$500 for one hour in the dentists chair but WORTH IT.

just got my pictures back and BOY AM I GLAD I DID IT!

money well spent!

:)

I was thinking of getting it done... Now you convinced me:thumbsup2

Wow! I thought I was the only bride that thought teeth whitening is a must! DF thinks so too! How far in advance did you have them whitened and what was the process you used?

Thanks!

Jenny

I personally use GoSmile. Its only $100 and you can buy it at Sephora. Jessica Simpson is their spokesperson. It really works and is so simple to use. You can order it online as well. I do it about once a year.

i did it the WEEK before the wedding and then avoided soda and dark foods until after the ceremony

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I did it 3 weeks before the wedding...it was torture to abstain from staining foods (esp. coffee!), but so worth it...

btw, you can do coffee and cola, just use a straw...

I need to do it again, but this time I might just do whitestrips...

I was considering this but I think I need some serious work doing too, my teeth are atrocious!

Did any of you guys have any sensitivity issues due to the whitening? I have used the whitestrips before, but I can only use one strip everyday or everyother day. I can't do two strips a day as they tell you to do, because it makes my teeth really sensitive.

I have to second this - it makes a world of difference! I have bad teeth - they don't look bad, they're just in bad shape. I had a couple fillings that you could see the metal when I smiled :sad2: I went to my dentist a couple months before the wedding and he recommended the White Strips followed by bonding. He said in my case they weren't so yellow as to need the professional stuff and the White Strips would do the job. Yes, it was sensitive at first, but I pushed through because I knew it would be worth it. After one round of the White Strips my teeth looked great, so he matched bonding material to my new white teeth, removed my old fillings, bonded them, and they look fantastic! DH didn't think I needed to spend the money but when it was all done he had to admit my smile is SO much better :teeth: I look at pictures taken from the same angle from my bridal shower and my wedding and the difference is amazing!

Im doing it now & it makes my teeth REALLY sensative....the dr told me to use sensodine & if its bad enough to put it in my trays & let it sit on my teeth

I agree though....WHAT GREAT RESULTS....worth every penny

Im gonna do it again in dec:thumbsup2

I asked my dentist about this a couple weeks ago, and she told me that on the side, she works for the UNC School of Dentistry, and when they did a clinical trial, the Crest Premium White Strips worked best, sometimes even better than what you can get in the dentist. She suggested that when you use it, you use 1 strip for 1 hour a day, not 2 strips twice a day--the bleach gets in there better and you actually use 1/2 as much--saving you money!

if you really want results. go to your dentist!

they have a take home kit you can do at night. but you have to be really diligent about it. i think it's 45 minutes a day

or you can sit in the chair and be done with it in a little over an hour

my teeth were DEFINITELY sensitive for the next two days. out of nowhere your teeth would feel this painful zinger.

but that went away, and again, it was really, really worth it! esp for fotos!

I personally have hated the Crest White Strips every time I've used them... they get really gummy (especially the bottom ones) and I feel like the saliva washes them away. I wouldn't recommend them...
