Breaking my own rule of going to Disney in the Summer..HELP!

I'll be in Jambo house from June 29th - July 6th

Kiderak, we will be in Kidani. We will arrive late afternoon on the 28th to check in, and head out for home mid morning on the 6th. Not sure what our itinerary will be just yet, but I am currently trying to nail it down so I can make ADRs soon. Maybe our paths will cross and we will get the chance to meet and say hello.

Y'all are making me even more excited about taking a summer trip!:cool1:

I would love to alternate between an early June and a spring break (first week of April) trip. That way, we can get 2 trips on each AP! DH doesn't want to go every year so the summer trips would probably be just me and the girls.

I have always been very worried about crowds and weather in June, but you are all so reassuring. We much prefer to stay up late rather than get up early so I really like the idea of hitting the parks in the evenings.

With a 3 year old and a "6" year old (she'll turn 6 two weeks after we return!) , I plan on sleeping in, eating breakfast and hitting the pool. :beach: We have a dinner planned one night at LeCellier but other than that, we'll probably eat dinner in the room and then hit the parks for the night.

Now, if we could just get those June park hours:rolleyes: .

First of all, thanks to everyone for their opinions/input, it REALLY helped me out. Now for the update...LOL
I decided to take my kids out the last week of school and leave 5/24:lmao:
After debating, reading, discussing, and planning, I think this is the best option. Really the Only downside is taking my kids out of school, and to be honest, they don't do anything the last week of school, so that was the decision.;)
I'm going on DVC points which are less before June 10th, the heat will be more tolerable and the crowds a little less abundant, so I switched. But without your honest and informed posts, I probably would have kept my previous plans. I can say that I feel MUCH better about this new itinerary and less feeling like--->:scared1:
So thanks again, YOU ROCK!!!:disrocks:

One possible repercussion to going 5/24 instead of one or two weeks later is while the crowds may be less, the heat will be similar but the hours won't. We plan on going this June and sleeping in till 10:30 or so, eating breakfast at the resort, hitting the resort pool (AKL) and then getting to the parks around 5:00 p.m. for a table service dinner and then doing from 6:00 p.m. to close whichever park is doing Extra Magic Hour night. We just plan on completely changing our body clocks to still do 8 hours or so at the parks, but without the extreme heat (or crowded that late at night). This May though, I suspect the hours will be cutback and will bust back open to real late nights again in June when schools close.

We go every summer - usually late August, but we've done July too.
It is HOT HOT HOT. :scared: But it rains in August so bring or buy a poncho - even if it is to just protect your stroller while you're inside an attraction.

Last year, my flip-flops actually started to stick to the pavement from melting. :rotfl:
A little rain was a welcome addition to a sweltering afternoon. We would get soaked to the bone and just keep on walking!
The crowds are better in late August than July. July you get a lot of the tour groups.
Plan to pace yourself and take afternoon breaks, it works out great.
Try to do the extra magic morning hours, stay until around 11-12, head back to the pool and swim until it's time to shower and get dressed for your dinner plans. Then you can hit the late night EMHs and see everything you wanted with less heat.

I, too, love summer nights at the World - :thumbsup2
