Any ideas on places that offer breakfasts as part of their room fee?

Check hotelkingdom.com for rooms with breakfeast included. the have many hotels that included breakfeast. Then check tripadvsior.com for hotel reviews.

HIFS has a buffet included as well as lots of free entertainement for little ones. They have an Entertainement card rate around $90-$130 depends on when you go, so may be too much (if you need more than 4 bed spots it is a good deal as one room sleeps 6). I just like it so wanted to throw it out there.

There are lots of okay places under that price. Beware some people would say they would never stay at a place that was under $50 a night (no offense really, but I think some people fail to understand what it is to be short on money, I saw recomendations for $189 rooms to someone on a "tight" budget)... find the people that do and have and they can tell you what is what. Some places are run down dives, but there are nice clean rooms in the under $100 price range.

Beware of Hotel Kingdom.com they have been know to way over charge for rooms. Use them for information, but book some other way.

People have been getting great deals at the DTD Holiday Inn (was something else, just got bought out) by bidding for rooms on priceline. It may be more $ saving to get a deal on a room and buy some bagels!

The place to look at is priceline/hotwire but first go to

and read everything. Read the how to's, the FAQ's and all the bidding reports. Learn the names and amenities of the hotels that are coming up for your dates before you bid. If your dates are flexable even better! BUT read all the info before you try this.

We LOVED Springhill Suites in Mariott Village (Lake Buena Vista). We had a free breakfast (it was only the type of stuff we have at home - cereal, muffins, bagels,juice, etc) - it was fine for us. The room had a micro and fridge and a sitting area away from the beds so the kids could sleep and we could stay up and watch tv. Nice tropical pool and a food court/mini grocer /game room on site.

We paid about $65 a night in early May - we watched the website and Sundays seemed to offer a little lower price online.

Sorry to disagree, places that you can easily book for under $50 per night (hotel, AAA rate) are VERY questionable. Kinghts Inn and Days Inn for example. If you're on a tight budget look to PL or Hotwire if you're flexible. If your less flexible look to places that take the Entertainment card or look to the consolidators. Generally hotelkingdom and quickbook have decent deals.

Keep in mind the "free breakfast" at the really low places is litle more than instant coffee and stale doughnuts.

You can get a lot of good properties for $50-$100 /night.

Usually hotels such as SpringHill Suites, Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn, Embassy Suites, and Homewood Suites have some sort of free continental breakfast. Nothing fancy but usually enough to get you going in the morning.

Here is a really good place and it Has a great rep here!!

And the HIFS with a good rep and a master bedroom w/ a door and with an Entertainment Book discount. It is 1 mile from Epcot WDW gates.

I am still doing some leg work on this one. So far The SpringHill Suites are booked and the HIFS has prices too high for us. I will keep trying! I am trying to stay in the $80 -$ 100 range.

Also transportation will be by bus(public) or foot or if I can into Downtown Disney area hotel I understand we can use Disney Transportation. A rental car is just not hitting it with the budget and all we need it for is getting to and from parks and airport.

Mousesavers has a special rate going on at Royal Plaza in DTD, and you may wish to see what kind of rates come up on www.orlando.resbid.com because I just booked a huge suite room at Hawthorn Suites near Sea World for under $75.00/night with breakfast and tax. Although you seem to have decided against a car, you might want to see what is being discussed on the Transportation boards. I saw people are getting Thrifty economy cars for $79.00 a week. The code is on the board. Sometimes staying a bit farther away (I-drive, Kissimmee) with a cheap car is less expensive than transfers/cab and close in.

We were very happy with Country Inn and Suites, Calypso Cay. The property is only a few years old, so still in great shape, the kids loved the pools and slide (as well as playground and mini-golf) and they have a free continental breakfast. They also had free chocolate chip cookies in the lobby every afternoon, which we enjoyed. Our rate in December was $43.88 (not including 11.5% tax) through Hotelkingdom. We had a good experience with Hotelkingdom, and were charged exactly what we were told it was going to be. But if you don't want to go with Hotelkingdom, I've seen good rates for the Country Inn at easyclicktravel.com, also. I've never used them before, though, so can't vouch for them.

We just got back today from Comfort Inn Suites Maingate on Irlo Bronson Highway--they have a free continental breakfast included in the room rates. We paid $54.00 plus taxes/fees for a total of $192.00 for 3 nights.

Since DH is low-carbing, we did not eat the continental BF, but it includes cereal, milk, muffins, etc.

Each room has a refrigerator and microwave, and there is a big grocery store (Winn-Dixie) in the shopping center right next to the hotel, so you should be able to do cheap meals in your room.

The hotel itself was clean, in a safe area, and had a pretty pool area (a regular pool plus a kiddie pool). I only had 2 criticisms of the hotel: the walls are thin and I was awakened EVERY night/morning by outside noise, and the rooms are dark (the hotel uses low-wattage compact florescent bulbs--we just bought 100 watt bulbs at the grocery store and screwed them into the light fixtures instead!)
