Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

IMG_1980.jpg

Look at my babies! Brooklynn knows exactly what is going on, and Bella doesn't have a clue. She'll learn very quickly about posing for that little black box that hangs from MeMom's neck!

VERY CUTE!!! :thumbsup2

Is that one of the strollers you got in a swap?? I'm still hoping to borrow one from a friend in Dec. No one has any doubles open in the swaps :sad2:

Hope you are good!!! :upsidedow

Jill ended up with two strollers, because she wasn't sure which would be best. One was side by side and the other was one in front of the other. She can give you pros and cons of each when she gets caught up form party week.

Hi memom Hope all is well. I leave for a day and the TR party starts with out me? All caught up.popcorn:: And just when I thought Brooklyn and Bella couldn't get any cuter with the 'I'm going to disney world' shirts. BAM (Emeril) they have the sissy shirts. Jill could really open a business. I'm talking millionss:rotfl2:. Looks like Brooklyn had a great bday. Red robin looks fun. Wish they had one around here. But then again it's one of those places. Disgusted Smilie. Amy's bday was a few days before Brooklyn's. Heres some pictures. Hope you don't mind my posting pictures on your TR.

See, our sweet little ones grow up into such beautiful young people.

If Jill makes millions, do you think she would let me quit teaching, and we could buy DVC? ;)

Loved the parade pics, especially seeing the smiley little girl faces :goodvibes

The parade made Brooklynn smile. She loves to wave to her friends. Bella had been asleep and probably wondered where in the world she was and what this was all about. It'll be interesting to see how much more reactive she is when we go in October.

Good Morning!
I hope you are all having a great day. Reading all of your comments about your little ones starting school and growing up has made me feel somewhat emotional. I really miss those days at home just hanging out with my kids. Now my DS and DD have this plan and that plan and all to often it doesn't include us...esp my DS it is about his friends.
My DS is in the 10th grade this year and I can hardly stand the thought that I only have a couple of more years with him here at home. He is dealing with his first real girlfriend issues and it is sooo hard. I want to ask a million questions and fix it for him but I can't. My mom has always said to me, :little kids, little problems...big kids, big problems". She is right. Also this my DD's last year of elementary school....when I think of her going to middle school I go :crazy2: in my head and want to . I know these are all little things that help us let go and help them become independent...it just happens so fast!

I love your parade pictures. They are really nice!:thumbsup2 What was the temp when you were down there? I can tell it was real warm because Brooklynn's face looks red. Love the picture of them together...so sweet.

Memom, I do hope you are feeling better today! here is some magical pixie dust for a speedy recovery.pixiedust:

As always, I can't wait to read more...popcorn::
TTFN, Darlene

I hope you feel better for the party on the weekend..

I just think Bella's little hat is so cute on her.
You picked the cuttest disigns for thier tees, I just love the special touch they bring to the pics! Very sweet.

Lexi was so excitted to see Abu in the parade.....she really enjoyed seeing the new "Celebrate' changes. She said "she takes great pictures of stuff" ;)

I can't wait to see what you come up with for her 'Nemo party'. The cake should be amazing! :fish:

***********************************

Work is crazy busy at the new store. I have so much to fix/change/organize I will not get it all done this week. I've been putting in alot of extra hours. I like my staff, I think we will make a great team once we all get settled into a routine. I put a Tinkerbell magnet on my locker....and I have informed them I am obsessed with Disney....:rotfl:

We still havn't decided whether to leave Saturday instead of Sunday.
I am so behind, I havn't packed yet.
I can't wait to get there and relax by the pool and walk on the beach. (I must confess one of my first stops will be to the Disney Store outlet) :rolleyes1

MeMom, get feeling better!:flower3:

The parade shots are just so festive. It appears that Brooklyn shares your parade enthusiasm. I'm sure Bella will too.:goodvibes Those two look too, too darling in their matching Big Sissy, Little Sissy shirts and Bella's floppy sun hat.:cutie:

Good luck and have fun with the birthday bash this weekend!!:goodvibes

thank you!
And I don't see why not.
Last night at Publix I got lottery tickets because the FL LOTTERY IS.... 260,000,000$ if I win I'll take you to the GF with me and buy us both DVC.
BTW- Did you ever consider renting points they're about 7-8$ a point and you could stay in a studio with a magic kingdom view for 14 points at BLT

The parade made Brooklynn smile. She loves to wave to her friends. Bella had been asleep and probably wondered where in the world she was and what this was all about. It'll be interesting to see how much more reactive she is when we go in October.

