We're going tonight (Wed the 22nd) and i dont know if i should be having the kiddos bring trick or treat bags/pumpkins. do they trick or treat and get "stuff"? Thanks!
from past reports, they will give us bags there....so we didn't bring any.
however, yesterday i did buy a Mickey's ToT bag (like one of those reusable grocery bag totes) at the park. I think it was 5.17 or something odd like that.
they give you a treat bag. It looks small at first, but when ours was 3/4 full that thing was HEAVY! I heard that some people bring an extra bag, and they dump all their candy into that- if the cast member sees you with an empty bag, supposedly they give you more.
We ended up not bringing a different bag - the one they give out is just fine. We got way too much candy (but the handfuls that they hand out are the cheaper stuff, not the chocolate bars )
We went to Target and bought the string backpacks for the boys. One was a pumpkin head and the other a ghost. We wanted to do a lot of other stuff (like ride rides) and that way they could walk around with the bags on their backs. Unfortunately, even those got so heavy the strings dug into their shoulders. I was glad we had them though. This was last year....they still haven't eaten 80% of the candy. I'll be throwing it out soon.
We will be in DL October 30th thru November 2nd, but won't be at the party this year. Since they didn't really eat the candy and don't like to stand in line to greet characters, it didn't make sense. We are going to see the play 'Wicked' for the third time instead....my sons are 14 and 11...
