Hi! We got back from our three nights at Cheyenne last week, and thought we'd give a quick run-down of the pros and cons!

Pros:

It was our first time at Cheyenne and we loved it - we had the best room (in Running Bear - closest to the parks) which had a flat screen TV and seemed like it had been refurbished. The theming, bar and breakfast at the hotel were fantastic and there were characters there :D

Toy Story Playland was brilliant - we went on all the rides, and RC Racer was our fave. We managed to walk straight onto it with no queue which was great!

Queue times in general were very short, we walked straight on to several rides, and I think the longest we queued for was about 25 mins to ride Crush's Coaster (well worth the wait!). We love thrill rides and were really pleased that it wasn't very busy.

The weather was amazing - really hot and sunny for most of the time :)

We spotted a hidden Mickey made of jellyfish on the wall in Crush's Coaster!

Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show was brill - the food was really yummy (although there was far too much!) and our waiter seemed like he was trying to get us drunk the way he kept the beer coming! We also got a really good deal using the French website - only E29,00 each - so thanks for letting us know about that!

We had lunch at Walt's for the first time and the food was really incredible, we both had the duck - yum! They also seemed to forget to charge us for the bottle of wine we had, so it was rather a cheap lunch with the AP discount!

We went to Cafe Mickey for the first time, and it was so fun! We went quite late, about 10pm, but there were still characters there, and they were brilliant! I loved meeting Tigger :) I had seafood risotto (called Ariels Favorite or something) and it was really high quality and delicious. My other half had lasagne which he enjoyed, and the garlic bread was good too.

We also went to Inventions for the first time, which was seriously yummy!

EVERYTHING was amazing :D This was our 6th time there and we still found so many new rides and restaurants!

Cons:

We had to come home :(

No complaints at all with our Disney stay, driving back to Dunkerque in the dark and pouring rain we found the roads to be very badly lit and quite scary, and our ferry crossing was a bit choppy! We also got stuck on it for 45 mins before Norfolkline would let us off - will probably choose Eurotunnel in future.

Not really a pro or con, but just a note about smoking in the park as I've seen lots of people mention it on here before:
It really didn't bother us that people were smoking - it is France after all! However we don't have kids so can't comment too much. I did find it funny though that when I located a designated smoking area to have a cigarette myself, I was the only one using it hehe!

Christine and James xxx :cheer2:

Glad you both had a great time, and really glad you liked the Cheyenne - it's my second home so I'm always pleased when people speak well of it!!

Another happy DLP visitor, always good to hear.
That's very interesting about the refurbed room at Cheyenne. All going in my mental notebook of hotel-decision-making for next year!
We're going to Walts and Cafe Mickey on our next trip so always happy to hear good reports of these.

It was great seeing the flat screen in the Cheyenne bedroom, especially with a funky welcome message like we got:

Sounds like you had a great time :goodvibes

I'd really like a room close to the park, as we always walk back, is Running Bear one of the ones where you pay a supplement do you know ? Was thinking of contacting the hotel to ask if we could have one in that area, but I'm not paying extra for it.

Really looking forward to our next stay at Cheyenne. :)

We paid for a standard room and I phoned up 5 days before(as suggested on here, thanks again!) and the guy spoke very good English and was not only put us in Running Bear but also in a room on that side of the building so we were even closer!

The call was only 0.5p a min as I used one of those call abroad cheap sites(can't remember which one..)

I took a few pictures of the room, I'll get them up soon!

:cool1:

Think we were there at around the same time as we had similar queue times, it was brilliant! It rained a bit during our stay though :( you were lucky!

Welcome back, sounds like you had a lovely time:goodvibes