Brooklyn sure enjoyed the parade! And I thought I took a lot of pictures. My October trip I have a goal of 1200 pictures. Bella has that what the heck is going on look on her face Eh whatever sissy likes it so guess it's not to bad look on her face .

Aw, looks like the girls (mainly Brookie) had a blast at the parade! I'm so glad she got to see Ol' Genie Boy again! :)

I love the pics of the parade. I hope it stays around for another 8 months so I can see it (but I love any parade so as long as there is one I will be happy)

I hope you get to feeling better soon! Sounds like a tough start to a new year for sure!

Everyone loves a parade! And this one looks like a good one! Bella sleeping while Jill is checking the ADRs is just precious. The "sissy" t-shirts are adorable!

Oh that is so, so cute. What a smart and brave Brooklyn to battle Capt Hook!

Hope you're feeling better, MeMom!!

I'm surprised at how many people don't watch the parades. We enjoy them. Of course, it is understandable, because parade time is also a great time for short lines. :)

We have to get one of those Photopass pictures where they make Brooklynn fighting against Capt. Hook, as she is slightly obsessed with Hook and Pan and the crocodile.

We got stuck (literally) watching that parade (I'm almost up to it in my TR so read it if you get a chance in your busy schedule :)) but I was really happy that we did! It sooo put a smile on my face and I wish that I could be one of the dancers in that parade!:cloud9:

Love the pictures of the girls watching, Bella is being so good! :cutie:

I'm sure they'd let you be a dancer. It could be a good summer job!

Bella was good the whole trip. We carted her everywhere and she just ate, slept, and hung out.

I love that story. I am determined to see that parade this year. We are usually taking a break for naps but now that Abby is a little older, I think I can swing it. It looks like such a fun parade!

Maybe if you pushed a day long enough to stay for a parade then you could just go back to the room and have an early relaxing evening in. That works well sometimes.

Memom,

I am so sorry that you are sick. I hope you feel better soon. Getting your knee fixing before Oct. sounds like a good idea to me. I hope you find the time to do that so you can get some relief.

We will be there on Halloween, but I just can't see spending that extra money. I am sure it is a great party. My brother's family may be going to it. They are night owls, and I am not. I guess we will see.

I loved all your parade pictures. Brooklynn looked like she was really hot, happy, but hot.

It'll be packed on Halloween night. You might want to go to DTD. It'll be packed, too, but there are some treats and activities, I believe, and they are free.

It was quite warm that day!

I know that I am a few days late, but I wanted to wish Brooklynn a very Happy Birthday!!:dance3::bday:

Two more days until her Nemo party! :cool1:

It is storming like crazy here right now. Turning out the lights after lunch and napping the afternoon away sounds good to me. Wonder if I could make up some kind of benefit of that and squeeze it into my lesson plan?!?!? ;)

Just wanted to stop by and let you know that I'm going to do my best to get all caught up with your TR! MeMom, I'll PM you and let you know where J ended up. We can figure out if/when we can meet in Dec.! :thumbsup2 Happy be-lated B-day to Brooklynn! Hope you feel better MeMom!

Thought I would share her callendar. :)

july31855.jpg

Have a blast at MB. Be careful tho with Hurricane Bill out there the waves will be bad as will the rip tides. Oh at one of the Tanger Outlets there is a Disnety outlet store. :)
I can't believe I just found your TR last night. Must hurry and catch up.

That sounds so cute! :goodvibes

I told you - the kid forgets nothing! In her nervousness as Hook approached, her quick thinking saved her!

Love the parade pictures. We missed it this year because we were there during the HEAT WAVE and had to take a break that afternoon. It was just SO hot out. We took the monorail over to the Polynesian for a late CS lunch and a little browsing through the gift shops. Had to forego the parade, but it was just what we needed that day.

