I love you guys, watch you regularly for years but this new segment "What We Love about " is just over produced and boring. Feel like I was watching a dvd that disney would send in the mail to book a room.

Aside from Kevin's emotional contemporary review, these segments are no where near as good as 7 on 7

You have to realize, part of what everyone enjoys with your shows is the spontaneity and how you guys feed of each other. I also enjoyed your negative aspects of the resorts you would highlight in your 7 on 7 segments.

Please hear my plea and bring back 7 on 7 for other resort segments !

I actually enjoy it more than the 7 in 7. It's amazingly filmed and edited, and I do enjoy that the team is focusing a bit more on the positive aspects that Disney has done. It seems like, in the past few months, it's been a lot of negatives - cutbacks, Shanghai, etc, so it's nice to see the other side.

Though, I do imagine the next round of reviews might be more of a traditional "Here's what we like, here's what we dislike"

I appreciate your feelings, and support your right to voice them, but I'm among those very much enjoying this new format/presentation, and expressed that in several other threads with other posters. Sorry they don't appeal to you.

I think they purposely wanted to do something different. I mean, if you like the 7 in 7s you can go back and watch the 7 in 7s. I get what you are saying but I personally like that they switched it up, and clearly lots of people are enjoying it which is cool - it's why they make 31 flavors of ice cream

I think the only confusion was associating it with the 7 in 7. I agree with the OP, that this is nothing like the 7 in 7 at all, except that it deals with disney resorts. "What we love" is exactly what it says it is, stories about what they love about the resorts, while 7 in 7, to me, was always more of a "review" or a description of their experiences at a hotel for a one night stay. 7 in 7 contains both the pluses and negatives of their experience at a resort, while "What we love" will focus only on the positive. Don't expect a rant about a poor check in process on these videos. I think these videos stand alone on their own.

Well said and explained, and good points!!

I think Pete mentioned he was replacing 7 on 7 with this new segment

If you want to see an infomercial fine but why get rid of a great show

These resorts are constantly changing and I enjoyed their extensive reviews

I watched all 4 videos today and I enjoyed them. I liked the 7 in 7's too, but agree that they should do something different this year. I would like to see at least one video on areas they think the resorts could improve.

If you want 7 in 7s they have done every resort at least once in the past as far as I know you can go back and watch or listen to them. The resorts aside from Poly, and now WL haven't changed a whole lot other than maybe some simple room upgrades.

This new what we love about... Is completely different and gets back to why everyone loves Disney rather than oh this sucked that was just okay this could've been better. In my opinion these new resort videos they put out this past week are some of the best videos ever done by the dis.

I agree that the new videos have nothing to do with 7 in 7. Those are reviews. These are not.

My only complaint with the new series is that they haven't posted them to the iTunes feed so we can listen to them. From the bit I watched, they are mainly audio-centric. I'd much rather listen than watch. I've said the same about the Daily Fix, also pretty much an all-audio show, but they've said they won't be releasing the audio feed which is a shame. I think a lot more people would "consume" this content if it was available as a podcast.

Folks, I'm quite alright with them trying new material but don't get rid of something as good as 7 on 7 for this feel good puff piece

It's bad enough they took away the Trip which I enjoyed but now 7 on 7.

I feel like recent programming has been really catering to newbies. I watched the last dreams unlimited and they talked about the most basic stuff like how there something called magical express

Let's not ignore the diehards or more experienced followers who have been loyal over the years

You guys probably already know this, but focusing on what's positive is my very favorite thing in the world. I feel like there's so much negativity all the time and if we're going to use energy, it might as well be in a positive way. I know that when I hear so much negative about Disney all the time, it affects whether I'm wanting to go there or not - I shake it off lightning fast though.

Now, don't get me wrong, there is a place for the 'review' type of videos where the team shares both positives and negatives like in 7 in 7s, but I believe the intent of these 'What We Love' ones was to share what really gets the magic going for everyone; that warm and fuzzy feeling when you walk into that one Resort. I found them so refreshing and it warmed my heart that some of these 'tough guys' still have a soft spot for certain things at Disney. All of you diehards surely have a soft spot too, no?

I love any podcast or video about the resorts...especially the deluxes!

"7 in 7s" or "What We Love"...it's like comparing apples to oranges. Maybe the DIS podcast is not a good fit for the OP. But I like all of it!

You've been loyal for years but only have 3 posts. Or you signed up under a new name because you are willing to complain about free content, but only if people don't know who you really are.

Not everyone is diehard like we are on the boards and not everyone who watches the shows are on the boards. Dreams is a show explaining how Disney vacations and how many other vacations work. You can't just assume everyone watching the show knows how everything works.

I've been listening since close to the beginning, and I don't feel that they have ever(or are now) catering to newbies. Not every episode has been up my alley -but I still enjoy the camaraderie, and pick up on stuff that interests me. For me it's less about pure content. Pete, Corey, and the rest if the team have gotten them this far -I think I'll trust them on this one ... I also enjoyed the new videos.

And there is no truth to the rumor that they changed because people kept calling it 7 "on" 7 .....

Exactly. OP, you seem to be intent on comparing these two things and they aren't meant to be compared. The 7 in 7 series is designed to give a general overview and brief review of each property featured. The "What We Love" series is simply the various team members sharing favorite memories and impressions of the resorts. That's not the same thing at all. One doesn't replace the other. Pete has said various times recently that he wanted to get back in touch with what they all love about Disney. That's part of why he assigned the team to start spending time in the parks. I think the "What We Love" shows are in addition to, not in place of the 7 in 7 shows. I have no doubt that they will continue to do hotel reviews as part of the show. They just did something different this time around. It's fine if you don't like it, but clearly a lot of people do.
You've been loyal for years but only have 3 posts.
How frequently someone posts to the boards has nothing to do with how long they've been listening/viewing the shows. I'm sure there are loads of listeners/viewers who have never even visited the boards.

True, but it would be much faster to just email Pete directly than to create a profile and start a thread on these boards to give feedback.
