Brief Comparison of RCCL Oasis of the Seas v. Disney Fantasy from Disney Loving Family

i had forgot about this! we booked 'my time' dinning which means we will not be locked into a specific time for seating like on dcl. we can show up when we show up. no rushing. plus, it will be when we are hungry, not when dcl thinks we will be hungry. as gorgeous as the dinning rooms are on dcl, as wonderful as their dining shows are, my time dining is something they don't have. i think we are going to enjoy that.

My time Dining on the Oasis worked out great! When we went to dinner one night in the dining room we just showed up at a time that was convenient for us and we were seated at a table by ourselves within 5 minutes.

Thank you, OP, for writing this review. We love DCL, but I'm so excited for my first RCCL Cruise in April on the Allure. I've read more trip reports and reviews on the AOS than I would admit. Based on those, your comparison seams very fare. The thing I read over and over is the oasis class ships feel like the least crowded in the industry. Can't wait for my first hand experience.

The thing I'm finding so amusing are threads on other boards by loyal royals that they are jumping ship to MSC or others over price. ...yet here we are jumping to RCCL. I've watched fares closely for the last 4 or 5 years, and I've seen big price jumps in all lines.

Thank you for your trip report! I sailed on RCCL years ago and thought is was fun but once I sailed on DCL she stole my heart. I'm thinking of giving RCCI another chance in the future. The new ships sound very nice!

We booked the Dream for this coming September for $1700 for two of us but I can get the same cruise on RCL for almost $1000 less and I am really, really debating it. This review is extremely helpful. Thank you!
