Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

Hi memom how's the knee? My husband had a surgery on his a few years ago I'll have to asl him what it was called but he was back up and dancing with in a week- 10 days. The surgery isn't something to do the day before. How was the 1st week of school with the students. My kids start on Monday. Also where do you get cowboy mickey? That shirt is too cute. And I'll have to mention to a certain someone that I like that necklace:rolleyes1
Feel better. Are you going to the Nemo party tomorrow? If so give the girls a huggie for me.

I'm so glad that you're getting an MRI and that you will be good to go on your October trip! My mom and I were actually wondering and hoping earlier that it would be okay.

I hope the party goes well, I am looking forward to any pictures!

Great updates and pics.

Hopw nice of you to buy the kids the toys to play with.

Is Red Robin good? I have seen them on my way to my Uncles but never stopped.

I didn't mean to mislead you.....I didn't make that cake...I just liked the pic I found off the internet. I thought it looked cute. Someone did a fabulous job, but it wasn't me. ;)

I'm sure BrooklynnsMommy's cake is going to be great! :thumbsup2

I love window shopping with you, MeMom.:goodvibes Cute, cute stuff.

Here's to CM's who reward "Disney" behavior in their guests.:thumbsup2

Glad the doctor's visit went well.

Looking forward to hearing about Brooklyn's birthday bash.:dance3:

Wow, Friday night football already? I think we have a couple more weeks until our first game. I'll bet they missed you terribly when you retired from running that concession stand. We have helped in our stand in the past and it's got to be so much work to make that thing run!
I hope your team is doing well! I can't wait to be out in the stands.:cheer2:

That was very fun and very hard work! I loved getting to see lots of different people as they took their turns working. It was great to have time to chat with them and catch up with the latest with their families. Between ordering, personally going to buy, loading, setting up, overseeing the games, cleaning up afterwards, sometimes going back the next morning to finish, (especially after high school football, because those nights were crazy!) it was a whole other job in terms of hours. I loved doing it, but it was wearing on me with the increasing demands of school, and when Jill was going to have Brooklynn, it just seemed like a good time to break away. I just told them it was time to let someone else (it ended up being several someone elses) take over so that I could see my new baby on weekends.

I know lots and lots of people through the kids' school and through running the concession stand, so I am happy I did it. I was also happy last night not to be leaving school to go straight over to the concession stand to start setting up for the game and working for another six hours. ;) I was happy to be vegging out in my bed dreaming of walking normally and pain-free again!

First of all so glad that the doctor is going to be able to help repair your leg before your October trip MeMom that is great news!!

I love the pictures of all the shopping merchandise...it really makes me want to be at Disney right now LOL...I can't wait to be able to browse and buy some great Disney stuff to bring home with me!!

Bringing home Disney stuff is the best! Trent was getting ready to go out last night and he came through wrapped in a big old Wilderness Lodge towel. Instant happiness! :)

That's what I'm thinking - 10 days to a couple of weeks.

The first week was less than fun since I was sick. I'm going to pretend next week is my first week.

I'm leaving here around 5 to go to Jill's to help her finish setting up for the party.

I think there will be pictures. :)

Great updates and pics.

Is Red Robin good? I have seen them on my way to my Uncles but never stopped.

The kids seem to like it, and they go more than I do. That was my second visit - one her and one in AL and both were good. You should give it a try. I always like to try new places just to see for myself.

We didn't think you made it. We thought it was sweet that you shared it, though. I am anxious to see Jill's masterpiece.

Window shopping is fun. Much safer than the real thing. There will be lots of shopping this trip. Some things were repeats and some things were new.

Yeah, the people on either side of me were both agitated about their situations. I was happy to be there for my birthday card. The girl was glad she got the luck of the draw that time!

*******************************

Okay, that's all my Dising for now. I have to be at a Nemo party in 6 and a half hours, so I have to get started. Have a wonderful Saturday, everyone! We will be under the sea, :fish: and we'll sea you later with pictures!

Okay, how many of you, other than Jill, are rolling your eyes at my corniness?:rolleyes1
You should know by now that I can't pass up opportunities like that. I think like a third-grader, and now that I teach second, I'm going to get worse! ;)

Have a great one!!!