Keep the pictures coming!

The inside of a very cool Polynesian would be much more tempting than 100 degree heat sitting on a concrete sidewalk, no doubt. We were lucky with the weather. It was hot, but not in the high 90's like when some of you went.

Whew! Go on vacation for a week and come back to a billion pages to catch up! LOL

Looks like Brooklynn had a great 3rd birthday party. I'm sure the other parties were fun too!

MeMom: I'm glad that you finally made it to the doctor and will be having surgery. I hope you're feeling better now. Loved your classroom decorations!

OT: Hannah starts school on Tuesday. Friday is Open House and we find out who her teacher will be for 2nd grade. I just loved her 1st grade teacher. She was Teacher of the Year and it was a very well deserved honor. Today I go to the mailbox and there's a small envelope addressed to Hannah. It's from her 1st grade teacher. She wrote a note telling her she hoped she had a good summer, that she would have a good year in 2nd grade and that her 2nd grade teacher would probably love her as much as she does. She gave her some reminders on behavior and told her she was looking forward to seeing her and getting hugs. I just thought that was the sweetest thing to do. Did I mention I just    this teacher? I wish she could be Hannah's teacher every year! LOL

We stayed in Building 4 last year and really liked the location. We were on the back side so it was quiet but still close enough to go to the pool or walk to the food court/gift shop. The parade looks like lots of fun!

Jill: I can so relate to your words about the awe and wonder of raising a child. Every night before I go to bed I go in and check on Hannah and some nights as I stand there watching her sleep I just say "Thank you God for this wonderful gift". What amazes me now is how "grown up" she can be at times. There was one morning of our vacation I just wasn't feeling the love and was really regretting even having a family vacation. Hannah came in to our room and said the most compassionate words to me and I had to choke back the tears. And then she sealed the deal by saying "Mommy I'll always love you."

We were out back of Building 4, as well. We overlooked the lake and the very lonely rest of Pop. It was very quiet and just a hop, skip, and jump to the elevator which brought us right out under the Play Doh. Brooklynn thought it was cool to walk under the can lid and meet me on the other side when we went on walks.

Sounds like Hannah did have an awesome teacher! Gotta love the ones that go the extra mile.

Oh I wish I could have been there to watch that parade with you! I am so excited to see the new one! I know it's not that different but I love parades in general! And you're right Jill, they would have been the two cutest girls in the Magic Kingdom! :)

MeMom, I hope your feeling better! Dr.Brooklyn sounds like she gets right to the point during her visits! But....maybe you should get a second opinion! :)

Maybe one day we'll be there at the same time and a parade can be our meeting place. :)

Sometimes, in the throes of pain, it has been my opinion to take scissors and cut the knee off, too!

I love watching the parade -- even if it is at home and at my computer! :goodvibes

Jill, I love the "tick tock" story -- that is so precious that Brooklyn was doing that! Bella's initiation into the Magic Kingdom seems to be going very well!

Well, we're going to go shopping at home on your computer in a little bit. Up for that?

Hello!! I just found and began reading your TR. Just wanted to quickly comment on how adorable your kids are. I'm looking forward to hearing how it went with a 4 month old, since I'll be taking a 3 month old in March.

:surfweb:

So glad to have another new reader along! The family grows!

Bella was pretty much easy as pie to have along. Just had to make stops for feeding and changing, but she just went with the flow.

The parade looked like so much fun! Brooklynn's reaction to the characters were great! Poor Jill and her burnt bottom. Maybe they need to make some sort of sit upon for Disney!

MeMom, how many do you have in your class now? If you have already given us numbers I must have missed the update.
Have you scheduled that surgery? Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to recover! So I'm thinking maybe next week. We want you have an awesome time in October!

How are you feeling today?

Jill being a supposed Disney expert could have thought to bring along something to sit her aforementioned behind upon, don't you think?

I have 23, but 20 is the cap. He told us in our grade level meeting today that they're probably going to dissolve a first grade and bring a teacher up.

Doctor visit tomorrow. I'll have more info then. I'm going to tell him I want to have a rockin' awesome time in Disney World in eight weeks and let him go from there. :cool1:

Jill, the girls shirts turned out so good!!!!!!!!

