this is prob.a stoopid question, but I'll ask anyway....I automatically chose the transfers but now we don't want them.....do I just call DCL and tell them to take them off? We are going wa y ahead of cruise and will probably stay in barcelona a few days before trip and just taxi it also.thx! :listen:

If you are booked directly with DCL, then yes phone them.

If you booked thru a TA, you will have to contact that TA and have them cancel it.

Hi everyone!

Been away and now up to our eyeballs with end-of-school-year-insanity, baseball games, etc. -- feels like ages since I last posted!

Wow! A mini-meet already! How great for you guys to meet!

Crocs owners -- are they really comfy? I haven't tried a pair yet, but keep hearing how wonderful they are.

I bought our boys Keen sandals a few years ago for a DCL cruise and they loved them! Super comfortable once they got used to the different "look". And the nice thing about them -- they looked great with shorts or pants for dinner (and it cut down on the # of shoes I had to bring for them).

Vacation this summer -- we're going to Wyoming and "playing cowboy". Have no clue how this will turn out........riding a horse is not exactly my idea of a relaxing time. I'll probably sit on a deck somewhere and read a book while DH and the boys fish/ride.

Well, just wanted to pop in and say "hi"! Hope you're all doing well!

They honestly are!!! DD got a pair before camp last year and they were great for slipping on in the a.m. to go to breakfast....they can get wet and are so lightweight its like wearing slippers....i had to get my own pair cuz she was getting annoyed i was always wearing hers (yes, same size feet...yikes)

I also love these shoes...DH and DS have them.....they say they are the best !....and you are right they do look good enough to go to dinner in, so it does save packing room  They wore them everywhere in Mexico and they are STURDY! Wore them cavediving, hiking, dinner, whatever!

We are just going to take a taxi. The port is only about 7 miles from the airport. I figure a taxi will be cheaper then what Disney is charging.

Jennifer
didn't think of that...as of now I have the DCL transfers......but this is the beauty of being the 'last ones out'! We will be able to hear if others have found transfer companies that work for them.

thanks J....
we did book online thru disney, so I guess I need to take care of that :)

Still have not found the YELLOW Crocs!

:confused3

Maybe wasn't meant to be!

Janet & Dee - Thanks for posting the nice pic of your lunch meet! How great that you had a visit & thought to take a pic to share with us. Janet, I'll send Pixie Dust your way! Keep searching for your yellow crocs! You WILL find them!

ds2Mom, As you can tell, I'm in-love with my crocs! I recommend them to all! One of my friends has been wearing them for awhile. It didn't take long for her to convince me to buy a couple of pairs. I fell in love with them. My sis was really against them...thought they were SO ugly....the usual. THEN she got a pair for her birthday. The rest is history! She wears them constantly. It's like getting to wear your favorite slippers out in public. They are nice and cushy too & nice air flow with the little holes. I'll stop blabbering now!

Just think....this time next year the Magic will be crossing the great big Atlantic & we'll all be foaming at the mouth while reading all of the LIVE reports!!! Actually, on May 24th, they'll be in the Med. already!....almost to Barcelona! OH BOY! (as Mickey would say) how exciting! At least we can say we're counting down 1 year until we know ALL about our Westbound cruise!

I suppose I should work.....on my cruise newsletter that is!

Later,
Erica J.

Morning everyone! :wave2:

A friend had said she thought COSTCO was carrying Crocs at one time this year. I probably missed them. Drats. Am anxious to try a pair after reading all the great reviews! My feet need comfort!!

So, what's the latest on airfare? We're still a few months out from when we can book, right? Don't want to screw up and miss the earliest pricing levels.

Are we staying overnight ON the ship the first Saturday night? You may have chatted about this already.

Any other "mini meets" being planned??

Just went back to try to catch up on old posts........Grand Marnier souffle with warm vanilla sauce?!! How on earth did I miss trying that on our May PC repo? And pecan pie in Topsiders? I feel cheated! What was I doing missing all those yummy desserts?? (I have been known to eat dessert for breakfast, too......so much better than cereal!) :rotfl:

bridgemanva -- Welcome! We're in the same neck-of-the-woods! Could there be a mini-meet in our future?!?

DisneyDive4ever -- Wow...that makes the time seem closer...just thinking the first Med. repo will be on its way by this time next year! And we won't be far behind that!

Janet -- A few possibilities for Yellow Crocs:
http://www.bobwards.com/bobwards/servlet/item/features/80906-16 or www.crocs.com.

Well, now I'm starving....off for lunch! Thinking about souffles with vanilla sauce will do it every time! :rotfl2:

Have a great day everyone!

hate to keep harping, but just to give you an idea of HOW comfy.....we have had to be at the hospital a couple of times in the past 6 months ....and both times I was keenly aware that just about EVERY nurse was wearing them.....seems they've even traded in orthopedic nursing shoes for comfy crocs.....we saw nurses in purple, blue, green, pink, khaki....it was funny after a while :rotfl:
anyway....

it has been so long since our cruise..... :guilty: i don't even remember the desserts :guilty: but unfortunately for my waistline....they ALL sound like my favs.....i haven't read about one I wouldn't LOVE :thumbsup2 creme brulee is usually my favorite....but when it comes to dessert I'm not all that picky :lmao:

we still haven't decided where we will fly into......so we have a lot of decisions to make before booking our flights  but I actually looked at Virgins flights into London and they were pretty good. The only thing I've heard about AERLINGUS is that it is super budget and kind of like flying Spirit coach, but worse.....and for 8 HOURS!!!! yikes.....I don't know if I want my trip to start out feeling like I was in a step above a cargo plane....especially with 2 kids in tow :smooth:

anyway, I've been busy reading about houseswapping with a family in Europe....that way we'll have plenty of room and can stay longer with no hotel costs. We have some friends who have done this to France and Costa Rica and Australia and they swear by it. And they are VERY finiky about their house! If you live anywhere touristy or even near someplace touristy, it might be worth a look. We are planning on making a homebase in the middle of France(i always forget the region's name) and making daytrips to places we want to go...or just single overnights and buy a Eurail pass for all of us .. and then training it to Barcelona a few days ahead. :woohoo: but I guess we'll see what happens.

Well, we are heading out for the holiday weekend tomorrow night, so I'll catch up with you guys later!

:wave2: Morning everyone!

Janet -- Had no idea Crocs were made in Canada. Duh....should've read more! Sorry 'bout that. I do know the Dick's Sporting Goods and Nordstroms near us carry them. Not sure about ::MickeyMo colors, though.

Good Day Everyone. How is everyone doing? How many people are going to fly in the day before and stay at the hotel at the pier? It looks really nice and was thinking we could do a mini Dis meet there for those who are not going to Paris.

Just some food for thought.

Talking about Meets!

Any of our group going to be visiting WDW September 1 to September 4, 2006? or with those dates in their trip?

We are doing a Grand Gathering Experiences!

PM me if you are interested.

Dee,

What is the name of the hotel? Sounds perfect for me. I'll be arriving the day before cruising and haven't started to research hotels yet. How close is it to the pier?

Well, what do you know -- PHX terminal has wifi :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

You know you're an addict when you sit in the airport and read the DIS...

The Tag list is Here

I'm hoping to see some growth there, people! :cool1:

Hey Janet, how come Toronto airport dosn't have free WiFi?

Wish I was going to WDW in Sept. Would love to visit again, but the earliest we could go would be in October, and with our cruise in November, I think I will just wait.

Put us down for the Dis tag, there..some growth, :teeth:

I think we will be flying in just in time to get on the ship. We should be loads of fun with jet lag....I get the giggles when I get that tired.
