Bridge value of 2 day "package ticket"

I have a 2 day unused ticket from a package which I didn't use as I have an annual pass. Can I use this to renew my AP? Must I wait until my AP expires to renew to "bridge" this ticket? Can I somehow use the 2 day ticket to enter the park and then renew while I have an active AP on my magic band? (go to ticket booth and have them put the 2 day ticket first on band) This seems extremely time consuming etc for the savings and I don't even know what the savings would be. Normally I would wait until my AP expires in January to renew but we are going in December and I could use Apple Pay until Dec 31st to renew to save 10% using Discover card. I am making myself loony trying to maximize this Apple Pay deal!! Please tel me if I am asking for trouble and I will just renew in December and hold the "package ticket" for next time. TIA

You can renew 60 days in advance. I don't know if it would be worthwhile to use your 2 day ticket while you still have an active pass. Someone with more knowledge about that may know. But I wanted to say I have my discover card linked to apple pay and we are going in November. I plan to buy 2 AP's for my daughters and renew my sons AP while we are there so I can use apple pay to pay in person. I already renewed my DH and mine a month ago.
