Brooke's Surprise Trip - March 2010

I've been lazy and haven't posted the video yet. Feeling inspired by all the "Let the Memories Begin" commercials, I finally edited and uploaded the video of Brooke's surprise.

We already had a trip planned in December. But with a long weekend coming up we decided to take a quick trip and make it a surprise.

Since my wife and I had the day off we went to have lunch with Brooke at school. We don't get to do this often because of work. Brooke loved having us eat with her. I'm not sure how, but we calmly made it through lunch! Sitting there knowing that the bags were packed, and everything loaded in the car was tough!

After lunch we told her that she could come home with us.

On her car seat we had some things for her to do on the way down, Disney Bear plush, and Disney Bear's book about the Magic Kingdom. We've read that book over and over. So when she saw Disney Bear she started making connections. But it still took a minute to all sink in for her!

One it did she scrambled to buckle up!

We drove down on Friday. Saturday we spent in the Magic Kingdom. It poured rain all day!

But the park was virtually empty! We walked on rides all day!

Even with the rain we had an awesome day at the Magic Kingdom. We walked on rides all day.

Thanks to the rain we got to see a parade we didn't even know about--Rainy Day Character Cavalcade.

We didn't realize how many attractions we had done until about 6:00 when we were all exhausted! We sat down for a break and everyone was so tired we left the park.

Brooke was asleep before we even left the parking lot!

Sunday we spent doing somethings we hadn't had time before to do outside the parks. We started the morning with breakfast at Cape May.

After that we enjoyed a walk around the Boardwalk.

We ended the trip Monday with our favorite breakfast - Ohana!

It was a short trip, but a great trip! It made counting down to our trip in December much easier!
