Okay, my mom wants me to bring her home a Kringla and Schoolbread from Norway's Bakery. She tells me to just pack some tupperware! :) Any way to guarentee they will stay fresh? I know the Kringla dries out fairly quickly. I took it back to the resort once and it wasn't as good as when we ate it fresh from the bakery.

Anyone have any food packing tips? How to wrap it to ensure freshness once you get home. I'm guessing I'll purchase it the night before I leave and will give it to my mom the next day so we're talking about no more than 2 days, 3 days tops!

Thanks,

Put something moist in the tupperware to keep the pastry moist - either a damp paper towel or one of those brown sugar terra cotta things. I think a damp paper towel would be the easiest. :)

Don't put it in the fridge, if you have one, because refridgeration temperatures encourage staling.
