Well I will begin by saying this was our second cruise and it was incredible. It was my wife and I and no kids and we had a great time. I had read on here about kids running around unattended, service not so great, food not so great, and the ship not so great, well let me tell you, they were wrong. Yes there were kids, but they were pretty well behaved, service was great, food was great and the fun was great.
My one and only complaint is some of the guests. I have either never noticed, or been in such proximity to some of the rudest and most unhappy people. WHy on earth would you spend that kind of money to go on a ship and be miserable the whole time. The kids were whiny, but when you pay attention, the parent was as whiny or even worse! OUr cruise actually had some clouds and wind a couple of days including castaway, but I overheard a lady at CC that said it was too cold, but if the wind were not blowing she would be too hot. Now come on. I also heard one person in particular complaining about the character greetings and getting "left out" by them on 2 occasions. Well, later that day, I saw this family actually throw a 2 year old fit for one fo the characters to stay and take a picture of them. Seems harmless enough right? No they just walked up, when the character had been there the whole scheduled time and 10 extra minutes, nobody in line, they left, well the family was walking down the hall and threw the fit about them never being out when they said. The character ended up taking the picture with them, but I would not have it it were me. I am not sure how some of the cast members do it, I think I would have to tell some of these people to get off the boat if they are so unhappy and hard to please. Even with everything that is done, some people are looking for the scratch in the paint so they can complain instead of noticing that the entire ship was just painted and they are the ones that ran into the door and scratched it.
And adults that the rules do not apply to them. We had late seating and there were several nights that there were people 10-15 minutes late, but there were a couple of times that there were people coming in after 9 (30 minutes late) now come on, servers have to kill themselves for these people and they are going to be there very ones that say the food was cold or not fast enough.
Our servers were great, Mizar and Jana, and they made sure we never left hungry!
The Christmas decorations on the ship are amazing, not sure how they can make it that much better, but they do.
Quick note for adults, if you have not done it, the last night of the cruise, after the till we meet again party, the adult entertainment staff put on a quick show of their own in Diversions. Whatever you have to do, GO TO IT!! IT is hilarious. I am not sure when i have laughed that hard. Dave and Nigel and the others make it one to remember!!'
That is about as quick as I can make it right now and still get in a few points, but overall a great cruise, a few waves, some wind did not hamper our trip one bit!!
