What works best in your opinion, pop tart, cereal bar, etc with drink in your room, then straight to park with maybe an early lunch or alternative breakfast in the hotel a subsequent later entry in the parks, with a later lunch.
I am staying at akl

For me it is easier for a simple breakfast in our room (mainly because dd doesn't eat much in the morning). However, DH has to have a huge breakfast when on vacation (why? I have no idea because he eats oatmeal at home). So this is usually an argument for us. Now my dh is great BUT usually I'm getting me and dd ready in the morning while he's reading brochures and looking at his watch. And it never fails, we always forget something and have to go back to the room after breakfast so by then we've killed about an 1 1/2 hours before even getting to the bus. I would much rather skimp on breakfast and get moving to the parks but I generally lose the argument. Last year I did send dh off to breakfast on his own so dd and I could get ready without all his helpful comments ("gee- aren't you ready yet?").

We have done cereal and bagels in our rooms but my family likes to get breakfast out a few times too and we normally do that at our resort although we are going to try WCC and CRT for breakfast this time as well as Fountainview Bakery or Electric Umbrella in EP and Starring Roles Bakery in MGM

We are not breakfast people, so I have pop-tarts, cereal bars, and other dry stuff to eat. Maybe once in a week stay we will splurge for a big breakfast. That would be a day we don't hit the parks, because everyone wants to wait until 10am or so.

We usually do Pop tarts and now my DD7 has added cereal bars to her fav list. We grab those with our Brita bottles and head to the bus. They are always gone before we get on. We then grab an early lunch around 11:30 avoiding lots of the crowds at the CS restaurants. We might do a few CS breakfasts this next trip since we will have some extra CS credits which I'm sure will slow us down, but I love breakfast food

We do the cereal bars and Pop Tarts in the room most mornings, then have an early lunch to beat the lunch crowd. The exception is when we do a character breakfast, usually one each trip. We have a late, light lunch on those days.

We will be doing 3 character breakfasts. The other mornings, we will eat in our rooms. Since many rooms have Coffee Makers and Fridges this makes it easier.

Fruit and Cereal Bars, Breakfast Bars, Pop Tarts, Applesauce Cups.

If you have a fridge, bring milk for cold cereal.

If you have a coffee maker, boil hot water for instant oatmeal.

We alternated between cereal in the room and room service, depending on when our lunch PS were. At the Poly we had really great room service -- all the benefits of going to Kona for breakfast, but it showed up to our door and we could eat while getting ready and not worry about losing time. There are the delivery fees that make it more expensive, but in relation to the price of the trip overall and how much time we saved while still being able to get a good meal, it was well worth it!

we always get to park at opening for ee ( or what ever it is called at the moment) so it's usually something simple in the room( or if we are really in vacation mode one of the pastry shop's bad bad bad breakfast treats), then an early lunch or if we are doing a later lunch husband takes a granola bar for a snack, not like he is going to melt away without it but he thinks he is and gets crabby other wise. ...we do big breakfasts on our rest days and leaving day as husband loves them( i like breakfast ok but need to be up a long time first but need cooooffffeeeee first thing)

Can you buy milk for cereal in the resort stores (we are flying--and not having a rental car on site-- we are staying at POFR--I think the store is Jackson Square is milk available :cheer2: ?)?

Two weeks from :cool1: today!!!

For us, a full breakfast at one of the resort hotels, NO lunch, then a big dinner around 6:00PMor so--.

I'm sure that you can buy it at POFQ, I know that you can buy it by the 1/2 gallon for $3.99 at Pop and I'm sure all of the resorts carry it also.

We do big breakfasts every AM - generally character meals and the earliest times we can get. We are all AM people - and all fall out by 9 pm so this works best for us. :sunny: For our Sept trip we've got CRT - Don's Brkft @ AK - 1900 Park Fair - Chef Mickey's - O'hana's - Storybook @ Epcot and Crystal Palace. WOW looking at that it looks alittle crazy. We love getting into the parks before they open, we've got great shots of DD in an empty Epcot and Main Street. Last trip we finish brkfst just before FL opened so we were standing under the castle waiting for opening and DD got picked to wave the wand and open FL. It was so cool!!

Since you are staying atAKL......if you choose to do a BIG beakfast one morning, my favorite one on property is at AK...Donaldsaures (cant spell it though) It is fabulous and if you like somethingnprepared a certain way....ex: eggs over med. right out they one come and it is a charter meal as well to avoid the lines later for photo with Mickey later.

I would alternate between the cereal bars one day and a hot breakfast the next (or two days of cereal bars, one hot breakfast, etc). It gives you a chance to utilize Early entry days but on parks where you don't necessarily care if you are the first ones in (Epcot for us because we don't do MS or TT), it is nice to have a hot breakfast and then a late lunch.

When we are at home and having our normal boring old life, I am a cereal bar girl and DH is bagels or eggs or something larger than what I would eat. When we go to the parks since its just the two of us we go to the Food courts at our hotel and have breakfast there. This might change when we have kids but normally I get something from the kids menu when we eat in any of the All stars. DH goes and gets something bigger.

We will be on the dining plan this upcoming trip and those Rice Krispie Mickey Mouse heads just scream "breakfast" to me! I have heard of so many people saying they had snack options left over. To me it just makes sense to use them this way.

Breakfast at Kona cafe the best  :Pinkbounc
