Does anyone know of a place I can donate/send the following breastfeeding supplies:

Medela bottles
Medela electric pump (it's 6 years old but works!)
A lot of extras to go with the pump like breast shields, etc.

I know someone can benefit from this stuff so I don't want to throw it out in the garbage! If receiving these things can help anyone stick with breastfeeding, that would be GREAT!

Thank you!

You could try calling your local maternity ward, Ronald McDonald House, Women's shelter, or even your local WIC office. Or better, do you know the number to your local La Leche League? I am sure they could all find someone that would be grateful to have that.

I'm pretty sure no one will take the breast pump they are "single" user pumps (unless you have the really really high end unit not the PIS or PIS advanced) If you'd like to donate them to a mom in need try freecycle or craigslist. The odds of breastmilk actually being tainted in the pump in itself is slim to none but since they are labeled as single user most hospitals and stuff wont let you reuse them

I called la leche league and they suggested I just keep it until someone I know could use it. Since it is 2nd hand they cannot pass it along to anyone else.

Thanks for the replies!
