Breaking! Ticket price increase coming at Disneyland!

Wowza! Those peak day one-day prices are getting up there! If this is the price for the middle of the construction project frenzy, the prices after Star Wars Land open are going to be insane!

my pass is going up to $619 so long as they keep the $40 renewal discount it is cheaper for me to wait until my renewal window opens up in April

I don't see anything about eliminating monthly payments for Annual Passes. I hope they keep the payment plan! :)

This is what I was most worried about, so I'm glad to see no major announcements! I'll have to check the site tomorrow to see if they still list it as an option, just in case they're trying to quietly have it lapse.

Interesting that no mention of the MaxPass was made for the higher-end APs. They'll have to announce what they're going to do about that at some point. Thus far, they've been rather vague about how that will work for AP holders who already have PhotoPass included in their pass.

No changes to the top tier passes. I'm good on a personal level. I was worried about a change to those since I'm still deciding if I'm going to upgrade to a Premier.

The other passes have such minor increases too. That could have been a lot worse considering it's been over a year since the last increase.

Those daily ticket prices, though... Ouch. And the parking is really getting up there.

Our group was expecting the increase closer to end of the month. We had a get together planned on Valentine's day. Everyone was going to purchase their tickets at the same time. We had a whole day planned of baking cupcakes, Disney monopoly, and park tickets. At least we still have cupcakes and monopoly. Everyone will buy them separately in a minor scramble today instead. :P

This also was a concern of mine as we're considering AP's again but not if there isn't a payment plan.

Not nearly as bad as I was expecting. And personally I'm pretty glad there was no increase to the Signatures. I find mine to be an excellent deal, especially now with another increase in parking.

The parking doesn't surprise me, Knott's and USH already charge $20. For the last 6 months or so I've expected it to say $20 every time I've driven into M&F.

We'll be there May 26-June 6 (yes, I know it's a long trip, lol). I need three one-day tickets for a blocked Deluxe AP day (Saturday, June 3). Would it save me any money to buy them today? I mean I would guess it would be either a peak or regular day, so not sure which one to get....and if I guess wrong then I would still have to make up the difference with the new higher price??

I'm not hugely surprised there is no increase to the two signature type passes. I expect they are holding off on that until they roll maxpass into the price later in the year. There is precedent with the big price increase when they threw in photopass as an extra perk. I'm kind of expecting the same kind of thing with maxpass - big increase for the signature pass prices but hey look you get this new benefit as part of the package and then a maxpass/photopass combo paid add-on for lower tier passes.

I thought about this but hoped it would have been announced with the other changes. Guess this means they might still be trying to figure out how to make the MaxPass work with the Signatures. The other question is if it makes the Premier go up as well, or will just affect the Disneyland-specific passes.

This does nothing about overcrowding. Ive always said Disney wants the parks packed every single day and this increase, just like the last, shows that. The increases are enough to make Disneyland more money but not enough to really scare anyone off.

They didn't do anything about payment plans which really would reduce crowds in the furture, but that would also cost Disney money. All these price increases do is make Disney more money and help keep the parks packed every day.

There is a calendar on the Disneyland website with which days are value/peak/regular. It would save you money to buy them today based on what it says on there (unless it doesn't show that far ahead- I haven't looked).

You need "regular" tickets for 6/3. You could do a lot outside of the parks for less than the cost of 1 day tickets. Including a day at Knott's, Knott's Soak City or a night at Great Wolf Lodge.

What is wrong with Disney wanting packed parks? I don't think it's overcrowded and they don't either. People who have an issue with the crowds will stop going, it appears for now there are plenty of other people to take their place.
