DH and I were at WDW staying at the Polynesian from Oct 1-6. I didn't take pictures of our food, so I won't do a detailed review. Hopefully these short ones will help anyone out trying to make some decisions.

Oct 1 -
Lunch - Cap'n Cooks - I had the pork nachos and they were fantastic. DH had a cheeseburger and fries - he liked it fine. I had a Minnie Mouse cupcake - the icing was yummy, but the actual cake was really dried out. DH had a white chocolate chip cookie that was really good.

Dinner - Biergarten - We were seated just as the band started, so that was really great. The buffet was really good. We really liked the pretzel rolls and sausages. Our server wasn't very good, but it wasn't a huge deal.

Oct 2 -
Breakfast - Cap'n Cooks - I had Tonga Toast for the first time and I didn't really care for it - I don't think there was anything wrong with it, but it didn't live up the hype. I got bacon with it and it was pretty much inedible - it was so overcooked. DH had the bounty platter and most of his food was overcooked too. I probably should have taken the bad food up and asked for replacements, but we just ate some and didn't worry too much about it.

Lunch - Be Our Guest - We had a FP for BOG and it was totally worth checking every single day for weeks for the FP. The restaurant was gorgeous and the food was delicious. DH and I both had the Roast Beef Sandwich. I had the Master's Cupcake and DH had the Strawberry one.

Dinner - 'Ohana - A fantastic experience. We got there a little early and sat at the bar for a couple drinks. The bartender was very friendly and helpful in helping my DH pick out a beer. Once we were seated our servers were great and the timing of the food was perfect. All the food was cooked just right. This was our favorite dinner of the trip.

Oct 3 -
Breakfast - Kona Café - A big disappointment. The food wasn't very good. My eggs were so runny I couldn't eat them and the potatoes were terrible. Our server offered to get me something else, but by the time she came and offered, DH was almost done so I declined. She didn't offer to take it off the bill, which is what I would have preferred.

Lunch - American Pavillion at Epcot - DH is a boring eater, so he just wanted to eat here instead of one of the more ethnic pavilions. We both had burgers and fries, they were great - very hot and fresh. We got the Rocky Road desert. I LOVED it, DH thought it was too sweet.

Dinner - Cape May - The food was fantastic. The buffet was well stocked and the food was hot. The biggest negative here was that a toddler screamed at the top of her lungs for 45 straight minutes. It was so bad that other little kids were covering their ears. I felt that the management should have asked the family to take the child out. I understand that they didn't want their dinner ruined, but their child caused lots of other people to have their dinner ruined.

Breakfast - Cap'n Cooks - DH had the croissant breakfast sandwich and loved it. I just had a bagel with cream cheese.

Lunch - Backlot Express - We came it and it seemed very busy, but the lines moved quickly and it was very efficient. I had chicken tenders and fries and DH had his usual cheeseburger and fries. We both had the seasonal cupcake which was shaped like a Minnie Mouse as a witch and was carrot cake. It was so good!!!!

Dinner - 1900 Park Fare - The buffet was decent. Nothing was particularly bad, but nothing was just fantastic either. I did really like the bread pudding on the desert bar. We had a really good sever and the characters were really fun.

Breakfast - Cap'n Cooks - Dh loved the breakfast sandwich so much, he had it again and I had a chocolate chip muffin.

Lunch - Restaurantasaurus - It was fine for burgers. The place is really large, so there is plenty of air conditioned seating. There was a toppings bar, which was nice and you could refill your drinks. The décor/theming is really cute.

Dinner - Chef Mickeys - A great experience. The food was yummy and the characters were fantastic. My favorite thing was the soup - it was a chicken corn chowder that was really good. DH loved the carving station - he went back for several pieces of beef. The ice cream machine was a fun addition for dinner.

Oct 6 -
Breakfast - Cap'n Cooks - DH had the breakfast sandwich again and I had another bagel.

Lunch - Columbia Harbor House - We were out of dining credits by this time, so I had to pay OOP for this one. We had one fish platter and one shrimp. It was really good, but it was sticker shock to pay $25 for that and 2 drinks. CHH always seemed really disorganized. Everytime I have eaten here, they have gotten something wrong with my order. They gave me the wrong drinks this time. We sat upstairs and that was really nice.

Any questions about any of the places we ate, feel free to ask.

Thanks so much for your reviews! It's disappointing to hear about your bad Kona breakfast, hope it was a fluke and not that they're going downhill. But sounds like a great trip overall!
