Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

I really want to go to Rafiki's on our next trip -- if we ever went there, it was a long time ago.

Brooklynn is brave with that snake. I really like reptiles and would love to have some as pets at some point, but I can't imagine that I'd ever have gotten close to a snake at her age.

Great shots of the gorillas! That picture of Bella is just too cute for words. :cutie:

That picture of Bella is beyond cute. Love her expression!
You know MeMom, that's the best picture of a gorilla hiney I have ever seen.:lmao:
That picture of all the girls with Rafiki makes me smile, I love the way Brooklynn has her hand draped over his leg! That little gal is very comfortable with her characters!:rotfl:

Is it wrong that I'm turning 27 tomorrow and I want one of those adorable little stuffed animals wrapped in a blanket? :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

sorry

I told you would catch up and I have not. I will when I get back.

Ah, the meerkats were out and playing for you! I hope they decide to make an appearance the next time I am there -- I was so miffed that they were hiding in June.

Aside from the snake, Rafiki's looked quite fun -- the possum getting his check-up is very cool! I don't think I have ever seen a possum intact before. ;) (Sorry, I just could not resist.)

I don't remember ever having been there when the meerkats were not out. I think we've seen them every time.

Rafiki's is interesting. We go there often. A lot of people never even think of going out there at all, but it's just nice for something different, and there are almost always characters with no/very short lines.

Nice update.
Where are those elephants? Bella looks like she's really enjoying her self and Brooklyn's having a blast like always. She's not doing her pose with the characters:lmao::cutie:
When do we see Brooklyn take Bella on Dumbo?:confused3

Right when you get off the train in Rafiki's. Brooklynn has been posing with them, and now Bella joins her. It will be fun to watch them grow through the years.

I'll have to look. We're on Sunday, so I'm guessing we went to MK Monday.

I really have to do that again! While I would be more than happy to pass on the snake :scared1:(Brooklynn you are super brave :worship:), I realy like the vet shots you have had and have here.

What a great time at AK. There should always be "do overs" when you miss a character:goodvibes

PS-The TR has begun...

I went right on over there, too. It will be extra fun for us to see your French Quarter pictures now!

Is that the crazy bathroom at the planet watch that has animal noises inside of it? LOL! I love Brooklynn (and Bella's) shirts! Jill, i'm addicted to the creative board too! I've done some of my own, ill eventually share them in my pre-trip!

I can't remember if there were noises when we were in there.

You could spend hours looking at all of the unique designs on those threads!

Aww man I so regret not going through the Pangani trail while we were there! I love all the gorilla and meerkat pictures! The gorillas are probably so fun to just sit there and watch for a little while.

I want to definitely try and go back to see Rafiki's Planet Watch. Hopefully I'll get as lucky as you did last time you were there and see a tiger on the doctor's table. I think if I saw a possum, I would run because I think they're so gross!

Can't wait to read more :)

That's what's great about going back again and again. You can do some things this time and lots of different things next time. It would be hard to run out of things to do to make each trip different.

awesome picture! the gorillas...my favorite part of any day at AK. i can't wait to see them again!

nice.

so cute!

look at his little feet!

I'm glad you're getting some DIS time in, Dawn! You've been working too hard!

I noticed the feet right away, too!

She thought it was pretty cool. We may have to try again this trip and see what kind of creatures are out for her to touch.

Thanks.

I think Bella is so cute in her little hats. I laugh at her expressions all the time. I'm about to die to see her again...and I get to do that this weekend!

So I might win a gorilla bum picture contest some day, huh, if there ever were such a thing created?

Brooklynn considers the characters old friends. She has grown up with them! She's so funny at the character meals, because even though she knows they are coming to her table, she always does her little "They're coming to see me?" thing just to be reassured.

Is it wrong that I'm turning 27 tomorrow and I want one of those adorable little stuffed animals wrapped in a blanket? :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Nope. I think that's a perfect present. Have a great birthday! I've already been over to your PTR to celebrate. Hope I didn't wake you!

For some reason, I am not surprised one little bit!:rotfl2:

We're all just kids at heart, and I never want that to change!

sorry

I told you would catch up and I have not. I will when I get back.

Have a blast, Scott!

I am finally up to date with you guys can't wait for future trip reports

We're glad you're here. Hope you enjoy many pictures and lots of good trips to come!

great updates MeMom!! I love your pictures of the gorillas! Absolutely beautiful!!! Can't wait to read more!

