I know I don't post here at all but I wanted to share some of our wedding recaps here.
What you're reading, I wrote right after the wedding up until now. Photos will be included!
We are married! Our wedding was absolutely perfect. Every single detail could not have been more awesome. I am posting the first set of recaps and I will finish them when I am back from our honeymoon and our blissful wedding trip!

Tuesday, Nov. 29
On Monday I went ahead and requested Tuesday and Wednesday off, making Monday my last day at work. Tuesday came quite early and I had to get started on the place cards, programs, and menus. We had already finished a few of the other projects. And the T-shirt transfers I had printed didnt turn out because I printed them on the wrong side of the paper. So project I thought Id be able to delegate didnt work out for me.
My dad asked me to have lunch with him so we went to Cheesecake Factory. It was great spending time but I had to get back to work at their house.
The day flew by and everything was cool.
Wednesday
I had been up until 2am getting the shirts done and my dad wanted to have breakfast. He dragged me out of bed and we went to McDonalds. We also had to stop and check on his rental car since his car isnt suitable for long trips in its old age.
I went to Franks and my house and began laundry. He was totally packed. I sat down on the computer to check my email to find out about dropping China off to be dogsat and the internet didnt work. I tried to fix it to no avail.
I dont want to go into all the gory details but that night we had the biggest fight of our relationship. We were finally too tired to fight anymore (which was a first) so we headed to my parents house to get the things we needed to take from there.
Thursday
5:30 rolled around fast. Just too fast, in fact, that I slept up until 6:30 and we walked out the door at 7:15.
We talked the entire way down to Florida and we did not caravan with anyone. Number one, my family is horrible to travel with and two, Frank and I needed to hammer this one out.
By the time we were in Orlando, all was well and we headed to the courthouse to obtain our marriage license. Yes, they take credit cards now. No, you cant tell them if you are assuming a new name in Florida. But you can in GA. So now we have to go thru some stuff in GA to get his birth fathers name dropped from his name.
We got checked in to the Contemporary and Frank and I got on the Monorail after unpacking. He gets a call just as we pull into the transportation center. Its his mom and Frank just starts tearing up. Off the monorail- I just shoved him out the door. I had to find a corner so he could talk on the phone.
Then I realized- its his mom, she is drunk, and she has told him she does not support our marriage and is not coming to the wedding. I am hurting for Frank at this point. Her not being there creates a ton of emotions.

Shhh!
Frank is in the shower so I am sneaking these to you all. Thanks for the comments. I don't even know what I looked like so ... weeeee! Everything was perfect. I will have more later but they will be all "Glad's" after this!
Glad I Did:
Patken Photographer
-Evan was spectacular. He had an awesome attitude and kept us laughing. He really allowed us to have a great time.
Cinderellas Coach
-The $2500 is a hard pill to swallow but it just made my day. There were little girls running after me yelling Cinderella and it just put me on top of the world. True awe factor
Grand I
-We really needed a moment alone between the ceremony and reception and the Grand I was perfect. We rode on the front and took Evan with us. I also ordered some sparkling cider for the ride which was absolutely necessary. The crew was great!
Complained for a better WP.
-Ken Weaver is awesome. He is so sweet but realistic and I dont know what I would have done had I stuck with the prior WP we had. Ken made the day.
Booked the GF for our wedding night:
-Even though its complimentary, it was awesome being escorted to a Clarendon room, right past Walt Disneys Suite.
Figment
-This was the highlight of my day. He really made me smile and laugh and I almost cried. He is no longer available for weddings since a new edict was put in place for all Epcot Characters.
Skipped ceremony décor
-I dont even know what it looked like. I was not paying attention and spending just a few hundred dollars on this was awesome. Flowers die.
Used Danielle of Dream Designs
-I cant believe how in love I was with my bouquet. I didnt care about it until I saw it and it was more beautiful that I could have ever hoped for. She was great, too.
Kept the guest list down
-I got to see everyone and spend a moment with them. It would have been hard if there were any more people than the 70 we had.
Wish I had
Booked our hotel differently
-Transferring hotels is a pain in the butt. We had a ton of luggage, especially since we drove. The bellmen were none too happy about it.
Not used the motorcoach
- Oh, about 12 people rode on the bus. Waste of money for me since most people rented cars. It would be different if our locations were farther apart though.

Frank calls back and wanted to talk to his dad. He tells his dad he will call back in a few hours, hopefully she will sober up. By the time he called back, she had passed out in bed.
In their previous conversation, his mom said she would absolutely not support this marriage and if she came, it would be under the pretense she did not support it. We already figured that out. Frank really stood up for himself and told her he doesnt want to hear a peep out of her and she just grunted I guess.
At long last, Frank told his dad (also one of our co-best men) to call in the morning if there were problems getting her onto the plane.
Friday
Friday morning came early. My mom was up about 7am so I guess its time to get up and start milling about. I had forgotten exactly what was weighing heavily on my heart and I remembered that Frank was supposed to get a phone call. My mom calls up to their room (my dad and Frank were rooming together) and nope, they were both still asleep. No phone call, I come to find out. OK that means she got on the plane.
Frank and I decided we wanted to spend some good R&R time with my moh/sister Nicole and her hubby (GM) Rob. So we went to MK and then hit up MGM. My sister has an infant so the time was cut at about 2pm, after we had met up with Franks friend and his gf from NYC. We had a blast and my sister is scared to death of rides. She said this was her day to let down her guard. So ToT and RnR was it. She loved RnR and was absolutely terrified (no joke) at ToT. No biggie. The picture we got was awesome but I wouldnt pay for it. I still have to get up the nerve to posting our park visit pictures.
We get a phone call from Shirley that theyve checked into the ghetto (i.e. Mighty Ducks at All Star). Mind you, she was the one too cheap to get a nicer room and refused to rent a car. What did you expect? I told you up front what it was.
Whatever. Time for the bachelorette party. Candace calls and says we are going to Epcot because she thought that would be good, clean fun. OK cool. She is my oldest sister. My next oldest sister, Katie, said it was a lame idea and no way would it be fun without getting smashed. Right. Ok. She showed up, we walked around with a few other girls that were invited to the wedding and it was awesome. Nicole was super excited with illuminations and we did end up having Robby with us. It was fine and he slept right through the fireworks. He is the best baby ever.
While we were at the bachelorette party, my parents, Frank's parents, and my grandparents had a priority seating at Citrico's. On their way in, some random stranger handed Frank's mom a longstem rose. When they got to the counter, Lo and behold, they could not "find" the reservation but Candace had made it and had the confirmation number. So after 15 minutes on the phone with them, Candace got them "upgraded" to the chef's private table there. Frank's mom was loving it apparantly.
Frank's mom has a brother. The lady he married is a very successful travel agent and books the Dolphin under contract with them. They upgraded her and Frank's uncle to the presidential suite. It's a two story, four bedroom suite that takes up the top of the "triangle" on the top of the Dolphin. They invited Frank's parents to stay with them. Lesli (BM/Frank's sister) and her fiance also went there to stay. It was delightful to say the least, and the room was very nice. It was styled more along the lines of Coronado Springs, not the Grand Floridian. It wasn't extravagant, it was more back-woods, rustic styling. It was incredibly gorgeous. Frank and I hoped this was the break his mom needed to see this was the right thing. We went over to check it out and to say hello but his parents were not there.
His aunt and uncle had received a huge arrangement of thanks from The Dolphin and she gave it to me since they'd be leaving the next day. This arrangement followed Frank and I around for 4 days and it was stunning.
