We live in the Midlands, near Lichfield which is about 20 miles north of Birmingham.

Welcome Ian!

Yep, we live in Cork in Ireland and are heading to London for the weekend (18th to 22nd Jan), meeting up with bigcheeser and family and getting to see Wicked!

Haven't been to Birmingham but just back from Liverpool/Leeds before Christmas, have family over there so any opportunity we get we love to go to the UK!

It's great to be able to say "sailing this year"!! Weren't meant to be but thanks to the power of persuasion, the friends we met last year managed to gently twist my DH's arm! Didn't need much of a push though!

Yeah - packing already is pretty pathetic ... But I'm there with you - since I've been dumping stuff I've picked up for the cruise into my backpack

As for packing..............

Went to Target yesterday before heading back to the Great White North and picked up some TP, carry on size! It's so cute! Thanks to Mary who had it on the DVC Cruise who graciously shared with a fellow cruiser. I remembered that in Europe there may not be any available in Public Facilities!

I haven't started packing, just buying things for it.. bought two lightweight suitcases as our limit pp is 44lbs on Aer Lingus from Cork to Barcelona. The good thing is we are getting to come home from Paris before going to Barcelona so we don't have to bring that stuff with us..

Welcome to the new folks.

I went on line and starting looking at the shore excursions. All I can say is WOW. This OCPD cruiser has her work cut out for her. There were several things that looked interesting and will require more research. If anyone has started doing any research on the excursions and wants to compare notes, please let me know.

A milestone is when you reach 1000 or 5000 etc ...

and if were lucky what might even get to the 10k club which is a very big deal ...lol
