First off We are new members and this is the first time using points for a vacation.

We were not sure if our offer would be accepted in time for our upcoming vacation, so we booked using cash (and got a great deal so we kept it) There are 6 adults and 2 kids staying in a 2 bedroom. Here is the trouble, my mom decided that if we could get her a 1 bedroom using the points she would bring a couple of friends (she doesn't fly and needs someone to drive with her, the rest of us are flying). She was only going to stay 4 nights to our 6. We got her the one bedroom and everything was set, we leave next friday. Well her friends' mother broke her hip and now the trip is most likely done for. We pretty much won't be able to use the points before we would lose them, so we would like to keep the reservation and spread out our group of 8.

My question is how late can i change the reservation to add people from our reservation to her reservation? and Then what happens to those peoples kttw card (we have park passes with our room, mom didn't) I'm hoping I can just take my mom off her reservation and add someone from ours and then just get the room key and figure it out from there.

There's no difficulty in changing names and should even be able to be done at the check in desk although someone reported difficulty at BWV doing this in the last week or two. That more likely was a not well trained CM since other's reported doing this successfully and I have done it in the past also.
