It was FABULOUS!!!!!!! We bought into DVC earlier this year (starting with a 160 BCV contract and a 140 OKW contract via resale, then add-on-titus hit me and we added two small VWL contracts directly via DVC this summer), and prior to this trip we have only stayed at OKW and loved the place. We splured on this trip and had a 2BR with just the three of us -- DH, me and DS (20 months). The unit was in great condition, we got our non-smoking request met. Our unit overlooked the courtyard between Beach Club and BCV. The whole experience of staying in that Beach/Yacht Club - Boardwalk area was so wonderful. We really felt like we were at a gorgeous resort (as opposed to condo) amidst the Disney magic. And it was great being able to walk to Epcot in 5 minutes. DH enjoyed taking jogs around the lake at night. And DS had a great time chasing ducks around. Even before the trip ended DH asked me if it was okay if we just stayed at BCV from now! And he said the next time he'd like me to book a 10 night trip instead of just 7 nights. :teeth:

Beca, I totally feel what you feel when I walk through the BC/BCV grounds. I just love the setting, the decor, etc. I cannot wait to return. Unfortunately, we've got our 2006 vacations set and for various reasons I could not fit WDW onto the list. :( So we've got to wait for 2007 before we can return to BCV. I'm hoping by then we'll be visiting with two kids instead of one.

I almost forgot to mention we love the BC Market Place. The make your-own salad is a great deal. The chicken is so tender we had a salad made three times. The sandwiches are tasty. And the mango and pistachio gelato flavors are unbelieveable. We love mango and pistachio flavored ice creams and sherberts and we've tried many brands over the years. None come close to the intense true-flavor of the gelato at the Market Place.

Glad your first BCV was so magical. I love it too. 2007 will be here before you know it! :cool1:

So glad you enjoyed it, and glad you got to sample what I think is one of the best things ever-that pistachio gelato.
What # unit were you in? I've stayed in that courtyard area twice, just above the Ariel Statue. The second time, I requested and got that same room because I'd enjoyed it so much-watching all the comings and goings.
I've always loved BCV-glad to hear you did too!

We had our first trip home the week before you and had the same sentiments! Glad you had such a great trip. Good luck growing your family!

We had #207. It was a terrific location for DS as he loved hanging out there to look at the ME buses coming and going.

That's such a fun area! I was in #305, just one floor up and one room over from you. I even took a picture of the view and have it next to my computer. The only bad part was that you could watch all the people on the porch across from you eating their gelato. It always made me envious for my next gelato "fix".

Sounds wonderful. I feel a BCV add on may be in our future a few years down the road.

I'm always glad to hear about people who throughly enjoyed the resort they stayed at. I'm so glad you had a great time.

Scotch,
How difficult was it to get a 2 bedroom at BCV during Dec. 10-17? That is the time of year we'd want to go (looking into purchasing DVC).

I booked at 7 months out using our OKW points. This was a Saturday to Saturday (checkout) stay -- when I called the Sunday and Monday nights were not available. So I booked two separate reservations: one ressie for Saturday night and one ressie for the Tuesday through Friday nights. I got on the waitlist for Sunday and Monday (I requested a separate waitlist for each night as opposed to waiting for a single block Sunday and Monday to open up). The Monday night became available weeks later, then the Sunday night became available. So I think if you are patient and you book right at the 7 months period, it should work for you.

That said, lots of folks here are predicting that there are way more folks buying Saratoga Springs for trade into other DVCs than those buying to use at SS. Because SS is such a giagantic resort and BCV is so small (the second smallest amongst the WDW-DVC), many suspect as SS approaches sell out it would be tougher to book at non-home resort during the 7 or less months out period for popular times. And I think that week is fairly popular amongst DVC'ers because of the lower points cost, Xmas decorations/events, and reduced crowds. But who really knows?
