Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

Brooklynn looks so grown up sitting in her seat on Soarin! It's hard believe she was the little peanut we saw a couple of years ago and is now ready for the "big people" rides!

That breakfast looks wonderful! I love seeing both the big kids and the little kids getting into the fun of the day.

MeMom just got caught up on your report.Your family is beautiful and the girls are precious. I had a really long weekend. I had fun but it was a very different trip. As you know I have this bum knee and to top it off I came home with a 2 broken toes. lol I thought about doing a trip report titled "How to do as little as possible on your WDW vacation!" Between my bum knee, my bestfriend wantng to sleep until 9 and a 2 yr old this title sums up my trip.
I wanted to share a few things with you. First we arrived Sat. 11/7 and we headed to the MK I thought of Brooklynn leading the way when Avery took off like she knew where she was going.
Disney2009220-1.jpg

We stayed at your home away from home.
Disney2009036.jpg

We ended up in the 60's building. Just right for two 45 yr old women born in 1964.
Disney2009030.jpg

This was the view from our room.
Disney2009020.jpg

I wasn't very good at taking food pics, but I remembered to take this one.
Disney2009160.jpg

Did you notice the Christmas cup?
Disney2009162.jpg

MK had some Christmas decorations up and Christmas music playing. It was more crowded than I expected. It wasn't July crowded more like early May crowded. I will say that I will probably never travel to Disney again with anyone that doesn't at least like theme parks again. Add to the fact that my knee was really acting up and the broken toes I was not even in the mood for pictures. (By the way who else besides me can be standing on a platform all alone and have a kid about 10 yrs old run up and jump and land right on your foot. I had on tennis shoes and so did he, but they are broke and it was a long walk from the monorail station to the POP bus stop. Then from the POP bus stop to the room.)
I was ready to be home and plan on going back next year with our family. I think I may have to finally have that knee replacement early 2010. Until I do I won't be able to handle all that walking for a week.
Sorry I wrote a book but I don't know if I'll get to a trip report and I wanted to tell you how things went.
By the way doesn't the driver on the Safari usually stop or at least slow down so you can take pictures? Ours just keep on trucking so I didn't get really good pictures.
Well here's a few more pics.
Space Mountain under rehab.
Disney2009049.jpg

This is how I felt most of the time.
Disney2009184.jpg

Avery loved the "big monkey".
Disney2009059.jpg

Oh and I did get to ride HM and I love the changes they made.
And just in case someone was wondering. We didn't get a bounce back offer.
Sorry again for hijacking your report.

Lol. Don't feel bad. I have the worst bad luck ever. When I was in the 7th grade during P.E. the girls were were walking around the football field while the boys were playing football. Then out of nowhere this boy runs up to me and TACKLES me and I break my wrist. :headache: Stuff like this happens to me all the time. :lmao:

I agree with Poolrat. Such a great picture of the guys with Minnie. They all have that true smile that no matter how hard you resist, it comes out. One of the many reasons why we love Disney and everything about it.

I have caught up. We had a great trip to WDW. I am enjoying reading about your birthday. So far it sounds great. I love WDW breakfast buffets. We ate at several last week. They have great strawberries and everything else as well.

That is one beautiful resort and all that food is making me drool! Love the picture of Minnie snickering at sleeping Bella and of Minnie with the guys.

Finally all caught up! I need to remember to at least check your report every other day MeMom! Otherwise I end up 12 pages behind :lmao:

love the photos

Thanks for the great pics of BC and Cape May. It makes me more excited about staying there in Sept. We ate at Cape May for breakfast for DS's bday in Dec and LOVED it too. We will be eating there in Sept. probably for breakfast since we are doing mostly signature ADRs for dinner. This way DH can stay in bed (not a morning person or big breakfast eater) and I will take DS and DD to breakfast and then we can meet him after we eat.

Love seeing the pics of your special day with your family.

Hi MeMom, love the Cape May Cafe piccies! A Disney breakfast... mmmmmmm! It was this time last year that Mum, I and my baby bean Angus went off to Disney for a week at AKL! How I wish I could be going again!!!

My Dad is joining the knee operation gang. He's my "real" Dad and he lives in Qatar or Dubai depending on his job. He called last Sat and told us about the op and had it a few days after! His knee looked like a shark had been at it! He's doing well tho and will be back playing golf soon - his only love!

How is your knee???

xxx

Hi MeMom, the Cape May Clambake does not have characters but it is very good. We had heard mixed reviews and decided to give it a try anyway and loved it! I don't think you will be disappointed.

I spotted Bella awake for one picture at least! She looks like such a teeny peanut in that high chair. :lovestruc

Cape May Cafe is officially on my list, it looks SO YUMMY!

I like seeing Bella awake in some of the pictures. That should happen even more in December. When I talked to Jill on the phone this morning, Bella was 'griping' because she had been left in the living room alone. I talked to her and could hear her little sniffling. Poor baby. So mistreated. :)

It was so yummy!

It's quiet here at work tonight so I actually took my break....