MeMom..the parade pictures are just awesome!!!!!!! I can see why little ones would be scared of Abu!! :lmao: He is cute though, just bigger than life!! haha

They had a Crystal Palace logo on them, too, which was cool. Jill did a great job on the girls' shirts!

He is cute. Just from a little further back!

So enjoyed the update! Great parade pics!!! And the girls I'm a big sissy and lil sissy shirts are priceless!!!

And when she had another one, maybe one will say Middle Sissy!

Or Little Brudder.:goodvibes

Doesn't matter to me. :rotfl:

TTFN, Darlene

All normal steps for the kids and all normal emotions for you, CM!

It was hot, but not like it had been a few weeks before when the whole country was a thousand degrees. It was hot during the middle of the day, but the heat doesn't stand out as a big memory, so I guess we avoided it for the most part.

I'm driving the boys nuts with my coughing, but after 128 DayQuil, I think it's subsiding. Just kidding. It was nowhere near 128, but a bunch. ;)

I hope you feel better for the party on the weekend..

I'll be great by Saturday, I'm sure.

I bet you are crazy busy. I also bet it's making the days until vacation fly by, huh?

Tell them whenever they want to give the boss a gift, they won't have to think hard Disney Dollars will do!

I know you'll enjoy your Disney Store visit. I hope your whole trip is awesome! I know it is well-deserved!

Feel better MeMom!!! :flower3:

Thanks. I hope to soon!

Wasn't Bella's big old hat cute on her little tiny head? I took so many pictures of that little girl!

Jill has been working feverishly to get things ready. Somehow, though, I'm the one who ended up having a fever! :rotfl:

Thoughts and prayers at the Doctor's visit, may it go well.

I'll fill you in tomorrow night. Thanks for the well wishes. Maybe it will be a little bit of nothing.

Brooklyn sure enjoyed the parade! And I thought I took a lot of pictures. My October trip I have a goal of 1200 pictures. Bella has that what the heck is going on look on her face Eh whatever sissy likes it so guess it's not to bad look on her face .

Bella just looks at everyone like they're crazy sometime, and she's kinda right!

That's interesting that you have a number in mind on your pictures. I just snap. I don't count. A lot of those 5100 will bw repeats so that I can pick the best one, so it will be narrowed down.

Aw, looks like the girls (mainly Brookie) had a blast at the parade! I'm so glad she got to see Ol' Genie Boy again! :)

Yes, good old Genie Boy always brings a smile!

I love the pics of the parade. I hope it stays around for another 8 months so I can see it (but I love any parade so as long as there is one I will be happy)

I hope you get to feeling better soon! Sounds like a tough start to a new year for sure!

I would imagine it will be there for quite some time.

It hasn't been such a great start, but I'll be more appreciative of a better start next year, right? :)

Got your PM, and we will work it out. Hope to see J in October and you guys in December.

Have a blast at MB. Be careful tho with Hurricane Bill out there the waves will be bad as will the rip tides. Oh at one of the Tanger Outlets there is a Disnety outlet store. :)
I can't believe I just found your TR last night. Must hurry and catch up.

I second the having a blast! I hope the weather is nice to you!

Don't get in a hurry with the reading, 'cuz we don't get in a hurry with the writing.

Just so no one thinks MeMom has lost her shopping skills, there was a tiny bit of shopping done at Everything Pop before we left to go Magic Kingdom. At the kiddie pool, there was one beach ball and several kiddies, so I went in and got another beach ball and a couple of plastic boats so that they all could play together with different things. They had a blast with the less than ten dollar purchase.

I also snapped these two pictures at some point before we boarded the bus for Magic Kingdom.

IMG_0057.jpg

See what they do to Mickey? He earns them all this money and they go and stuff him in little glass balls and drown him!!!

A couple of autograph books that were at the counter.

IMG_0058.jpg

Back to Magic Kingdom: Brooklynn decided she was interested in these little things.

IMG_0123.jpg

Not inexpensive are they and rather large and bulky, but on a hot summer day, oh so inviting!

A couple of shirts from the Fire Engine Store.

