Our anniversary is actually August 7th but we decided to celebrate on the cruise.

We're celebrating our 25th anniversary on August 20th. We wanted to do a vow renewal but DCL/Disney Weddings said there are no weddings or vow renewals while the ship is out of it's home port.
We could start a list of Anniversary celebrations for this cruise and perhaps organise a Palo dinner together. Anyone interested?

Just checkin in to say hi ....Its been a busy weekend and all with the opening of POTC ....so hopefully I can catch up with whats going on here ...were excited about this cruise as it draws closer and cant wait to meet everyone ...

Don't mind at all.

We didn't do many excursions really. We walked around Tennirife on our own (as we went there on a Sunday though it was all closed so not much to do). Lots of taxis around the port offering tours.

Gibralter we did the Dolphin World tour which was fantastic. We saw a pod of Common Dolphins which had 1 Bottlenose with it. We also did the Rock Tour (not the one with the Cable car). This was brilliant. We got to see St Michaels Cave, the Monkeys and Europa point. It was well worth it if you want to see a bit of everything! The town itself is about 20 mins from the cruise ship so its a bit of a walk but its all well signposted. There are loads of taxis and buses at the terminal and they offer guided tours too.

Cadiz we walked around on our own. Its easy to get to everything from the port. Didn't really notice taxis around the port or anything but there might have been.

Barcelona we went around a little but didn't do much as we were knackered that day. The cruise terminal is about 15 mins away from the town but there is a free shuttle in to town. They also had a taxi service from the port if you wanted to do a tour or go anywhere further afield such as the Olympic village.

Oh I actually have a question. Does anyone know when formal/semi formal nights are etc?

Formal night is Monday, 8/20
Semiformal nights are Saturday 8/25 and Thursday 8/30

Did you do the walking between the sights in Gibraltar? Is it as dire as other folks had posted? Our kids are teens, so we don't have to deal with the needs of small children.

I didn't no but alot of people did and alot of people came back with twisted ankles. The terrain is quite cobbley in places. Most of the town has cobblestones and the mountain roads aren't the best to walk down as in places they are verticle. It is probably easier doing a trip or getting a taxi.

Thanks for the info. I'm sure I'll come up with more questions later.

Hi Todd -- We're booked on this one now, so we'll see you before the 2008 repo . . . I forgot you were on this one! Have a great weekend and I'm finally seeing AWE tomorrow morning.

Oh my God just got off the 14 night cruise over to Barcelona and while on board booked on to this one! Me and my sister are coming (rikimuk on here)! I can't wait!

Susan Egan is going to be on our cruise fron the 22nd on . i seen it on another thread. i went to her website and its true she has it listed on her calendar. she will be performing on aug 24 at 8 o clock

Sorry just trying to read some of the thread and see whats going on. Susan Egan was on our cruise last September and she was fantastic so it will be good to see her again

PAID OFF IN FULL!!!!!!!!! only thing better is doing the document dance and embarkation!

glad were not on the eastbound--seems like they are the guinnea pigs--windy, cold had to cancel deck party--maybe they will have more indoor activites for us!!!! hope we get to see some good movies (poc3?, shreck3?, RATATOUILLE?) doesn't sound like good swimming weather. . .

Another perk to westbound-- 25 hour days!!!!!! (sure beats 23 hours)

POC3 had the premier on the boat last Friday at 12.01am - and yes I did go and see it in my PJs as quite frankly it was late! Hopefully it will still be on this one as well!

I also read that post before it was taken off about the Magic taking on water, The person that posted it said they had a relative that was a CM on board. I'd like to have more information. Hopefully it's no big deal.

OK if it was I honestly didn't notice. We did have a bit of a psynami (can't spell) going on in the goofy pool the one day but didn't notice anything else.

I have been following the posts from MAGIC on her way over (Day 4) 3rd at sea today - but I am hoping to find out more about entertainment etc - - also whats up with pins this trip??

OK so pin wise they had an overal pin on the EB and then pins for each port which are all dated. You could preorder 1 per stateroom I belive and then you could put requests in for more if you need them. There was also a display card for the individual port pins.

i'm thinking about it so we can do the rainforest room. . . .

Not sure if you can do the package on the repo cruises. I was told that you couldn't add the package but not sure. It's probably not worth it if all you want is the rainforest you may as well just book for a week in the rainforest or pay by day

I think I saw this somewhere, but if our cabin is just a guarantee, when will we find out what cabin we are in?

I found out for the EB one about 3 weeks before but I think they might start sorting this out before this as I didn't book until late.

We keep talking about when to meet, but because of the overnight in Barcelona, it seems to be confused at best. Some folks want to meet immediately on boarding, others would prefer to wait until after the lifeboat drill. What do you think?

After the lifeboat drill would be good as we might have got to the boat by then
