I'm hoping someone will be able to help me!

I decided to do deep orange or copper as the color for my bridal party for my wedding, and after seeing the Disney Dream wedding on the Food Network I fell in love with the Bridesmaid dresses!!! Such a pretty cut and color and I think it would work perfect with the white decor with green accents!! :goodvibes

I was wondering if anyone recognizes them? I know that her dress was custom made by Paloma Blanca, but I can't find what designer did the BM dresses anywhere. :confused3 Has anyone seen them before or a similar style?? Did anyone happen to see if they mentioned the design in the Brides Magazine with the article?

I figured if anyone could help me, it would be someone on the DISBoards!!!! :thumbsup2

I usually just lurk as I am not actually engaged but I had to respond to this one!

The color looks so similar to a dress I am wearing in a wedding tomorrow. The style is different though. The dress I am wearing is a Bill Levkoff in Burnt Orange. It is very pretty in person!

Good Luck! :)

pooh98378- OMG I think that might actually be it!!!! I can't believe it because I've looked at Bill Levkoff's dresses a billion times, but I guess I've always overlooked that one (I think because it's shown in black). How exciting!!!

emilymad- Is that the same dress you were talking about? How does the Burnt Orange look in person? I'm hoping it will be almost metalic and reflect a few different shades.

StitchBride- Can you re-post the link? Or just the style #? I'd love to see the dress you were talking about!!

What do you all think of burnt orange with the simply chic collection (white with touches of green?)

Also, if you all could help me with this other problem I love you forever!!! ;) I need advice. One of my Bridemaids (actually my future sister-in-law) told me that she cannot possibly wear a strapless dress because her "girls" are too large up top. The problem is that I have always loved the way strapless dresses looked, and 6 out of the 7 other potential maids have no problem with them and actually prefer to wear strapless! What should I do? :confused3 Is it really that difficult for someone with a large top to wear strapless? Do they make support systems for this problem? She said she could only wear sleeves or thick straps, but I dont like the look of either, and neither to the other maids... what do I do!? I don't want to be bridezilla, but at the same time I want to like the design as well!

DF says to ignore his sister and just go with what we decide (or I decide :thumbsup2 hehe) we like, even if it is strapless. His reasoning is that if we let her force us into a particular style of dress she'll keep going with comments and decisions on the rest of the wedding (for example, i changed my colors multiple times because she kept telling me that pink and burgundy and green don't look good on brown people (like herself). At the same time, I can't tell if that's the annoying little brother aspect of him coming out... plus I don't want to hurt her feelings or make her feel uncomfortable the whole night, otherwise I know I'll never live it down!!

I just don't know what to do :sad2:

A huge piece of advice! You will NEVER make all of your bridesmaids happy. Just do what you think is the best. Have her try the dress on, and see how they all feel in it. I actually think that color would be a beautiful touch. Maybe they could tie it in the to Simply Chic collection with ribbons and things.

I think that color would look good w/ the simply chic.

My advice is to have her try it on and then see what you think. My MOH has a similar issue and it really just depended on the strapless dress that she tried on. Some were fine and looked great and others weren't so flattering. It's still your decision in the end if she doesn't like it and you do.

i am bigger on top and when i stood up in my best friends wedding she wanted me to wear a strapless dress. i was so uncomfortable in, that i almost told her i couldn't be in because she wasn't waivering in her decision about the dress. eventually after a lot of talks we found out that the dress came with optional spaghetti straps (i was told that almost all dresses come with that). so i used those. it actually did help. it's more a personal feeling of ok i'm not just going to pop out at any moment. i'm sure you know by now that the straps just help everything stay in place better, and when you are bigger, strapless bras don't really work.

that being said, i agree that you won't make everyone happy. just try and hear her out. have her try the dress on and see what she really thinks of it. maybe she will like the way it looks after all. if the dress comes with spaghetti straps would you let her use those if she felt more comfortable with them? but don't just ignore her...that could make for some long family events in the future years...

Hmmm, I don't know why its not working but you can go to alfredangelo.com, and then bridesmaid and its the "iridescent tafetta" collection, and I think its the dress that is pictured in blue (you can change the color when you click on it)

As for strapless and have "girls" my wedding dress is strapless and I'm top heavy....I bought a really good bra/corset thing from Dillards which works well, so no problems there!

Courtney - I love the colour! It really stands out and is a gorgeous accent!

I have to say though - the girl in the photo's dress is BEAUTIFUL. It's so stunning - I've always wanted a strapless but I wouldn't turn that one down in a hurry! It's gorgeous!
