Fantastic dinners at BOG and CRT-they have upped their game at both locations.

The Plaza-the Caramel Apple Pie a la Mode-I don't know how long it has been on the menu but it is the best dessert I have ever had at WDW-even better than Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake, my previous favorite.

Delicious salmon at Chefs de France, Rose & Crown and Yak & Yeti. Also the duck at Yak & Yeti-really everything we had there in two meals was awesome.

Tiffin's-food was very good but the beet salad was the smallest serving of food I have ever seem-more like an amuse-bouche than a proper appetizer.

Artist Point, HBD, Shula's and Yachtsman's were amazing as always.

Homecoming' had ups and downs-the fried chicken and donuts with mashed potatoes was stellar-some of the other sides-coleslaw, mac and cheese and cheddar biscuits-not very good.

Sci-Fi had much better food than I remembered-the salmon BLT was delicious.

Le Cellier-poutine was outstanding, the steaks not so much-very fatty.

Lots of good choices at F&G-Frushi at Hanami, Seared Pork Tenderloin and Watermelon Salad at Urban Farm, Lamb Chop and Berry Buckle at Berry Basket, everything at The Smokehouse, Northern Bloom (especially the scallops and beef tenderloin) and Primavera

Biggest surprise of the trip-Tonys!!! We had avoided it since our second trip many years ago and I just booked it this year to get the reserved viewing for the parade. It was honestly not bad! We had the calamari, the fried zucchini and the steaks with the cannoli for dessert. They were all very edible-Lol-which is high praise considering our last experience there and all of the bad reviews. Certainly better that I expected.

Worst meal-it pains me to say but Cape May Cafe breakfast was awful. No more made to order crepes, everything had a weird aftertaste and the characters were completely dull. I can honestly say it is the only time we have ever felt uncomfortable around them-they were unfriendly and completely disengaged. After being one of our absolute favorite, must do every year meals, it was horrible.

Good to hear since I will be doing many of these restaurants in a couple of weeks. Especially like that you liked Tony's. I too am doing a lunch for the parade viewing, which is the most important day of my trip! My nieces will be in the parade, thus the entire reason we are going to WDW.

What did you get at Tiffins? I glances the menu and it didnt look super appealing to me. I ended up with Tusker House to get the ROL package, but can easily change as there is still plenty of availability at Tiffins.

Sad to hear about Cape May. Its our last breakfast, as we will be staying at the YC. I wont change because its super convenient and we leave for the airport at 11am, but is there anything we should avoid? Im not a fan of aftertastes!!! Did you try Captains Grill or Beaches and Cream? What did you get at Yachtsman?

Thanks

At Tiffins we had the mussles, bread service and the roasted beet salad for apps and the Waygu Strip Loin and Short rib for dinner. All of it was very good but pricey. I had one drink and my daughter had a beer (which she did not finish-Lol) The bill for the two of us was around $210 without the cake but with the annual pass discount and the cake it came to $260 something.

The chorizo eggs, the fritatta and the potatoes at CMC were all very strange. Captain's Grill has amazing chocolate waffles and lemon ricotta hotcakes. The breakfast buffet is good too.

Yachstman-we both had shrimp cocktail, I had the strip steak, my daughter had the filet and for dessert we had the chocolate cake and the lemon blueberry cheesecake.

We have eaten at Beaches and Cream many previous trips. I liken it to diner food-decent but nothing special.

Can you give some details on your CRT experience? I just booked it and have heard not so great reviews and we're going on my daughters 10th birthday so I want it to be special.

Wow - you ate good! LOL! Thanks for sharing your reviews.

The Beef and Shrimp entree was one of the best meals we have ever had at Disney in 17 trips, and we do quite a bit of dining. I was literally shocked by how good it was. We have eaten at CRT every trip (sometimes twice) and the food was the best this time. The charcuterie starter was also very good. I had the carrot cake and my daughter had the mousse for dessert. We both thought the cake was better.

We just took basic pics with the princesses since my daughter is 21 and wd had been many times but we watched them interacting with younger children (we had a window table so we could see the whole room) and they were very engaged and paid a lot of attention to them.

If this is your first meal there you will find it special no matter what, especially since it is your daughter's birthday. Definitely go!

I wanted to add, if you love lamb absolutely order it at BOG. It was one of the best lamb dishes I have ever eaten and I order lamb quite often if it is on the menu.

Thanks for this! Ive had my eye on the chocolate waffles for a while! Im looking forward to it. Ill keep it simple and light at Cape May. Thanks for the heads up. Would hate to not feel good considering we will be heading for the airport and not arrive home until 8 hours after the meal!

We're on the DxDDP, so cost isnt a big issue. I like Short Rib, should I swap my Tusker House ressie for Tiffins? Was it amazing except for the price? I have 3 credits for each of us held aside for last minute swaps to signatures/hated a meal and can grab quick service after/family is super hungry late at night!

We ate dinner at Tusker for the ROL package as well as Tiffins so I can compare the two for you. Tusker, where we have eaten many times before, was as good as it has always been food wise but it is very chaotic and noisy. If you are in the mood for a more relaxed upscale atmosphere-go to Tiffins. It is absolutely gorgeous-the decor is really special and stunning and it was sooo quiet and peaceful and a great break from the noise and crowds.

Thank you! Yes, I prefer a quieter dinner! We do character breakfasts every morning, but like to keep dinner more "grown up"! Ive never been to Tusker House for lunch or dinner, but have been plenty of times for breakfast. I think I will switch to Tiffins. Ive never been and who knows if/when ...ok, Ill be realistic, WHEN we will be back to WDW. My youngest is now 13, my older boys dont even want to come anymore and I get the eye rolls from my husband every time I mention Disney. But...I can still convince him every couplof years to go....for the sake of the children! I will admit though, Im not getting younger and I have a lot lot of destinations still to do on my bucket list!