Thank you so much. I do have a quick ride question... did you do Toy Story Mania (haven't done yet)? Soarin? I think these have a pregnancy warning, but a lot of pregnant women ride. Seems it would be fine, but would love to hear your experience. I am sad b/c Abby will be able to ride Barnstormer for the first time, but I won't be able to go with her - boo hoo. I think I am reaching the tail end of the nausea and tiredness, thank goodness.

I rode Toy Story Mania and Soarin multiple times on both trips, as well as the Safari which also has a pregnancy warning. As long as you're in good health and having a normal pregnancy you should be fine. Just be careful on how far down you bring your lap bar down in Toy Story Mania.

Hey! That snake resembles our snake!
I've never seen a possum lying on his side and STILL breathing!!! They do have cute little feet, as Dawn pointed out.

Thanks. More coming.
Not gorillas, but other stuff.

I'm not sure if the possum was just getting a check-up or what. I didn't see to much of that because I was following Brooklynn around. Jill sat there with Bella for a little bit, so she may have more input as to what they were doing.

Continuing on through Animal Kingdom.

Bats are our friends.

I could make a flip book out of those pictures.

Pretty feathered friends preening each other.

IMG_0253.jpg

Walking one of the trails around the tree.

IMG_0255.jpg

Another water feature.

IMG_0257.jpg

Jill wanted me to take a picture of this pirate-like outfit.

IMG_0261.jpg

Most restaurants we eat at do not have furniture on the roof.

IMG_0262.jpg

Measuring Brooklynn for her much anticipated Dinosaur ride.

IMG_0263.jpg

She fell short and was heartbroken.

Look at that sad baby.

IMG_0265.jpg

But she made a Dino friend and did get over her disappointment.

Jill and John's picture on Dinosaur.

IMG_0269.jpg

Merchandise in the gift shop.

IMG_0274.jpg

Lots of fun Disney animals.

IMG_0275.jpg

Then Jill and I went.

IMG_0277.jpg

I remember my leg was really, really hurting while we were waiting here.

I was pretending to take a picture here, because I knew that's what you guys would expect me to really be doing!

IMG_0281.jpg

The lady in front of us looks genuinely frightened.

What was the price of gas when pumps looked like this?

IMG_0282.jpg

With this across the lake as our view, we sat in an outdoor pavilion at Flame Tree and ate.

IMG_0283.jpg

I don't remember what John got, I don't think I got anything, and Jill got the fruit plate.

IMG_0284.jpg

Note that the 'candaloob' is missing. That's because we have a little girl who looooves candaloob! She promptly took it from her mommy.

Animal Kingdom has interesting decor everywhere.

IMG_0285.jpg

IMG_0287.jpg

IMG_0288.jpg

While we were under the shelter, it began to storm.

IMG_0289.jpg

We left and went back to Pop. Brooklynn and I had birthday cards waiting for us.

IMG_0290.jpg

It rained for a couple of hours, but it was okay. We were in our happy place and had lots of time ahead of us.

IMG_0291.jpg

IMG_0292.jpg

I was trying to get the raindrops hitting the water.

IMG_0293.jpg

I love the decorations and and small details to attention all over AK. The Tree of Life is simply amazing.

Aw..that sad face on Brookie makes ME sad for her! :guilty: Haha, of course she made a friend that fast. Who could say no to that adorable face. :cutie:

Haha, I think that is great you took a pic of that "pirate" outfit MeMom! I get surprised at some of the things I see people wearing at WDW.

Bats are our friends.

IMG_0229.jpg

I need some bats to come live in my backyard -- the mosquitoes have been eating us alive lately!

But she made a Dino friend and did get over her disappointment.

IMG_0268.jpg

Who knew that one can talk to a dinosaur just like one talks to the family puppy! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: This picture is precious!

Poor Brooklyn! What a disappointment not to be able to ride Dinosaur! Was she pretty close? Any chance she will be tall enough in October?

Jill and John on Dinosaur are hilarious! Then we have a certain someone taking a picture (cough, cough, hiding behind the camera) in the next one.....
Sorry Brooklynn was disappointed about the ride, do you think she will like it when she gets a little taller?

So as I watched the Turtle pics I thought... that would be a cool flip book. Teachers think like that I guess.

Wow. I missed a few days and it took me an hour to catch up :0) The pictures are great!! I have not been to AK in a while so it is really cool to see it again. MeMom I am so glad you are getting your surgery. Good luck. I iwll be sending good thoughts to you on the 9th!

I love the Animal Kingdom shirts. Does it make me old if I remember when gas pumps looked like that and gas was about 25 cents a gallon?
