that if there are characters that your ds really wants to see, you can find them! Just ask at your resort guest services in the morning and they can usually point you to the park where they'll likely be. Then when you get to that park just ask guest services there and you can get a pretty good idea of time/place to find them. Last year my dd had her heart set on seeing Mulan and with the help of the CMs at gs we found her (right where they said she'd be!).
We saw both bears on the Characters on Holiday bus this past May when it stopped in Japan. See my sig. pic below
I love the Brother Bear movie- I think its really underrated, its one of the best animated movies Disney has come out with in the past few years. And the moose commentary on the DVD is hilarious!
I *bears* mentioning that there is a whole Brother Bear area and show at Disney's California Adventure. I always tell folks, if they haven't tried Disneyland, do it. The travel costs might be higher, but there are many economical accommodations closer to the parks than anything in WDW. And much less walking to see even more rides than WDW!
MrShiny, that's exactly what we are doing in July 2006! Trip to Disneyland and California Adventure (well, we're actually doing San Francisco, the coast, San Diego too; just a 2-week California trip to celebrate our 50th birthdays and our wedding anniversary). I've been reading up, and seeing Brother Bear is one of the tops on our list. Second will be the new Monsters Inc. ride.
The only time I was in Disneyland was when my daughter was 18 months old. When we go back, she'll be 16 and my son will be 12. Time Flies!
