Brooklynn looks so happy just strolling around in her nightgown!
I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my D23 magazine, thanks for the reminder...
You'll get the one with The Princess and the Frog, I bet. I bought it, but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I should have time to do that now, since I still have four free days left before school again.
I wish I could still get away with strolling around the resort in my pajamas, but I might scare people!
Wouldn't that be nice?
You wouldn't scare anybody. You're not much bigger than Brooklynn anyway.
Wouldn't a DISmeet pajama breakfast be fun?
Sitting out by the Hippy Dippy Pool
with Dis friends
in 'jamas
eating Mickey waffles
under a blue sky
and swaying palm leaves?
Yep, sounds good to me!

That would be a lot of fun!!!
'Cept all you rich folks are gonna wanna be sitting out by Stormalong Bay, right?

That sounds good, too. We'll have to work something out.
Brooklynn is so cute going to get breakfast in her nightie! Love all the pin pictures!
I'm becoming more and more interested in the pins. They are nice souvenirs - not too expensive, easy for travel, and a good memory of something special. I'm looking forward to getting one for Christmas and New Year's when we go next month.
speaking of play-doh...i was watching Rachael Ray and they had a travel segment about traveling with kids...and just so you know...if you are flying...you cannot bring play-doh on the plane with you...apparently it has some same chemicals that is in bombs (or something bad like that) was something I didn;t know but then again i would think play doh on a plane would be messy!!
That's good to know. I doubt Jill would ever dream of letting Brooklynn have it on a plane, but just in case, that is interesting to note. She usually has her DVD player and books to satisfy her. Most of the time, she falls asleep anyway. Thanks for sharing that information, since we have so many people who travel with kids in our group.
Like a kid will make a bomb or any one for that mater out of playdough
You never know. Airport security is a hassle, but it's just for the safety of everyone on the plane. I'm glad someone is going the extra mile to look out for the safety of my family. I hope nothing ever gets so lax that we have another 9-11.
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that you have a great day.
To you and yours, too. Last year at this time, we were in Disney World. This year, we've already done all of our celebrating and the house will be quiet. Drew left last night to go with friends, and Trent will visit with friends today. I'll watch the parade and enjoy some Christmas shows. The guys will be in and out, so I'm going to make a big chicken pot pie just for something simple. We can eat off of that today and tomorrow.
I've entertained the idea of going out to Opry Mills tonight. They open at midnight, and I bet it won't be nearly as crowded then as it will be at 5 a.m. tomorrow. I thought I'd see if
Disney Store has any out of this world bargains. I know I won't really do it, but I thought about it.
******************************
From our family to all of you, we wish you a very beautiful Thanksgiving Day and weekend! We pray for safe travel and wonderful times for all of you. It's so nice that we set aside a special day focused on being grateful for the good things in our lives. We probably don't stop to be thankful enough when we are coming and going every day.
I'm thankful for:
-God being there for me through thick and thin, even when I forget to acknowledge that He is there
-my family; a gift that I do not deserve, but am so, so thankful for; I won't even begin to elaborate on them, because I couldn't do it justice; I am thankful that they are happy and healthy and have jobs and purpose in life; I am thankful for my two little baby girls that bring smiles, joy, and happiness every day, whether I am with them or just seeing them in pictures and thinking of what they are doing during their day
-extended family and friends; cousins, teacher friends, friends I made through the kids' school, and a friend I met as a teenager who is still a friend 30+ years later, 'handymen' friends who can fix my car, put up gutters, repair appliances, install doors, and fix plumbing; it is so very nice to have trustworthy friends who are always willing to take care of these things for me
-my church and church camp; so many great memories of the past and more good times to come
-a job; I don't always like it, because our system gets ever more ridiculous with testing and demands, but I muddle through the best I can and am glad to have a paycheck
-my home; falling apart and in need of a new roof and floors, but in between, it keeps us warm and dry, and it is filled with beautiful memories
-all things Disney, because they add much happiness to my life; this includes Disney trips, Disney 'stuff', and Disney friends!
-the little things; for every time I go to my car and there is no flat tire and every day nothing breaks down and every day we don't have some negative report at school; the bad things that happen infrequently help us be grateful for the normal days when most everything really does go pretty well
My thoughts go out this morning for those who will wake up hungry or cold due to job loss. I pray that people around them that have enough will share with them until they get their lives stable again.
My thoughts go out out to the homeless and those in prison. I pray that they will humble themselves and truly face the issues that got them where they are, and that they will let God work through them to lift them up to better times ahead.
My thoughts go out to those who are serving in military operations far away from home. I know they miss their families and their families miss them. Friends at church have a son who will be leaving in January for his second trip to Iraq. He is their only child. He will be leaving a wife, son, and daughter behind for one year.
My thoughts go out to those who hurt physically, mentally, and emotionally. I just wish I could snap my fingers and make them all feel better, but we know that is impossible. We only can pray for peace, comfort, and healing for them.
We have so many normal days and good days and great days, and we have very few bad days. I hope we can all be thankful for that today. We really do live good lives!
I hope you all have a day filled with good food, family, friends, and fun!
