Brett Favre is in the building...

It isn't that he doesn't want to play, he doesn't want to do TRAINING CAMP. I am not a fan but it is very clear that the real motivation behind this is getting out of training camp-which I don't blame him. He would never make it though a season if he had to do training camp too.

Maybe he and Allen Iverson can get together. Who can forget Mr. Iverson's tirade when he missed practice and everyone made a big deal about it. :rotfl::rotfl:

We’re talking about practice man. We’re talking about practice. We’re talking about practice. We’re not talking about the game. We’re talking about practice.

Yes, I get that. But that's also my point - training camp is part of the job and part of playing in the NFL. I think that if you want to work, you need to do your entire job. If you can't make it through the training, then maybe you shouldn't be playing.

think of him as more as an outside consultant Ashley. Rules and work hours never seem to apply to them either -- and come to think of it they always seem to get paid twice as much too.

Okay, I'll revise my statement... no one (except for some Vikings fans) want him to come back. ;)

I wouldn't mind him playing every year if he would just make up his mind. You either want to play, or you want to retire.

:thumbsup2

I have nothing mean to say about Brett Favre, I think he is one of the best quarterbacks ever and has the stats to prove it, but I do have one problem with him.

I could care less if he wants to retire/not retire each year, but it drives me crazy that he almost expects teams to get down on their hands and knees and beg him to come back. I mean, a team isn't all about one player, but Favre wants everyone to act that way. It's all about him or nothing. That is my only problem with the guy...that and the fact that he is totally selfish when it comes to the team making them wait all summer long to see if maybe he will grace them with his presence.

I for one am glad he is back.

1) he gets to extend is INT record to unreachable heights
2) never gets old watching him throw an int to cost his team a playoff victory
3) make me appreciate the way ElWay did it. WENT OUT ON TOP

Well as someone who had to drive through that media mess yesterday, I can assure you, that there are A TON O'FANS who are very happy he is back.

When I read the first one I was like, "Really?" Then I realized you are not a fan! :rotfl:

Sorry, Favre fans, I just needed that little smile today...

Alright, somebody Please fill me in. Not that I've seen much ESPN lately, but when I have its been that he's not doing training camp because he wasn't cleared by his surgeon and the recovery took longer than expected.

And when on earth did Brett say He retired THIS SUMMER:confused3 I never heard him say that. I saw ESPN jump the gun on it.

I would have preferred to see him retire a Packer but he didn't. I actually like seeing him play the game, and think everybody reads way more drama into it the Brett ever created for himself. That's my opinion. I like the game better when he plays. And as for the money, The man has proved he's worth a mint on the field. Not like what's his name from the Jets who thinks a $20 million signing bonus to be paid at the end of his contract isn't enough.

DW is a huge Green Bay fan, but she still likes him and enjoys watching him play. I am a saint's fan and enjoyed the way they made him very uncomfortable in the payoff's. I hope he beats the Bears twice and losses to Packer's twice, have to live with the DW!

I found it sad that the Vi-queens had to send 3 players down to Mississippi to talk him into coming back. Sad.

Oh well, gives us two times to beat him this season!

Total Drama-Ryan Longwell, who used to be a Packer and 2 other Viking players were asked to go down to MS, and knock on Brett's door and beg him to come back. The 3 were "suppose to be representatives of all the Viking players". Brett has said numerous times, he loves the game, but he doesn't know anyone, or isn't close to anyone. I wonder why Childress didn't go down there again and beg him.

Makes you wonder how the scenario went.

Ryan Longwell, "hey Brett can you come outside and play?"
Brett: Deanna, can I go outside and play?

Deanna: "you can do whatever you want Brett", just go, I'll ship your clothes to Minnesota."

Apparently, Brett packed a small bag and just left. Ryan Longwell didn't think Brett would go with them. He said, Brett looked way to comfortable like he made his decision to retire.

Can't turn on any media here, go anywhere in mn. All you here is talk about this guy. Totally sick if it.
