Bringing Mom to WDW for MY bday, Sept '09! Day 4 Part 1..AK and Tusker House 12/30!

disneygirlinnj, I'm sorry to hear you guys broke up. But I'm glad it sounds like it was amicable. And trip planning is a good distraction, I agree.

All in all I'm pretty ok with everything. We both agreed it was hard and we didn't have a huge blow out fight to end things. It was pretty mutual and for good reason. Oh well... anyone wanna join us for our ADRs? lol we have an extra spot at the tables! (I swear that's not meant to sound mean... just trying to make the best of it lol)
 That's pretty much how it ended with me and my DF, but in the long run it was probably for the best.

Sorry about your breakup! Long distance relationships are super hard!

Disney will be here soon though! Here is some pixiedust:for you!

Sorry about the break up, but it doesn't seem to be too bad. Sounds like distance is the big issue.....

sorry about your break-up:hug: sometimes..like you said, it is definately for the best. And those distance relationships are brutal!

BTW... congrats on going for your MBA:thumbsup2

Did you decide on a day for MNSSHP?? I missed it if you did. We should try for a quick meet on Weds too.... other than maybe passing each other at Chefs lol!! Jenjolt and I will be at Epcot all day that day (as far as I know...anyway) other than dinner at Yachtsman.

Paula

Sorry to hear about the break up, but it sounds like it ended well, and you seem ok. Good for you!

So we're one man down for part of the trip.

My bf who lives in FL was going to come and join us for his first Disney experience but today we just decided to end our relationship and just stay friends. It was too hard with the distance and everything and now that we're both going back to school (eventually going to get my MBA...hopefully soon!)...theres no time or money to allow us to see each other regularly. He still might come for a day or two when we're there but not for as long as originally planned.

Sorry to hear about the breakup. Long distance relationships are very difficult. When I first started college I had a g/f back home and even though we were just an hour apart it didn't work out.

Anyway, if you have any MBA questions let me know. I stayed at LSU for two extra years to get my MBA out of the way. Have you taken the GMAT yet? Where are you looking to get it?

OK, coming over to a brighter PTR :lmao:. Did you get a chance to jot down dates? I agree even if it is just a quick "hello" Dis meets are so much fun. I need to post a few pictures from the May Dis meet we had at Epcot. It was so awesome. Let me know and we can start a thread for a meet and have a blast.

Ha, we were just bearers of great news yesterday! :lmao: I'll start looking today if I can through reports and try figuring out some dates or something!

Sorry to hear you guys broke up but at least it was amicable.

Aww, I'm sorry.

I'll join ya!! :lmao:

I'm sorry to hear you guys broke up, but you sound ok about it and besides planning a trip is a great distraction!

Aww I'm sorry about you and your bf breaking up but it seems like it was the best decision. Um if you would be willing to fly me down and pay for my room I'll be happy to join you guys for dinner!! :rotfl:

Thank you guys! It's easier when money and vacation time aren't an issue but ouch! Both are getting tight lately!

Hey Paula... STILL haven't decided on MNSSHP! :scared1:

Sorry to hear about the breakup. Long distance relationships are very difficult. When I first started college I had a g/f back home and even though we were just an hour apart it didn't work out.

Thanks! I haven't taken the GMAT yet...still studying for it little by little. Took my second math practice test and did MUCH better than the first attempt! haha...I don't remember have this stuff! If it wasn't for this test I would have started my MBA YEARS ago!

I'm looking at schools around here since I'll still have to work while I go to school.... Rutgers here in NJ is my top NJ pick. Fordham and NYU (my dream school) would be the NY schools. Then theres a few smaller ones in the area that are decent too but those 3 are my top picks!

Don't take the GMAT until you're ready. From what I understand, a lot of schools will average the scores if you've taken it more than once.

The GMAT is all computer-based now. I work in information systems, and i HATED it. Besides the technology behind it (unless they've updated, it runs on Windows 3.1) , I just found it very annoying to take a test on the computer. Give me a #2 pencil and a book instead. It can get inside your head too because of the way it works. If you answer a question correctly, it gives you a harder one next time. So you sit there thinking "is this a harder question?" I know LSU was pushing for at least a 600 on the test; Rutgers and NYU probably have even higher standards.

Rutgers is about a 600 as well. I think Fordham a 650 and NYU is around 700 :scared1: I also have to factor in cost. My job will pay for 75% of tuition which is amazing but 25% of the city schools is still a LOT of money. Rutgers I'd be getting in state tuition and it's a state school so it's much cheaper.

Yeah they'll pay for 75% of your tuition here too, but only if you're already working for them, so I didn't get to take advantage of that.

700 is a little ridiculous IMO, but I guess NYU can handle it.

Ok starting to get impatient!! I still haven't received my documents for anything yet and I'm almost at 30 days! :(

I know how you feel! I've been anxiously awaiting ours too! Guess we both just have to be patient.

Aww, sorry to hear about you and BF. DH and I did a long distance thing before we were married, and we ended up breaking up once because of it. :(

How lucky you are to be at 30 days! DD and I flipped over the countdown to 96 today. It seems like it's so far away!

I think mine from March came exactly at 30 days.

I do have my MBA, but I don't remember all the particulars. Though, it hasn't done me much good, other than the new job I got 2 years ago. I think I edged out the others because of the MBA, but I haven't been putting it to much use lately. I have to bug my bosses for more projects. LOL!

I just got mine... yesterday!! They're on the way. One thing I thought was odd though... is I only got 1 ME tag.... not 2. Do you know if they've changed that recently?? I was thinking I'd call them This weekand see about getting another. With Southwest I can check 2 bags... and since I have 1 filled with stuff for my Owner's locker... I'm going to have 2 bags.

Patience is NOT one of my best qualities :)

I think mine came right at 30 days IIRC. Don't get too impatient yet. :)

Down to 32 days... I can't help it!

Thank you :) I remember when I was at 100-ish days! I promise it does go pretty quickly!

Don't feel so bad... I am at 23 days and I only have my Magical Express stuff... :headache:

Ugh! Why are they being so difficult?! lol

Luckily at the moment I'm not doing the MBA for a new job. Just to get the edge and have it under my belt. Hopefully it'll help me out in the long run!

Jealous!! :) STILL no documents! I did hear that they now only send one tag per person. If you want more, you just have to call them and they'll send one right away.
