Going home to BCV next week. We are flying and packing as light as possible, but I purchased 4 innertube floaties for SAB to bring with us.

Is it true the lifeguards will inflate them for us? Anyone done this before?

I hate to pack anything extra to inflate them if I don't need to, but also want to be sure we can use them once we are there. I heard the floaties were expensive to rent , I got these ones cheap after the end of our swimming season. Thanks for any advice..........

I don't think you can bring anything in a WDW resort pool except what the lifeguard/cm who gives you the towels had.

call the hotel and ask, some pools have strict rules.
i believe my kids wore the floaties on there arms the last time i was there.

and we're planning to bring our own "floaties". I do know that children cannot wear a lifevest down the big slide at SAB, and that you cannot stand at the "bottom" of the slide to assist them...I have read that others have brought their own pool toys or floaties, and that CM/Lifeguards have inflated them..

We're also staying at OKW, and was planning on using the toys there...guess I'll be giving both BCV and OKW a call...

Let us know if you find out anything..!!:D

I don't know if the rules have changed over the last three and half months, but when we were there towards the end of August we were allowed to use our own tubes to float in. I had bought an inner tube, a small raft (child sized) and some inflatable noodles before leaving home and we were never told not to use them at SAB. The inner tube and the noodles were see through, as are the ones you can rent there at the pool, so I don't know if that made a difference or not.
We inflated ours ourselves (we drove) using a pump we keep in our van.
I would suggest you call because since we returned I have read conflicting answers on the boards.
Good Luck!

I guess I didn't describe my floaties very well..........I purchased large, semi-transparent inner tube floats to use to lay in and float around in to lazy river type area.....or wherever. We are all self sufficient swimmers and don't use life vest or the arm floaties.

I read a post several months ago that said they charged $10 each to rent the tubes and it seemed so pricey........especially if we only want to swim for an hour or two. I paid less than $15 for 4 of them at the pool store at the end of Michigan summer.

I will try to call the beach club and post the information I receive. Thanks for your help everyone!

okay the rule I was quoting was on the sign - no one say it - so it seems like you will probably be okay!

I just got off the phone with someone in the recreation area at BCV. He was very nice and said they had inner tubes to rent, but I was welcome to bring my own and he would inflate them. He did ask me for a description of mine (one person, ring, large enough for 1 adult to sit in, semi transparent, colored plastic). It did sounded like very large, multiple person rafts weren't allowed.

Hope this helps anyone else bringing water toys to SAB! I will be trying them out next week at BCV! If I find out anything different I will try to post it when I return home to Michigan winter!

Judging from the description of the tube that you listed it looks like you will be just fine... The only real restrictions for tubes at SAB or any other pool on disney property is the long tubes that you lay on to work on your tan or any of the big animal tubes. As long as you follow those simple guidelines then you'll be ok.
