Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

That shopping was really nice on this rainy, wet florida day. You should give the American idol show a try. I don't like the real show, but Emily loves it so we all went. Everyone had a great time. It was really funny the hosts in the beginning that warms everyone up is great and the judges are hilarious.

Thanks for the tour of DHS this morning, MeMom!

It complemented my breakfast perfectly and brightened my morning a little bit. For some reason, I agreed to work today and I'm dreading it, so my morning needed a little brightening!

Sorry you had to go to work today, but I'm glad it could get a good start with some Disney happiness. :)

Ah, you made the girls at this house very happy this morning, MeMom -- Bo for Chelsea and Indiana Jones for me! :lovestruc

I love the Hollywood theming of the Studios -- I would so live in those Echo Lake Apartments in a heartbeat! ;)

Glad I could start your day with some of your favorite fellas.

I love Hollywood, too, and I love it even more at night, I think, with all of the lights on the marquees all lit up in different colors.

we haven't bought it yet but ray's nephew came over last night and we rented it. it was awesome! i only played about 4 rounds because ray's nephew was here and i didn't want to hog the game. but wait until we take him home tonight...that baby is MINE!

you are silly, memom!

thanks! only you would think of that. :goodvibes

VERY cool! i will show those to ray. we have to get pregnant first though.

hopefully next time you take a walk with us you won't be in any pain either!

I do remember a man and woman looking at me kind of funny when I was lining the cups up just right.

I think you'll have a baby on the way within the next three months.

Be still my souvenir buying heart!!! What a great picture tour of DHS!!! I saw a couple of things I need to add to my to do list to for shopping purposes!!!

I'm catching up here...and ouchie to the bruise on Brooklynn's cheek!! I'm glad she was okay! The picture of Bella on the bed with her toys was just adorable that baby is so happy!!!

How is your leg doing???? I hope your recovery is going well!!! Thank you so much for a great picture tour this morning...retail therapy as I like to call it has done wonders for my morning already!!

What did you see that you liked? Taking pictures of things has actually saved me a lot of money, I think. If I know I can't afford it, instead of buying it anyway, I've just learned to be happy with the pictures. :goodvibes

Bella is a happy girl, and she just goes with the flow.

I'll tell you a funny 'leg story' in a minute.

Walt Disney invented Twitter!! Who knew??!!

Love the stroll through DHS this morning!

Long before its time.

Glad you enjoyed the walk. :)

Taking a break from laundry and packing to check for an update. I hope to be taking that same walk around DHS on Monday night.:woohoo:This will be the real test of my new knee. I'm hoping that I will be walking instead of riding all week.

How fun for you! Lucky!!!

I hope the knee does wonderfully well.

We might be going to Disney on Ice too:). I know that is your family time, but if we go to the same show, maybe it will work out to meet after the show at the Hippo if the timing works out (I try to get Abby to nap in the afternoon). We haven't decided which show we are going to, but if there is one on Sat, it will probably be that one.

I love all the pictures this AM - it put me in my happy place:goodvibes

We've got tickets to the early Saturday show, so if you go to that one, maybe we can just meet you there. We will probably go home afterwards so the girls can nap. If we go to the Disney Store, it'll be later in the evening or Sunday afternoon.

I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures.

Oh my! I spy several little souvies I'd like to get my hands on! I'm still intrigued by the mickey bar bag despite reports of its size. I will have to check it out! Can't wait.

Thanks for a lovely walk around DHS this morning, MeMom. I'm so glad you get to do it again soon without any knee pain! :thumbsup2

It is smaller than big old teacher tote bags, but if you're not a teacher or are using it for something else, it may do fine. It is cute!

Four more weeks!

This might be one of the best updates ever. There was so many things I have never seen or noticed... windows, the famous people crates, American Idol store.

I think any mom feels that way in the morning at some point!

Dawn those star wars guys are hits! Luke loves his!

It's hard to slow down enough to see the details with kids, of course. That's why you need a grown-ups only trip someday.

I enjoyed that marvelous walk through DHS!! I can't wait, less than 2 weeks now!

Nicole's having a birthday!
And she's going to Disney World!!
In less than two weeks!!! :cool1:

If you want a good laugh at my expense, read on. :)

This morning, I was cleaning out the back room even more than I did the last time and getting rid of more stuff. I organized and condensed and found some things I needed and was just having a productive time of it. After I had thrown a bunch of 'stuff' on the floor, I got down there to put it into different tubs. As soon as I sat down, I knew it was a mistake. My whole leg got a sharp pain down the side, but I moved to the side until it stopped. I figured since I was down, I might as well do the job I needed to do. I put markers in a bucket, index cards in a box, etc. for several minutes.

But then, when the task was done, I had to figure how I was going to stand up without putting the bad knee on the ground. I'm not strong enough to stand up on one leg, so I swayed one way and another and rolled on my back a time or two trying to figure out how to get up, but I was unsuccessful.

