I got the book I wanted, I got a vacuum for the hard floors. No more broom! And I got tools, screw drivers and pliers with a tool box. I was always complaining about doing things and no tools. I got some scratchers. We went light this year as we are going on the cruise. My electric blanket I got on black friday went out tonid ght. We were talking and I started smelling somthing and I asked Chris do you smell anything? He said no. It smells like fire. He finally picked up the controller for the blanket and it smelled like fire and no longer works. I get to take it back tomorrow.

We had prime rib for dinner, roasted potatos, yorkshire pudding, monkey bread, jello and cesear salad. Sorry no pics so you will have to visulize.

Dinner sounds yum and you look like you scored with the gifts...'cept for the vacuum, tools and the fire starter...(sounds like too much work)

Most of them said it was pretty nasty. Spent a quiet day with our family and had tri-tip for dinner.

We only purchase gifts for the kids in the family. Our adult kids gave us Home Depot and Starbuck's gift cards and my Dad gave us some cash that I think we'll put towards a Kindle Fire for the Hawaii trip.

DH and I bought ourselves Pergo flooring and a TV for the bedroom.

Well I asked for the vacuum as my back goes out while beding over. So I can now vacuum them and not worry. Tools I also needed. The fire starter I could live with out.

Hi & Happy Boxing Day! Sounds like a nice mishmash of holidays, typical of a good Dis thread. We had family drama for some, quiet days for others & good food for all! Hope everyone is relaxed today & happy with their gifts.

Good luck with the blanket return Usnuz. I hate doing returns. Luckily I only have to return some PJs. DH noticed as he was wrapping them that the tops & bottoms were 2 different sizes. So for the first year ever, I had no new Christmas PJs to wear( a big tradition for us). I won't complain to him, but he went shopping & wrapped the gifts 3 weeks ago. If it was me, I would have returned them right then & gotten the right size, not wrapped them & given him a wrong sized pair. The chances are there will be a poor selection in the store now, especially since I won't even go near the mall til Thursday. Oh well. Just a little annoyance right?

We will be eating at Olive Garden quite a bit in the next few months: I think we got 5 gift cards for there! Plus a few other places we like. Dinner & a movie is our weekend go-to date night so it's all good!

I was really shocked, the mall was very light. Exchanged my blanket, in fact it even went down more in price from black friday so I got money back. That was well worth it.

Gotta love the family drama. I can honestly say my DH has nothing to worry about here.
