Bring on the stretchy pants! *updated* A very merry mickey christmas!

Fan-freakin'-tastic blog! What a score with that costume. You sure got mileage out of it with the Duck a la Orange AND that Rat-a-tat-ratamouse! :thumbsup2

thanks PIO - love your language! before I left we were all "whatever - just a costume - doesn't matter - I'll probably toss it" and it turned out to be one of the trip highlights! I'm gonna have to frame that outfit now!

started reading your blog last night and loved it...

for us, the food was incidental to the sights, and we really only ate when our stomachs or general level of crabbiness demanded it...

now i'm thinking our 2012 trip should be all about the gastronomy :)

Oh - food - and I haven't even begun the food posts yet!! would be nice to think i inspired someone to something bigger (perhaps both metaphorically and physically)

I'm off to take my gout medicine

Hey

Great photos....
And I do think most of us only travel to wdw for the food:lovestruc

Have to agree about the Poseidon (adventure???).

We went in to shelter from pouring rain ... what a let down - I dont like to bag things out too much when they obviously invested a lot in building it - but, man o man that was painful!! :confused3

THANK YOU Battymum! I am vindicated.
Poseidon's Fury? More like 'Sugarglider's Fury'
I wonder if I would have tolerated it more if they sat me in a moving clamshell?

Oh - and thank the disney gods that the Prince Caspian thing has finally gone

Oh thank goodness we skipped it because I agree it looked so impressive from the outside and I had doubts about whether we were doing the right thing walking past it and giving it a miss :thumbsup2

oh i couldn't agree more on the poseidon's fury comments...

we actually did both that, and the sinbad show to fill in one of our days, as we thought they were supposed to all that...

turns out... they were cheesy, lame, hackneyed attempts at ... something anyways, but it wasn't good, or entertaining or anything even resembling worthwhile.

at least we had frozen butterbeer to get us through

Hi everyone

new post up on the food like substances I encountered.

go to Mrs. Banks and have a read

All I can say is that if you chose to visit the Golden Arches and then chose to order a southern Dried crispy whatever ..... two wrong turns do NOT ever make a right. CHICKEN and McD does NOT spring to mind. :sad2:

EXACTLY - learnt my lesson!

New post up on Mrs. Banks - but it is a non-TR post.

Abigail Disney, grand-niece of Walt/grand daughter of Roy, was in Australia this week - she is a film maker and philanthropist. So I am highlighting this for my Zonta readers. Her documentary is being broadcast on SBS 2 next Saturday FYI

I briefly caught her on 774 chatting with John Faine. She sounded amazing. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with the crappyness of Poseidon!

I'm loving the food porn! Also how cool was your interaction with Mickey!?

Keep it coming!

Yum, that Tonga Toast looks divine!!
Loving your blog and enjoying your sense of humour!!

Love the V&A post. It looked really yummy but I think it is too fancy for me to ever try.

that V&A post makes me want to go there, asap.

you said they have a separate vege menu? hrmm. we're going to wdw soon. maybe i shall look into this.

yes. hrmm. maybe i shall.

thank you for the gastronomy inspiration :)

have a look on the V&A website in the menus - the veg menu is displayed. I don't know if they change that one as frequently as the standard. Also V&A will accommodate all dietary requirements and usually contact all diners 5 days before to check and discuss any needs. :thumbsup2

So it will suit your new lifestyle when you get there next year!

omg, omg, omg. that looks a-mazing!! carlo is more of a buffet fan than a gourmet dining fan, so i might have to start the brain washing (and saving up the $) pretty soon :)

I really enjoyed your V&A review! We're thinking of having our wedding night dinner there (just the two of us) and I think your review just convinced me to go for it.

I'll have to go back through your blog now and plan some more of our meals ;) (I'm so glad I'm reading this after dinner!)