It was a true case of, "I've fallen, and I can't get up!" I was laughing at myself and was glad no one was here. Finally, I just bit the bullet and had to put pressure on the bad knee in order to get up. It hurt like the dickens, but it was a good lesson. No more getting in the floor for me for a few more weeks, I'd say.

I'm dying to get up into the attic, too, but I'm thinking that's a 'no go' for a little while, too. ;)

Loved the shopping trip! I think Brooklynn definitely needs the Snow White bank - not that I'm biased or anything:rolleyes:

Thanks for the laugh:lmao:, but hopefully your knee didn't hurt for too long afterwards!

Thanks also for posting all of the DHS shopping pics. I don't think I've ever been shopping in all of my trips there. It seems we are always on the run to get where we need to be and never enough time for shopping. On my next trip with my ds, I hope to get a little bit of shopping done. Shopping never has been one of his favorite things to do, but I have seen so many things I would like to look for in your pics, he'll just have to tag along for a bit. In fact, maybe I can convince him with a pin or something, :rolleyes1

I hope you have a great weekend! Off to Scrapfest by Archivers at the Mall of America!!

Poor knee! It will be all the way better soon and then you'll be :cool1::banana::cool1: at Disney World!:cheer2:
I have a funny knee story too about my mother.
Last summer we went to Maine with her and we went to a beach. So she decided to lay down. Guess what happens next. She can't get up! So after a few minutes of me trying to help. (The girls and DH were somewhere else) Some lady about her age sees her struggling and comes over with a beach chair for her to push down on. :rotfl:
The lady said something really funny I forgot what it was though.

IMG_0589.jpg

We have those blue Mickey towels in the kitchen! :goodvibes

Well that was a fun trip walking around DHS with you. If only I could do it in real life!

Oh MeMom, that stroll through DHS was just what the doctor ordered! I would love one of those mugs, Dumbo maybe, and the black and white french inspired Mickey purse too. We got ice cream from that dinosaur! She's very generous.

Bella looks like she loves her little Peter Pan guys. I'd like a set of those myself! And poor Brooklyn. Cheekbone bumps are no fun at all!

What a happy stroll! I can't wait to be a "big shot" and point out those crates to my crew the next time we visit! Thanks so much for taking those pictures, who knew?!?
Your episode this morning with that knee made me feel really bad for you... I would have been a wreck if it had been me....

MeMom
Love the shopping trip and all the details of DHS. i am getting real excited for my trip in 4 weeks!!!

For godness sake, stay off that knee. Loved the shopping pics-staging even!! So many cute things-I gotta win the lottery!

Thanks for the 'walk around DHS' Lots of awesome details i've never noticed before but hopefully we will this trip... Planning to try and get most of the rides done in the morning then have quieter afternoons/evenings :)

I hope you don't mind heat, we're here now and it's HOT!

Jill and I were just talking about how hot it was when we were there two Octobers ago. We were dripping wet at Magic Kingdom on arrival day. For the sake of everyone in costumes, I'm hoping for it to be a bit cooler this year. Our little cousins have some pretty warm costumes, so if it is hot, they may not be playing the roles of Nemo and Squirt for very long!

It has been wet here for days, too, but we finally saw some sunshine yesterday!

I'm sure I'll try AI eventually. It's just not one of the things on my list right now. By the looks of the crowd that poured out of that place, it's a very popular deal!

Loved the shopping trip! I think Brooklynn definitely needs the Snow White bank - not that I'm biased or anything:rolleyes:

I have looked at it numerous times, and since I have a three year old as an excuse to buy it, it will probably happen someday. ;)

Thanks for the laugh:lmao:, but hopefully your knee didn't hurt for too long afterwards!

I'm glad you laughed, because I did, too! It did hurt off and on all day in the front where I had to put the pressure. One of the holes had already popped open the day he took the stitches out. I guess they weren't quite ready to be removed.

I hope you can discover the joy of shopping on your next trip! :goodvibes

Someday I am going to find my way to the Mall of America. I think several of you live up there fairly close. We'll have to have a DIS meet there someday!

Poor knee! It will be all the way better soon and then you'll be :cool1: at Disney World!:cheer2:

The lady said something really funny I forgot what it was though.

I rolled a mini-trampoline over and helped pull myself up with that.

We have those blue Mickey towels in the kitchen! :goodvibes

Well that was a fun trip walking around DHS with you. If only I could do it in real life!

I don't have any of the kitchen towels, but I do often dish out food items with one of the white glove Mickey hand spoons. :)

Glad you enjoyed the walk. Your trip report is starting to get sad. I don't like it when it gets toward the end! :sad1:

Oh MeMom, that stroll through DHS was just what the doctor ordered! I would love one of those mugs, Dumbo maybe, and the black and white french inspired Mickey purse too. We got ice cream from that dinosaur! She's very generous.

Bella looks like she loves her little Peter Pan guys. I'd like a set of those myself! And poor Brooklyn. Cheekbone bumps are no fun at all!

My favorite mugs were Jiminy Cricket and Dumbo. They had little pictures painted on the inside, too. They were very cute.

Yes, Gertie is quite the girl when it comes to making people happy with her ice cream!

