I am out shopping! How stupid am I? How is everyone?

You and DH are out shopping! He always shops at the last minute. He likes to do it then. At least I have broken him from asking me to wrap my own gifts! And from buying me household items

And thanks everyone for asking the TF for me! I must have done something really bad sometime that I don't remember

Maybe it was all the fart stories (true as they may be) that I told on that "Embarrassed" thread. Hey, it wasn't me that was passing gas, TF! Although I have been known to burp once in awhile when I drink soda.

Or maybe it was because I dropped my DSLR (Canon XSi) camera on the floor at The Wave last week. Now it doesn't focus properly. I still have my wonderful Canon G12 so I did manage to get some great pictures on our trip.

And you all thought I was Kathy, the quiet one......

No, we are open until 8 PM eastern time for our west coast staff. We have gotten exactly 2 calls today so far!

I just spoke to my DSis. Her office closed at 3pm and is closed tomorrow. Lucky her.

Same is true with many private companies etc. around here too but we are a company that does government contracts and we don't close unless there is a federal emergency such as a 3 day blizzard.

When I worked in schools or in central office they would go around and quietly announce that we could go home early as soon as the kids were on the buses etc. Now that I work in this situation, I work so many more days!

Yesterday was the last day of school in my local district. After I picked up DS and we went back in the school to wish his former teachers a Merry Christmas, we went over to my BFFs house.

His wife is a teacher at a private school. I asked when she would get home as I wanted to see both of them before they leave to spend Christmas with her family. He told me they have a regular Wednesday staff meeting, and she had just called saying they are having one that day, probably just to tell everyone happy birthday.

So we hung out and about an hour and a half later I said we, Me and DS had to get going. I was worried we were keeping him from packing.

So while we stood in front of the door with our shoes on, she called him to tell him she was finally leaving. Another reason for her to quite and teach at the public schools.

In the new movie Brave there is going to be a character who speaks scots and you won't be able to understand a word he says. At the Expo they had the actor playing the character on stage, he said a few lines and was hilarious!

I usually shop at the last minute too. Every year, I seem to have a different excuse, but it keeps happening. This year, we had our Disney trip from 12-01-11 through 12-11-11, and I did not want to buy gifts until after the trip (so I had more of a spending cushion on vacation). When we got back, we were too broke and tired to do anything. My husband gets paid tomorrow, so we will get started then.

I will stop complaining about not having a tag, because you deserve one way more than I do. After you get yours, I will start complaining again.

I have a funny fart story. DH had a traffic ticket, and we went to a group court session. As soon as the bailiff said please rise and instructed us to be quiet, "a friend," let out the loudest fart I've ever heard in my life. "My friend" meant to make it a slient one, but humor had other plans. I laughed so much I thought I would get kicked out of the courtroom. It never happened.

I dropped a DSLR camera about three years ago, and it just stopped working completely. DH still teases me whenever someone mentions our "new" camera.

Well actually I had three waters, and just as we were leaving got a glass of wine. Fran had two diet sodas, Arline had a water and two Iced Teas! Big partiers! woohoo!
