Breeze Airlines experiences?

Has anyone had experience with Breeze in general? Also, have any experience flying from Richmond airport either with Breeze or another airline?

Considering giving this airline a try from Richmond to Tampa, but a little hesitant since I'm not familiar with Breeze. Nor have we flown out of Richmond before, I know the general area since we've stayed at airport hotels, but not for flights.

The outbound flight I'm looking at is important not canceled or being delayed by more than a day. Coming home we have more flexibility. (Right now we plan to drive to FL due to expense, but finding the right price with an airline that seems to fly as scheduled, we'd like to fly).

Haven't flown with them but you take a chance with any of these new/shoe-string airlines. They typically have fewer planes so if there is a weather/mechanical issue you are probably out of luck until another plane becomes available. If they don't travel a specific route daily or many times a day, you can count of having to wait days until you can actually fly. Everything they do is brand new so it also takes some time to become efficient running an airline. Seems like a good example of you get what you pay for and if you don't mind potential delays, might work out OK. If your plans require you travel on a specific day or two, I would choose some other airline and let others help them work out the bugs in starting up a new airline.

Thanks! This is why I'm asking about specific experiences with them since by this summer they'll be about 2 years flying from RIC-TPA. Wondering what their track record is or if they are a decent experience. Looks like Breeze flies daily for this route.

Even the big guys are not reliable these days, unfortunately. AA is pretty much one of my last resorts. SW, we were lucky last April with our 6 a.m. flight leaving at 9 a.m., everyone else after us was out of luck for 3 days...
