Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

That darn "Beans in Your Ears" song was stuck in my head last night and was still playing when I woke up this morning!

Already have :thumbsup2....have most all of my toiletries packed, my juice plus and prenatals :goodvibes and other small items ....now just waiting on the weather to see what clothes I will be needing. :cool2:

13 more sleeps!! Can't believe it!!!

Yayyyy Erica! I haven't emailed you back yet, so sorry but we're getting so close!! :woohoo:

**************************

Since Jill will be with John's family next weekend, we're doing Thanksgiving here today. I don't mind at all not having 'the day'. We got to have the Disney Thanksgiving last year, and that was cool. They're not usually here on Thanksgiving Day anyway, because I like to just be flexible and work around when it works for everyone and John's mom is more particular about the actual days. She is more proper - set it out on a fancy table and do it on 'the day', and I am more, let's get together when it works for everyone and we'll be eating off of paper plates. Even though they will be coming back and spending time here during Thanksgiving weekend, Jill asked if we could just do it this weekend so they'd have more time to hang out. That works for me. :)

So, I am about to go start on a massive feast, Liberty Tree Tavern style. We'll share it with you guys later today. We hope you all have a beautiful autumn Sunday, too!

I agree with you MeMom, it shouldnt really matter what day you celebrate Thanksgiving on. I know all that matters to you is getting to spend time with your family and thats how it should be  Enjoy your Liberty Tree Tavern style Thanksgiving feast! I hope you all enjoy :)

hey memom what are u and jill doing for thanksgiving I might take the bus or fly and see you guys just to have a homemad thanks giving vrs a dennys one;)

I love the Disney store pictures. Sounds like you're having a great weekend.
Today is Emily's birthday so we are headed to the mall. Of course we'll be stopping at the Disney store. The one at the mall we're going to is a warehouse with things from the parks on clearance. And then the Rainforest cafe for dinner.
Have a good day!

tell emily I said happy b-day

I hope that you are enjoying your early Thanksgiving dinner. I agree with the paper plates. Nothing fancy for my family either. I would rather save my money for more important things, such as a trip to Disney. For the first time in a long time, we don't have a trip planned. I don't know how to act. So thank you again for the awesome trip reports where I can pretend that I am there.

Happy Turkey Diner Day!

Hope it's all Yummy!
:goodvibes

Lexi wants to say "thanks for the pictures!" :thanks:

She wants to know if your thanksgiving Pooh is a Build a Bear? pooh:

I am so tempted to go to the Disney Store next weekend....just a short 3hr drive....quite do able.....I can go to Target too! ;)

mine is a 4 hr bus ride give or take so I will have to go to mine some friday just to ohh and aww

He probably will say that. ;)

Last week, I had a student come in on Tuesday and tell me she would be out on Friday. I asked her why. She said because she was sick. Not sure where they were going for the weekend, and truly I couldn't care less, but it was just funny to hear her say that three days in advance.

As teachers, we hear all kinds of things. Just like you do in court, I imagine.
Did I ever tell you about my favorite two notes from parents? If I didn't, let me know, and I'll tell you about them later. I've gotta get going on this school day.

LOL!! my excuse for not being at work on friday was that i did not have a babysitter but really DH and spent a long weekend in Gatlinburg. In my defense I did have the time off preapproved i just not have any time available so I told them i did not have a babysitter so they would let me have the day off and i did make it up as I went into work last sunday so i still had my hours in (they are really family friendly as if you miss time you can make it up anytime during the workweek!) I just didn;t think they would approve my time off if i told them i was going on vacation but they probably would have anyways.

Speaking of TN...is all of TN in the mountains?? our cabin was up some crazy mountain that was real scary getting up?? I was really glad to get home to my flat land and of course Caleb who was spending the weekend with my parents!

edited to add: we were at the disney store outlet on friday afternoon in Pigeon Forge and I never knew there was an actual disney outlet store but it was more like a real disney outlet store anyways. Didn't find much but i did get matching t shirts for Caleb and my nephew for Disney for $5 each! I wanted one with mickey and donald but they didn;t have them small enough for Caleb so I ended up getting the toy story toy soldier one! still cute but I am looking online for the one i wanted.

Leave it to Shocker to track down the Beans in My Ears song. :lmao:

I was at the Disney Store yesterday and saw most of that stuff (we were at the mall for my niece's scavenger hunt), but not the Turkey Stitch (he so would have come home with me). :( I did buy the Christmas CD, though, because everyone needs Mickey singing Rudulph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Pooh singing The 12 Days of Christmas.

Have a great Liberty Tree Tavern Thanksgiving meal today!!!

We were wondering about the Christmas CD. We already have two holiday ones from the parks, so we held off on that one for now. Stitch was cute. They also had some Stitch Christmas ones.

look!!!! i found the princess and the frog at disney world!

just a little joke. that's me (obviously...and i'm more of a villian than a princess) with the little tree frog erica and i found on the steps at pop on the way to the room after MNSSHP last year. he peed on me. so he wasn't an especially charming frog.

well, then, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!! i'm with you - it doesn't matter when you do it...as long as you get to spend time with those that you love! hope you guys have a good day. oh, and thanks again for the toys for margot....even though i really still want to pay you!!!

