Bringing a friend?

I know this has been discussed before but since it never applied to me I never paid much attention. We've never taken a friend as vacation time is family time but this year my DH(big surprise) is the one who said it would be ok for DD to bring a friend.
We've booked a 3br villa at Cypress Pointe so the girls will have their own room and bathroom. We live 2 1/2 hrs away so obviously we'll drive there. We're planning to pay for transportation, hotel, all meals and snacks(except one dinner show) and maybe a minor souvenier or so. We'll ask the girls parents to pay for tickets to the parks and one dinner show totaling only $150. We will be there 5 days, arrival day, departure day, TL day, DQ day and one park day(MK/Epcot). What do you think? Does that sound reasonable? Would you pay everything for a guest or would you expect them to pay for tickets?

I'm looking for opinions on the finances of the situation as well as any words of wisdom you can share about bringing along a friend for DD12.

Seems very fair, even generous. I've also read posts about this and seem to recall most guests pay for tickets and meals.

When we bring single children along on our trips, we always pay for everything. Their parents only give them spending money. When we bring entire families along, they pay for their own meals and tickets. We use our DVC points of the lodging.

I'd hate for a kid not to be able to go along because Mom and Dad couldn't or wouldn't pay for their tickets.

Make sure you bring along a copy of the other family's insurance card and authorization to have the child treated in case of emergency.

Thanks for the replies :goodvibes

Anymore helpful info? Just looking for opinions or words of wisdom. Anybody got a "been there, done that" story? Have you taken a child's friend and how did it work out?

We did limit DD's choices to kids we know well and are comfortable with. The friend she picked will be a good fit.

We feel we're being generous by picking up the food/snacks/hotel and we didn't really think it was out of line to ask for the $150. Their kid will be able to do alot on that money, TL, DQ, 2 dinner shows, MK/Epcot...plus the food and snacks will probably be quite a bit and we're paying for that.