Awwww, Beach Club is my Ultimate First Choice Resort!!!! :goodvibes
So gorgeous!

The Cape May buffet looks delicious! I see alot of my favorites on there.

Bella's face is so precious! She is so happy to be there. Very cute.

It's so fun to see the guys enjoying themselves with the characters too. :thumbsup2

Who doesn't like fruit? Yummy!

I booked an ADR for diner instead, I hope I made the right choice. :)

Back to work I go.....:rolleyes1

It's pretty high on my list, too.

Most of us are big fruit eaters. Brooklynn loves fruit. She'd rather have an apple or some orange slices or 'candaloob' or watermelon than fries as a side item nearly every time.

The guys enjoyed themselves, although I can't say they would have been quite as friendly with the characters if they hadn't had all the good food.

Wow the Beach Club pictures are wonderful! Chris and I checked it out there very quickly when we were there in April and it was beautiful. Definitely on my list of resorts to stay at!

The buffet look so great! I think you just made me add Cape May to my "must do" list. There was so much food to chose from.

How cute that the characters were "making fun" of Bella! She's such a sweet little baby, never fussing and always just sleeping peacefully. :cutie:

I hope your bday is one that will go down in history as one of the best with all your favorite people there to share it with you

She is a sweetie. As long as she is dry, fed, and spoiled a little, she's pretty much happy.

I think I can say it was one of my better birthdays. Next year, I'll be at home on my birthday. Maybe not quite as exciting as last year.

Art did retire in the middle of October. Be sure to say hi to Teena, she is an awesome greeter as well. She's a DISer too!

We'll ask for her if we get over there next month. She's welcome to join our Dis meet at the Poly. What's her DIS name?

What a wonderful breakfast! It looks yummy! I love the pic of Minnie laughing at Bella, too funny!

Yep, it was.

The characters were fun. :)

All the seashell art makes me want to get crafty with all the shells laying around the house...

What a great breakfast at Cape May and adorable pictures of everyone with the characters! My favorite shot may be that very artistic one of the Mickey waffles. :thumbsup2

I'm sure Chelsea will do some crafts with you.

Nothing makes a breakfast quite so exciting as Mickey waffles.

the food looks great

It was good.

SOLD! That is on my short ADR list for June.... like the only one! The characters look so cute, if only I can get a room at the BC I would be set. Thanks, I was really looking forward to that. I love how you saw the characters twice, my girls would really love that!

Are you still just doing Disney things but no parks? Character meals would definitely be good for that.

just caught up with the last few updates and I must say all the pictures with all the big smiles were awesome to see!!! Your report always show how much your family means to you--love reading about all you guys:thumbsup2

My family means more to me than they will ever know. I do not deserve to have any of them, yet God blessed me with them anyway.

I love all the characters in their beach gear! So cute!

That buffet looks really good. I'd go there just to have a chance to check out the Beach Club. :lovestruc

Put in on your list! :thumbsup2

Love the breakfast pictures!!!

Its funny...but I still have my croquet set!:rotfl2:

It's been a long time since I have played. I thought using the set as decor was cute.

So glad you enjoyed your birthday breakfast! We've done the dinner, but not the breakfast there. The breakfast food looks delicious!

I was happy from the beginning, because as soon as I walked in I saw tomatoes, and I like tomatoes with eggs, bacon, and biscuits. I ate so much it was probably sinful.

That breakfast looked fantastic and you all seemed to enjoy everything. I think this may be going on our list.

It's a good one! There was something for every taste.

What awesome pictures!! Looks like you all had a great morning!!

I LOVE the sleepy pictures of Bella....what a darling princess!! :lovestruc She and Brooklyn are both as cute as they can be - you must have SO much fun with them!

We did have a fun morning. I have much, much fun with those little girls. They will be here Friday night and I am ready to have fun with them all weekend.

This pic is SO cute

I love this one of the boys with Minnie - I love that they aren't embarrassed or too shy to have a pic taken. Smiles from ear to ear! What a fun breakfast! (We went to Cape May last December and loved the food and interaction!)

Even Drew will admit that he likes Disney trips now. He still makes fun of Jill and me, and he doesn't have the desire to go as much as us, but he at least admittedly likes it.

I completely agree with the others, the picutre of Minnie and the 3 boys is awesome!

Cape May is so appealling and on my list of someday places. It looks like I may be able to make a spring trip afterall and I'm sure my list is longer than the time I will have. How am I ever going to decide? :faint: (now THAT is a problem I'm happy to have though!)

I hope you get to do a spring trip. My list is always longer than my time, even on the ten day trips. Next summer, we may add one more day and have ten nights and eleven days.

I like wigd's two whole weeks!!!!

IMG_0415.jpg

Aw! I love this picture. :goodvibes

Especially the boy on the right! ;)

He's okay...
as long as he is not tired or hungry. :)

I'm glad I was able to get them all in one.

What a sweet smile on Bella's face! And I love the 3 men and a lady pic- everyone looks so happy!