I think the Prince Frog will be much more charming. I am looking forward to seeing the movie.

We did have a good day. Jill and John did some shopping, as they always do when they have a chance to have a babysitter. Since they are in Huntsville with no family, they don't get to just go out like that. They'd have to find a sitter and pay $$ or trade out with someone else. It's just so easy for them here to be able to go out, and I am always glad to have the time with the girls. Brooklynn and I read some books and entertained that little ever-smiling Bella. The guys played video games and watched football. Jill and I and the girls just hung out some, too.

Have fun cooking for your family today, MeMom! Is Brooklynn helping?
Can't wait for the report!

I tell ya, you cook and bake for hours and it is gobbled up in twenty minutes! It was good. I had a roast and carrots, smoked turkey, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, dressing, green beans, peas, corn, fried apples, cranberry sauce, bread, strawberry cake, pecan pie and apple crumb pie (both store-bought but very good), and then that pumpkin dessert that I referred to earlier. We ate, and then everyone had leftovers later in the day. I still have plenty for tomorrow night, too, so no cooking tomorrow starts my week off easier.

Enjoy your meal! I love Thanksgiving dinner!

We did. :)

That darn "Beans in Your Ears" song was stuck in my head last night and was still playing when I woke up this morning!

See what we get for hanging around on the DIS? Did Baylor listen to it? Jill knew it, because of course I had told the kids about it when they were younger. Beans in Your Ears should be one of the songs listed on the huge Pop Century juke box, dontcha think? :thumbsup2

YUM! What time should I be there for Thanksgiving dinner?

We have enough leftovers to last another couple of days. If you can be here tomorrow night, you can help yourself. :)

Yayyyy Erica! I haven't emailed you back yet, so sorry but we're getting so close!! :woohoo:

It was a good meal with good people. We discussed going to Disney World again next Thanksgiving. I'll have to see what my school calendar looks like.

Happy un-Thanksgiving to you!! Hope you enjoy! Looking forward to seeing pictures later! :goodvibes

We took a very few. I'll share them in a little bit. I was busy doing things and everyone gobbled things up pretty fast.

hey memom what are u and jill doing for thanksgiving I might take the bus or fly and see you guys just to have a homemad thanks giving vrs a dennys one;)

Jill will be in Kentucky. The guys will probably be hanging out with friends, and I will be enjoying the peace and quiet of my empty house.

I love the Disney store pictures. Sounds like you're having a great weekend.

I hope she had a great birthday! Rainforest is a fun place to eat. What did you find at the Disney Store. We had one of those outlet things here for a short while.

We ate on some huge paper plates with pictures of a turkey - two bucks at Walmart, and we were all perfectly happy with that. John's mom is the one that does all the fancy stuff, so they get their fill of that with her. The girls will know a fancy Thanksgiving and a down-home one, so that's good for them.

I am fighting off a March trip, but then my friend, Kay, said she wouldn't be opposed to a very short, like two nights, March trip just to get away. That's all it took for me to be on the SW site looking at flight prices. Who knows? I'd be happy with two nights!

Happy Turkey Diner Day!

Hope it's all Yummy!

The Pooh is just a regular Pooh, but his clothes are from Build-a-Bear.

You could make a day of it to see some Christmas things Disney and otherwise. :)

mine is a 4 hr bus ride give or take so I will have to go to mine some friday just to ohh and aww

Have fun looking at all the neat Disney things.

#1 was when I was teaching kindergarten many, many years ago. A little boy brought in an absence note which read something like this:

'Shawn' was absent yesterday because he had to go to the doctor. The doctor found a bean in his ear. I guess it was there from when you all planted beans a couple of weeks ago.

#2 was from a 3rd grade parent concerning her son's headaches. It went something like this.

'Chris' got a haircut yesterday. I think that is what was causing his headaches. The doctor said he may still have headaches until his hair feels lighter.

Those are some crazy notes !

Jill's bunch got here last night around nine. Bella's bottom teeth are definitely through more than they were when I saw her last. (It has been three weeks. I miss them so much when I don't see them for that long.) Brooklynn was wearing a lime green Disney World 2009 shirt. Her karate class had been cancelled because the teacher had been in a wreck, so she was telling me about that. I was glad to get to spend a few minutes with them before it was time for bed for everyone. It was funny watching Bella do some version of the breast stroke across the kitchen floor. It was both arms forward and pull, over and over. She looked cute and crazy. :)

Bella's Swimming !!!!! Its great that she is getting around. Look out, it is the little ones that are the fastest.

Happy Thanksgiving Memon and Family! Glad you could all get together. Does not matter when you get together, only as long as you get together.

Oh my goodness! WHEW!!!! I went to Mexico for a week and it took me that long to read/catch up on your summer TR! Too much to comment on and remember to comment on. I should've taken notes. Glad to be back to my DIS family.

I thought of this story when I saw an article entitled " Hair causes headaches":rotfl:
Glad that you got to enjoy Thanksgiving with the family. We will be having ours the Saturday after since I have to work Thursday. Then Sunday we are heading back to see Mickey and the gang.

