Bringing food into Fantasmic

We have never seen Fantasmic and are a little worried about the long wait we read about. We are going the first week of November, 7 in our group with a 4-year-old. I'm a little concerned how we can occupy the 4-year-old for an hour of waiting. Can we buy food or snacks and bring them in with us for while we wait??

Im still wondering why people go so early. Again, overhype, like everything at Disney.

As many times as we have been (more than we can count) we have never had to show up more than 30 minutes early. We even went July 2 and showed up 3 minutes before the show and the ampitheatre was only 50% full.

I think especially in November, you'll only need to show up 30 minutes early.

i agree with 2 shows we went to in jan there was still 1 whole section empty at show time and others arriving up to show time...i wouldn't get there before 1/2 an hr, maybe 45 mins if you wan to eat dinner while waiting case anyone needs apotty break..you can bring in food and they sell food there in the back of the stadium

I'd rather show up 1-hour prior with my meal and have good seats - in the center - not too close ;).

We always get our supper at the counter service area outside of RnRC. You can get pizza, burgers, turkey legs, salads, etc. We just carry our trays right into the seating area and sit there for our meal. Bring a small toy or small drawing pad (my girls always could occupy themselves for a long time that way). There are restrooms and snack vendors in the Fantasmic area if you need them after your meal.

We've always enjoyed talking with others near us in the stands and then doing the wave toward the end of the waiting time. I've never regretted getting there early.

A friend of mine gave the pizza near RnRC a thumbs up. Like the other poster said they just took a tray and ate while waiting for the show. We have a dining package reserved but I'm not sure we will keep it. I would rather see the parade and take my chances on fantasmic. I waffle on this one daily. :confused3

We always go a little early also. We usually plan it out so that we are ready to eat. We usually get there about an hour early, get our food next to Rock N Roller Coater and make our way to the seats, and thank god they have food inside cause we always forget something... LOL :rotfl:
We usually sit, eat and start chatting with people and sometimes they have entertainment, but we never have sat around there bored. And we pin trade so that always takes up time.
I love Fantasmic!! I almost missed my plane once cause I HAD TO see Fantasmic one more time before I left. You should have seen us running to the car to get to the airport... lol :rotfl: But it was worth it!!! ;)