They were full and happy!

Bella does have a precious smile. I can't wait to smooch those little cheeks this weekend, and Brooklynn's too!

Cape May looks great! I can't wait to hear more about the birthday extravaganza!

In the next installment, we'll do a little browsing in the BC gift shop and then head to park #2.

Job well done, MeMom. :)

We try to show our Disney love, so i guess they just gave in and caught it. ;)

Love the pics of the Beach Club and yalls breakfast! I'll have to remember Cape May for our next trip! :thumbsup2
The pic of Minnie and the boys is so cute!! Jarvis is too cute with Donald!!

That's right - start planning for the next trip! :cool1:

Three men and a lady.

I think Drew is coming around too! It looks like he is trying to hold in the fact that he is having a good time. :rotfl2:

I can see it in his eyes that his smile is genuine happiness at being a part of it all.

yes Memom, job well done:thumbsup2

They all say they are going back in December, so I guess they are becoming more and more Dis friendly.

Enjoyed the Beach Club pics. We've never visited any part of the Yacht/Beach Club but it looks so pretty.

Think I'll be looking into making that breakfast one of our ADRs in Sept. :thumbsup2

It is pretty. I will look forward to your pictures. September is a month that will be out for me until I retire, which is a long way off.

Brooklynn is a big girl these days. She seems ready to tackle all the big rides, too.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I'm sorry your knee didn't cooperate so nicely. I really do feel your pain. And I'm extra sorry that you ended up with even more pain with broken toes!

What we've been told on safaris is that they can slow down, but not stop unless it is for the animals, like if they're on the road.

You had a good view!

Of course, I noticed the Christmas cup! :santa:

:lmao:

That was his way of flirting with you. ;)

I agree with Poolrat. Such a great picture of the guys with Minnie. They all have that true smile that no matter how hard you resist, it comes out. One of the many reasons why we love Disney and everything about it.

I'm trying to make myself dislike Disney so that I won't be wailing when we leave from the December trip. Why does travel cost so much? I could handle the rooms and food, but it's travel that kills us!

I have caught up. We had a great trip to WDW. I am enjoying reading about your birthday. So far it sounds great. I love WDW breakfast buffets. We ate at several last week. They have great strawberries and everything else as well.

I know - good strawberries and good watermelon. :thumbsup2

I'm glad you had a great trip, and I'm ready to hear all about it.

That is one beautiful resort and all that food is making me drool! Love the picture of Minnie snickering at sleeping Bella and of Minnie with the guys.

Veyr pretty, and right there at Epcot. Very nice. ::yes::

Finally all caught up! I need to remember to at least check your report every other day MeMom! Otherwise I end up 12 pages behind :lmao:

I'm trying to wrap this up before we go in December!

That sounds like a great plan about the breakfasts. You should be very excited about staying at Beach Club. Very cool! :cool1:

How is your knee???

xxx

It'll be no time before you are back at WDW with Toby in tow this time. :)

I guess right now my knee is better than arkie's!

I hope your dad is back to golfing soon. For me, planting and turning are not normal still. Every once in a while, I'll get a sharp pain for no apparent reason. It is still large in comparison to my left knee, but it is way better than it was, so I am happy.

Hi MeMom, the Cape May Clambake does not have characters but it is very good. We had heard mixed reviews and decided to give it a try anyway and loved it! I don't think you will be disappointed.

I didn't think it did, but I wasn't for sure. I know we will try it eventually. We still have several places we haven't done, so we'll have to go for many years to come. All in the name of research, of course.

He's okay...
as long as he is not tired or hungry. :)

Funny, I always say this about DD24 except I add "wet" and "cold" as well. Otherwise she's a lot of fun to be with!

We are still planning the no parks WDW trip. I am afraid saying that will get me kicked off the DIS!

Tomorrow is our big switch resort day if we can. I might just get me a ticker when I have a more finalized plan.

MeMom, Teena the greeter at Beach Club's screen name on the DIS is "TeenaS".
She is full of great information over on the Beach Club/Yacht Club thread. Her daughter is a teacher in Las Vegas and we had a very nice visit with her last summer.

Looks like it was a great breakfast!! A nice first meal on a special day.

The picture of Bella in the high chair truly shows what a peanut she is! She really looks like a doll sitting in there she's so little!!! :cutie:

Were you writing ugl words on our report??? :rotfl:

Yes, real Chucky dolls. Other than those dolls, Heather is a pretty normal gal, but those dolls... :scared1:

We'l laugh with and at each other, and that'll be fine. With an 8:15 Kona ADR, you'll probably beat us to the beach. We should be there within a few minutes after you. I would say we'd gobble down our food, but that steak is worthy of savoring every bite! :goodvibes

Oh goodness!  I didn't even think about it when I wrote it...obviously! Oooops!

Oh ya, enjoy your dinner! I've heard many good things about the steak at Kona. Yummy. Is there any sort of landmark I should hang out around until you guys arrive? We can probably be there earlier, so I can start staking out the spot...