The note about the hair was a little strange...
as was the mother. ;)

Figured as much

Hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving!!! :goodvibes

I am so tempted to go to the Disney Store next weekend....just a short 3hr drive....quite do able.....I can go to Target too! ;)

Even having the Disney store at Opry Mills I don't go a lot.....but I would DIE if I had to drive 3 hrs to get to a Target :scared1:!!!!!

Speaking of TN...is all of TN in the mountains?? our cabin was up some crazy mountain that was real scary getting up?? I was really glad to get home to my flat land and of course Caleb who was spending the weekend with my parents!

Actually no....most of East TN is the mts. Middle TN is quite hilly and very pretty. And then towards west TN it gets very flat....at least towards Memphis. I assume north west TN is pretty flat too.

Having the 'scary' drive  up to the cabin usually means you had a great view! Hope you had a wonderful trip!! We were there a couple of weeks ago and the colors were just gorgeous!!

I'm glad you got to have a nice weekend get-away. Like Erica said, East Tennessee has the mountains. It's down to just hills where we are.

I hope you find the shirts you want for Caleb's first trip. Have you checked the DISigns board? They have a lot of cool stuff, and it can be made to your specifications.

Those are some crazy notes !

Bella's Swimming !!!!! Its great that she is getting around. Look out, it is the little ones that are the fastest.

Yep, if you put her in the water, she would be racing across the pool!

As long as I get them every once in a while on the actual holiday, I'm good. I defer to John's mom, because 'the day' is so much more important to her.

Oh my goodness! WHEW!!!! I went to Mexico for a week and it took me that long to read/catch up on your summer TR! Too much to comment on and remember to comment on. I should've taken notes. Glad to be back to my DIS family.

Tell us about Mexico! :cool1:

Glad to have you back with your DIS family. Just in time for the holidays, too.

I have to go out to Opry Mills about once a month just to walk around and to see what is new at the Disney Store. Most times, I buy nothing, but I like to look. I also love the smells of that food court, walking through Apple Barn, browsing Barnes & Noble, and looking at the kids' clothing stores. It's just a nice way to kill a couple of hours, and it gives me a chance to walk a little.

I wish Dollywood was going to be open in March, because my spring break issue would be completely solved.

The first thing I had to do was catch up on your trip report. I love all the updates. The Cape May breakfast looks so yummy. We had a dinner reservation there, but had to cancel it. I may try the breakfast next time. The opening Epcot pictures look like it was a great way to start your birthday. I know it had to be so special for you to be there with all your family.

Our trip was great with a few bumps. Abby had a fever at Epcot our first day there, so I took her to the Minute Clinic at CVS - she had an ear infection. She was feeling better by that night, thank goodness. We didn't get much time in Epcot, but that is OK - I was just happy she was feeling better so fast (thanks to the miracle pain reliever eardrops). The rest of the week everyone else with us got some sort of cold or sinus issues (4 adults, 3 kids). Luckily, it didn't affect any of thier trips too much. I can't believe I stayed healthy. All the food was excellent. Our favorite was probably the Tusker House Character Breakfast. Abby got to be tranformed into Tiana at BBB, and then got to meet her later that day - I think that was one of her highlight. We did some new things this year, which were very special. I finally got to see Wishes with my sweet princess. It was beyond perfect. Abby didn't want to try Barnstormer, but went on Dinasaur (go figure) and Splash Mountain. I think we have another year or so before she likes the thrill rides, but that's OK. I told her she didn't have to do anything she didn't want to do. We got rained out of MVMCP, but got rain checks for the next party and that one turned out fabulous, but it made for a much busier week (it was supposed to be our relax night). I can't believe how fast the week goes, but the time with my little family was priceless. I keep on telling Abby that the next trip we will have a prince or princess (find out tomorrow) with us, so it was extra special spending quality time with her.

I thought of you when I was in the shops I got to go into (I remember a lot of stuff from your souvenir pictures). It was fun to find some of the same things.

Looking forward to hearing about your Thankgiving with your family.

Well, the news for a trip has changed. :banana I got a Pin Code in the mail and was bummed because we weren't going to be able to use it. Plus DH is burned out on going to Disney:scared1:. Well, Dh calls me over to the computer last night to tell me that he has booked us a trip to Universal and Sea World for June. Not Disney but being close is ok. We have 3 days of non-expiring tickets left, so maybe I can sneak in one day. We won't be going to the parks everyday and we will have a lot of down time, so I am making ADR's at the Disney resorts to get my fix.

I'm glad Abby got better quickly.

I know it was much more fun to see the stuff in person than in pictures. :thumbsup2

Seeing Wishes with your baby girl has to be a memory you will treasure forever. :lovestruc

I'm so excited about finding out what you are having tomorrow. Please don't forget us when you are telling everyone the big news! Give us the heads up sometime when you go out to Opry Mills to shop for your new little one and maybe we can meet you out there for a minute.

Getting ADR's at the resorts will be a great way to get your Disney fix, and maybe you could go to DTD or walk around the Boardwalk for a little more magic. :)
