Not sure if this is the right board, I need to make invitations for a Bridal shower and we want to do a beach theme, I am SO NOT CREATIVE. We need to make them economical(make about 75-80) but classy. Any ideas?

I make invitations and this is what I would do...

I would use blue and/or tan paper (double matting would look nice, but it will almost double the cost...). I also would make them 4.25 x 5.5 (a regular sized paper cut into 4). That is the size that invitation envelopes from staples fit. I would also probably use a shell clipart, maybe printed in another color centered at the top or "under" the words. You could also use white glue and sand as a border or along one side. Check verseit.com for possible wording choices.

Hope this helps a little. If you need to see anything, I could send you a few pictures.

We are going away for a few days. Do you need them today? Or can you wait until Friday? I probably have some rough files I can send right now, but nothing that is embellished.

I made my own wedding invites that were beach/tropical themed (we were married in Jamaica). I used a paper that looked slightly homemade, and printed right on it. I folded the cards so the front flap was a bit longer than the top, and then "tore" it, so it looked frayed. It gave it a softer look. I used some palm tree clip art in very soft, muted colors.

Have you looked at weddingchannel.com or theknot.com for ideas on their message boards?