IMG_0124.jpg

Into The Emporium, where one could shop for a while, if one so chose.

IMG_0125.jpg

We didn't shop right there right then, however.
We had a feeling we would walk this way again.

We walked on toward the castle, where I said, "Family whom I am following, would you like your picture made in front of the castle?"

Someone said yes. Probably Jill.

IMG_0126.jpg

Brooklynn needed some of her Disney Princess shades here.

IMG_0127.jpg

And then I took a castle picture without the family.

IMG_0129.jpg

Knowing that Peter Pan would have a huge line, we stupidly walked over to see if it had a long line.

IMG_0131.jpg

It did.
Duh.

So we consoled ourselves with some shopping.

IMG_0132.jpg

IMG_0133.jpg

IMG_0134.jpg

IMG_0135.jpg

Does anyone know who might like this shirt?

IMG_0136.jpg

IMG_0137.jpg

I looked at and almost bought this purse a few times, but never did. I'm wanting something more subtle in its Disneyness, but I still think it's cool.

IMG_0138.jpg

Later in the trip, I purchased one of these for me and one for Jill. I have mine filled with writing utensils on my desk at school. It brings me much happiness. I think Jill is using hers the same way, but I'm not positive.

IMG_0139.jpg

Back through the castle toward our eating place,

IMG_0140.jpg

which was not there.

Keep walking.

You know I think the mosaics are cool and try to get pictures of them most every trip.

IMG_0141.jpg

IMG_0142.jpg

And the little details that often go unnoticed by non-Disers.

IMG_0143.jpg

This is where we were eating.

IMG_0144.jpg

And there is some good eating found here, too! :thumbsup2

Hi MeMom,
Love your latest udpate and all the pics!!!! Thanks for taking us shopping with you!!!!:goodvibes Love the mug you bought, too cute!! And what a great way to use it every day!!! The pics you took of the castle and the family (lol!) you were following came out cute, and yes, Brooklynn could have used some shades!! :3dglasses Can't wait to see/hear more!!!:surfweb:

Hope you're feeling okay!!!

Well, we're going to go shopping at home on your computer in a little bit. Up for that?

You know I am!!! I have already realized that I really like the mug with all the characters on Main Street -- where did you find yours? I think that would make a great addition to my Disney coffee mug collection.

I hope you feel better soon, MeMom!

Jill, I can't wait to see the pictures of Brooklyn's cake!

Cute family pics in front of the castle!! :cloud9:

Does anyone know who might like this shirt?

Jill ended up with two strollers, because she wasn't sure which would be best. One was side by side and the other was one in front of the other. She can give you pros and cons of each when she gets caught up form party week.

Great....thanks!! :thumbsup2

I hope you getting to feeling better very soon!! :goodvibes

long lost georgia friend checking in here.

sorry i've been gone. my boss is out on maternity leave and i'm covering for her and it's been CRAZY! i didn't have time to read everything but i did find the updates.

anyway, congrats on the october trip! can't wait to hear all about it.

memom - so glad you went to the doctor about your knee. glad to hear it's nothing really really serious. keep us updated on it!

and miss brooklynn, i'm sooooooooooo sorry i missed your big day! loved the birthday pics....looks like a fun time!

happy belated birthday from me!!!!!!

disneyprincessbirthdayglitter.gif

such cute pictures on the airplane of bella and brooklynn. :goodvibes and i love bella's big floppy hat. i'm sure it was great for keeping the florida summer sun out of her little eyes....and cute to boot!

such a great picture! :thumbsup2

so cool that both my favorite disney movies EVER are on the same float now! :goodvibes

I have to interject a humorous story about this parade. Brooklynn loves to talk about the Crocodile and Captain Hook. Before the trip she said she didn't want to see "that old mean Captain Hook." I told her to remember that if she did she could just pretend like she was the crocodile and say "tick tock tick tock" and he would leave her alone. Well when he came out in the parade she started muttering under her breath "tick tock tick tock." It was adorable because her eyes never left the parade and what was going on.

this is sooooooooooo cute!!!!!! from now on whenever i'm in court and i see an attorney i don't like i'm going to start saying, "tick tock tick tock" very quietly under my breath. :lmao:
