Brokers

I can highly recommend Jaki Apetz and **** *****. Their website is

www.**********.com

They are great to work with, very professional and have been selling DVC for 15+ years. I am confident that you will enjoy working with them.

Many folks, including me, have used The TimeShare Store. They are the sponsor's of these pages. Their contact information is at the top of the page.

Tom at Timeshare Store is great - and everyone else there. Have dealt with three different agents there for three different resales - very happy with their service.

Dozens, if not hundreds, of us have used The Timeshare Store with great results. Not every broker knows what they are doing, but TTS clearly does. Plus, TTS is an important part of this community and Tom Yeary in particular has proved that in many, many ways beyond his sponsorship.

I've never used Jaki, but I've heard nothing but good things about her.

The same cannot be said of every broker.

In addition to those listed above, I have purchased 3 contracts through International GMAC (Rachel Thompson), and have been very happy.

I have read a few complaints about lack of communication with some of the brokers in general, but the process to buy is the same. If brokers communicated the following, it would help new buyers considerably:
- Make an offer on a contract.
- Once accepted, buyers/sellers sign the documents and send in with deposit.
- Broker sends paper off to Disney for ROFR. If refused, you're finished, and you start all over. If Disney passes on repurchasing, they notify the broker that they have waived ROFR (this is the big hurdle for a buyer :woohoo: ).
- You then wait for Disney to send the estoppels back to the broker.
- Once the broker receives the estoppels from Disney, the closing docs are prepared and sent. Buyer/Sellers sign closing docs, and buyer sends in final balance due.
- It's recorded by the county auditor, and passed to Disney.
- Within a week, you should be in Disney's system.

Much of the time line is dependent upon buyers and sellers getting their information back to the broker (both at offer and closing), and how long Disney takes to make a decision on ROFR.

I'd place a call to all three, and see who you are most comfortable with. I actually have experience with all three, and would highly recommend any of them. :thumbsup2