Just think of all the pretty red-haired grandchildren you are going to have to buy those toys for someday!

What a happy stroll! I can't wait to be a "big shot" and point out those crates to my crew the next time we visit! Thanks so much for taking those pictures, who knew?!?
Your episode this morning with that knee made me feel really bad for you... I would have been a wreck if it had been me....

I learn so much when I look at other people's pictures, so I'm glad you learned from mine. You can play the role of big shot tour guide next time and your guys will be impressed! :thumbsup2 Baylor probably won't know any of the names, though, so he may just roll his eyes at you.

Well, it was funny, but it did hurt, and it hurt off and on all day. It hadn't been hurting in the front at all through the week, only the side, but yesterday I think it was mad at me for squashing it, and it let me know!

MeMom
Love the shopping trip and all the details of DHS. i am getting real excited for my trip in 4 weeks!!!

Us, too! We'll have to meet up at some point.

For godness sake, stay off that knee. Loved the shopping pics-staging even!! So many cute things-I gotta win the lottery!

Oh, believe me, after how it felt yesterday afternoon, I will! It was not happy with me.

We've got a gang of teachers who throw in a dollar a week and one teacher buys tickets. You can't imagine the scene there would be if we got one of those million dollar prizes! Did you see that a CM who was playing Snow White out at Disneyland won $5.2 million a couple of weeks ago?!?!?:dance3:

Thanks for the 'walk around DHS' Lots of awesome details i've never noticed before but hopefully we will this trip... Planning to try and get most of the rides done in the morning then have quieter afternoons/evenings :)

That's pretty much how we like to do it. Get to the parks and do things while most people are sleeping, then take it easier the rest of the day. This summer, with a not quite four month old and a not quite three year old, there was plenty of down time for naps and playing in the water.

Awww...while I did chuckle!! I'm sorry you had to go through that! At least you are up and about and getting things done...something I need to do a bit better of in the next week LOL!!!

SO what did I see that I liked...hmmm there were some very nice ladies shirts that had a touch of vintage to them that I really liked! I also liked the coffee mugs even though I'm not a coffee drinker, but I could put water in those right???? I definitely want to get a few more kitchen towels for my kitchen...I love them!! A piece of Disney everytime I have to do the dishes LOL!!

:dance3:LOVE THE SHOPPING PICS!!! :dance3:

I saw so many wonderful things! So many bags to choose from!

My Sunday brunch would be so much better if I had those Mickey head dishes!

Thank you for all those pics, it made my day! ;)

******************************************

Poor MeMom, it's too bad one of your boys weren't there to help you up. Kindove comical, but I'm glad you didn't really hurt yourself.

I'm going to go see if "Disney on Ice" is coming my way.....

Someday I am going to find my way to the Mall of America. I think several of you live up there fairly close. We'll have to have a DIS meet there someday!

Sounds good to me!:thumbsup2 The Disney store isn't huge, but it does work when I need a Disney fix!:cool1:

I have cleared out about all I can from the back room now. When I am able, I plan to tackle the attic. Probably when the weather cools off at the end of October.

We like to get the big beach towels as usable souvenirs. We use them regularly, and when we hop out of the shower and wrap up in a Splash Mountain or Main Street USA or Wilderness Lodge towel, it makes us happy. :) Well, me anyway. The boys are just happy to be clean and don't care what they dry off with.

Yes, all food tastes better on Mickey plates. ::yes::

Glad you enjoyed the pictures. :thumbsup2

It was comical, no doubt. It's not hurting in the front today, so I don't think I did permanent harm.

I know! I'm trying not to be too depressing with it! :rotfl2:

But it's exciting that you get an unexpected surprise trip in the spring, so you don't have to wait a whole year! :woohoo:

To quickly finish off the day after my journey through Hollywood Studios:

Jill finished putting her signs in her window.

IMG_0001.jpg

The rest of the evening was spent at the pool and just hanging out in the room, since we had an early morning at Magic Kingdom ahead of us.

Brooklynn and Jill enjoying the bowling pin pool.

Bella enjoys the water, too.

IMG_0006.jpg

Brooklynn decided she needed to kiss Bella.

Bella let Jill know she was getting hungry!

Brooklynn leads the way back to the room.

And that was it for that day. I was glad that I had gone on to Hollywood Studios since they decided not to go out again at night. It was good to just get into bed and play with the girls, relax, and then get up and out early the next morning.

You know that it's worth getting up and out early when you get pictures like this.

IMG_0051.jpg

Awww...I'm glad everyone had a very fun and relaxing time at the pool that evening!! The pictures of the girls in the pool, especially the one of Brooklynn giving her little sister a kiss are just adorable!!!!

Loved the window decorations!!!

Nice picture of an empty MK!! I can't wait to hear about your next morning!!

Precious pics of the pool! Love Brooklynn leading the way back to the room. Poor Bella smacking away on Jill's cheek looking for something to eat! Your empty park pic is just fabulous! It looks like there was no mad rush for Dumbo for you all!