Be careful driving. Please tell Brooklynn "Happy Birthday" from all of her family on the Disboards.

Can't wait for the Nemo pictures. That is our favorite Disney movie. I wanted to do Nemo for DD when she turned 3, but she wanted Ariel. So I still got to do an under the sea theme. I will have to find the picture of the cake my mom made. It was awesome! You gotta love doing a little kids party!

BTW, I WANT THAT MUG!!!! When we were there last year, I looked everywhere for a MK mug that I liked and couldn't find one! Do you remember the shop you bought that in?

OK. I hope you don't mind me posting a few pictures here to brag on my mother! She made this Ariel cake for DD's 3rd birthday. I think she is very talented and I wish she would use her talent more often.

I helped out with the Cinderella cake for DD's 4th birthday. That thing took us all day to make but it was worth it when she saw it. I just hated to see it cut!

She had several people at the party ask her to make them a cake after seeing the castle cake and she just said, "No, I really don't know how to do much." Yeah right! When it came to DD's 5th birthday party this year, I had to do it on my own, so she got Tinkerbell cupcakes!:lmao: They were probably dissapointing! But the Disney Poly Pocket stuff is great for cake decorating. It is just the right size. We used those on both of these cakes.

I know your Nemo party will be great. You guys always plan great parties. I still say you should quit teaching and become a party planner! Just a thought!;) Have a great time!

That castle cake is AWESOME!!!!

I think you are BOTH talented :worship: Those cakes are amazing!

MeMom and Jill, I hope the party goes well -- I love your Disney-themed parties.

Beautiful cakes! And cute pics of the girls!

Quick question Jill, the annual pass-saver thing that MeMom was talking about, how often do they come? And is the discount substantial? Patrick and I are probably going to get AP's when we go in October b/c of our upcoming trips and I was wondering if it would be worth it for one of us to get it then and for the other to wait?

Glad to hear that the doctor is going to fix you up and you will be recovering so quickly! :thumbsup2

Hope your sickness this week has let go of you so you enjoyed the nemo party today :cheer2:

Thanks for the shopping pics. I have a small list of to-look-for item for some of my fellow disers with an upcoming trip. I may have to add that Walt and Mickey purse :rolleyes1

The party is over and was a great success!

I got this Nemo banner on clearance at Party City for $1.

Nemo balloons that we found on clearance last night. I was going to just get plain orange, blue and green ones and there was a 5 balloon bouquet for only $7. The other two were on the mailbox.

The jellyfish forest I created with MeMom's assistance.

Brooklynn played on her water slide while we finished up all the last minute things.

MeMom sat with Bella on the swing for a few minutes before all the children started arriving.

Brooklynn's friends starting arriving around 10:15. They had a blast playing on the water slide.

Some of the little girls decided to take a rest at the picnic table and color some Nemo pictures I had laid out.

Bella watched the festivities from her excersaucer.

After about an hour and a half of fun we all came in to eat.

The table and food (We had mini corn dogs, chicken nuggets, pizza rolls, tater tots, and chips)

Everyone sat on a picnic blanket in the living room.

Then it was time for cake!

IMG_0052.jpg

Brooklynn hid her face as we sang "Happy Birthday".

IMG_0058.jpg

Some of her friends helped her blow out the candles.

Then it was time to open presents

Most of her friends left, but two of my coworkers and their little girls stayed and played dress up.

Right now MeMom is on her way home, Bella is in her swing fussing, John and Trent are playing the Wii, and Brooklynn is coloring and eating chips. We will all be in bed early tonight!

What a cute party. :thumbsup2 on the cake, Jill. You did a great job! And I love the jellyfish forest. Great idea! I bet you all are tuckered out.

Jill, you did a fantastic job on the party, love, love, love, all of the Nemo goodies you found!
The cake was beeeeutiful! It looked like Brooklynn and her friends had a blast.:goodvibes

It was great to see MeMom in a couple of pictures too, how in the world did you get her to sit still for that? Well, maybe it was her knee that was keeping her still.....
Bella looked very excited to be playing in that exersaucer!
